sleeping with mosquitoes

My room had mosquitoes in it, and when I called the reception they told me that whole Jeddah has mosquitoes. I’m not sure they expect everyone to sleep with mosquitoes in the room. I got bitten a couple of times but I managed to kill 2 mosquitoes the next day. However the hotel was nice and in good location. I would have given it 5 stars if there were no mosquitoes, and I didn’t like how they handled the situation when I told them about it.

Staff at hotel were super friendly and helpful with sightseeing tips. The room was very comfortable, clean and very quiet. A variety of restaurants and other services are within walking distance and it is very close to the Corniche for views of King Fahad's Fountain. Overall, a great place to stay.

The hotel reminded me of the new wave of hotels as they were built in the 70's: standard room, bathroom and public areas - but overall well kept.
Location was good for me but I would recommend hotel on the Corniche to others.
Food was excellent!

Very poor bathroom and shower area in Tub is a recipe for accidents. Its difficult to understand why the hotel cant check basics. 9/10 times you are likely to slip in the shower area as the tub is probably too old or not appropriate for adults to take a shower. Room quality below par for a Crown plaza property.

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Perfect. True five star hotel with all perks of that including very friendly staff who speak excellent english. Restaurant was offering so delicious food so it was hard to stop eating (and at reasonable price - 35% discount given at the front desk upon check out). Bridge caffe next to the pool is great as you can even enjoy sheesha :)

I stayed here for 2 nights on business visit. Excellent hotel in all respect. Great room comforts. Close to the King's fountain and the corniche for an evening walk.

They had fruits at my room. Water bottles were replaced every day. Comfortable non smoking room with king sized bed.

I usually stay at the nearby Intercontinental just around the corner but the rates there during my stay were exorbitant so I settled for the CP. Great decision, the hotel has recently been refurbished and the accommodation is spotless, bright and very tastefully done, the restaurant is very comfortable and pleasant.

This is my second stay in the Jeddah Crowne Plaza. The hotel is clean with good facilities, comfy rooms and generally clean. The breakfast bufet is suficient and so is the lunch without being too outstanding. The coffee shop is good for business meetings and they have a business center that is good if moe privacy is required but it requires pre-booking unless you are staying in their \"club\" rooms on the same floor.

The hotel was fine, the staff were pleasant and attentive. The room was as anticipated, of a decent standard. However, I made the mistake of eating at the 'Buffet'. The following day I was so ill, I had the worst case of food poisoning I have ever encountered. Not to be recommended....

Couldn't do much since the transports system for foreigners are not well setup. Drivers can't speak English, can't read google map in Arabic and don't know the area well. Wasted time on the taxi.

Great hotel for a lay over

Hotel is great, rooms are spacious, service is great. The grill restaurant is very nice and has a selection of very good steaks. I have previously stayed at the Jeddah Hilton and this hotel has far more modern rooms and better food but the lobby in the hilton looks nicer.

Perfect hotel for what I was looking for, a place to stay while waiting on my flight from Jeddah. Nice, clean room. Great buffet at hotel for dinner. Car service available for transportation to the airport, and an adequate fitness facility to get a run in. I'd def stay there again. I had also lost my luggage on the way into Jeddah so there was a supermarket and clothing store one block away well within walking distance.

Overall the hotel itself is very nice, well maintained and the staff are all courteous. Our room had a nice view of the vertical water fountain in the evening, which we enjoyed. The rooms were a bit small for my taste, but still comfortable so can't really complain. For the money, it's worth it to stay here although it is further away from airport and some shopping areas.
