We stayed in the room with a private jacuzzi and beach view. Great size room, bed was comfortable and staff tidied up room twice a day. Local sweets were gifted each evening. Like on a cruise ship! We also looked forward to the breakfast buffet. Selection was great. Loved the salad station, fresh pressed juice and local food options. Will stay here again in the future.

Had a great stay. We had a beach front villa and it was awesome. The staff were very friendly and professional, the chef in the restaurant deserves a Michelin Star, her food was devine. Both pools were outstanding, perfect temperatures, very clean and well maintained.
The villa was well equipped and kept spotlessly clean. We would without doubt visit again.

Mozquitos are a huge problem here. Both in the rooms and the grounds/gardens. The hundreds of bites i received made me feel sick ,that i did not feel able to eat properly.
I did not have breakfast for the last 4 days. Couldnt wait to leave.
The beer and wine prices are astromonic , 18 baht for small lager!
My room was very expensive, with large terrace/balcony/jacuzzi. It had no shade in the 30c sun, until after 13.00! Pool Sunbeds were very uncomfortable. Breakfast excellent, but missed last 4 days.No sign of a refund as a gesture from the hotel.
The management knowing I was ill offered me a complimentary meal!!

Rest Detail Hotel exceeded our expectations. It has an intimate feel and a relaxing and tranquil environment, with a Thai flavour.
We were greeted by the lovely Pong in reception and received a warm and friendly welcome .
Our room had a fabulous view of the ocean and was well equipped and the bed was so comfortable.
Breakfast offered a wide choice of western and oriental food and there was a juice bar .
The pool area was small , but with enough sun beds for guests who wanted to use this space . The Wiifi was fine but dropped out at times .
We loved our stay and would not hesitate to return

Welcoming and nice staff. Always there to help you whenever you need it. Breakfast was superb, much more than expected. Area was not so good for attractions/ other food. TV did not have many English channels if at all, but the room does come with a DVD player where you can ask for DVDs at the reception. Many little touches to the room that make it comfortable - Bluetooth speaker, slippers, flip flops, bath robe.. etc.

Seven days in the middle of nowhere. A hotel that is very very remote, and there is nothing of note close by. Even the main road which is about a mile away has nothing of merit on it, so be prepared for taxis and tuk tuks and the expense that comes with them.
My room was designed and decorated in the nineties and not since. Low bed, virtually on the floor, a small bathroom and a stain covered sofa. Small bathroom, with a massive sink, but no shaving mirror so you are three feet away whilst shaving. The A/C was really loud and even broke entirely one day.
Really expensive food, because they know you have no other options they can charge you the earth.
The sign outside asks that the room be tidied, not cleaned, and that was how it seemed. The bed was made and the towels were changed and that was all..
And this is a hotel that hates the smoker, you cant smoke anywhere on the hotel grounds, except under a tree on the car park.
To remote, way to expensive and dated. Better and more modern options are available, cleaner too.

Love this hotel

Very good experience! We stayed in Pool Village. It is very nice and we will choose this hotel again. Their service is very good:
- providing fresh fruit in the room on the day when we checked in
- prepared anniversary cake for us
- it's very sweet to leave some cookies or pastries... with an orchid and a message after tidy up our room everyday. This really cheer me up!
- excellent breakfast buffet: must try fresh carrot juice and egg benedict
- very good restaurant with very nice food
- excellent service - swift response on our request and help us to carry our shopping bags to our room proactively
- excellent staffs - every staff will stop and say hello to us when we come across in the hotel

The best hotel yet and well worth the money

Was very well organized and well worth the money for the pool villa I stayed in. Everything was exceptional. This has been the first 5 star hotel that I believe is truly 5 star indeed. I have their business card and do plan to keep Expedia in the loop when I decide to return to this hotel again. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone but only the pool side villas. I was really surprised when they took us out of the main building in a golf cart and when I opened the door, I was very surprised indeed. Just like the internet displayed. The main building is cheaper; however you do get what you pay for and paying the extra for the pool villa is worth every cent, would highly recommend this hotel.

A lot of mosquito in the room, spend some time to kill them. Hotel may consider to do fogging around the areas. Area is a bit isolated, need transport to go other place of interest. Should extend the operating time for the Swimming pool. Lucky hotel provide shuttle van to night market, great effort. Breakfast very yummy!! Keep up the effort.

Like the hotel name- really Rest Detail

The hotel is clean and tidy, the staff all are kind, friendly and helpful. Shuttle bus service is very good. The breakfast are varities and delicious, especially the Thai tea and coffee, they make them very well. We stayed in pool village room and we are very recommended. Only 14 rooms share a big and beautiful pool. Can enjoy the sunshine at the balcony and directly goto the pool. It's a wonderful trip to stay in this hotel. And the spa service is very good too.

You'll need to walk a few minutes to reach a local neighbourhood convenience store but the surrounding area of the hotel is fabulous and great. You can really get yourself relaxed and relieved. Prices of in-room dining are very reasonable (e.g. beers priced similar to 7-11) so you don't have to look for food elsewhere. This is a good tactic as guests are willing to consume and they can achieve higher turnover.

Quiet and peaceful hotel 10min drive from centre

Just returned having spent 4 nights at the Rest Detail. If your looking for quiet and chilled this is perfect. The Breakfast choice was outstanding as was our room. Staff were very helpful. Restaurants are available at the Rest Detail but if you want to venture out for a bit of Thi life, great cheap food, drink and shopping the centre is about 10-15mins drive away. A shuttle bus is provided but the last pick up is at 830, however a tuk tuk ride back will cost you £4. Not sure if it was the time of year but we were the only western couple in the hotel all other guests were Chinese ( apparently Thilands biggest tourist group). The beach was also great for walking and the sea warm but far to hot to sunbath at this time of year.

Best Thai hospitality

I've been staying in 4 other 5 stars hotels in Thailand during the visit. RD is high up among all the big international names, and better than some.

All staffs are Thai and manage to deliver top professional hospitality impeccably, without any Westerners' guidance.

I don't judge them on how good they are- but how well they can rectify any imperfections. RD efficiently, enthusiastically and promptly address any issues of concerns and follow up to ensure that there will be no recurrence.

All the staffs are naturally pleasant and dedicate to the customers' wellbeing. Whereas their natural views are as good as anybody on the same beach, their anticipation of needs and customers' recognitions are on top of my memories.

Overall the hotel is good and quiet, not much people stay here. The location is close to the beach and town. But the beach is closed during my stay. Almost all the staff are very bad, not polite, not nice, not helpful, no smile, even not saying hello when they meet the guests.

Waken up in 6.30 AM and disappointed by noise from a large group of people in the lobby that came for the banquet (wedding) on that early morning.
Terrible resting experience ever had from that hotel.
Other things were nice and great. Staffs were very well-trained and very friendly.
Very warm welcome could be expected from this hotel.

We were in the Pool Village, which was well worth the extra money. Our room was a bungalow with a porch, sun deck & the 'back yard' was a pool. Amazing!

This resort offers excellent service & an excellent breakfast selection for pretty much all nationalities (& fresh home baked bread). It's very peaceful & relaxing hotel (even though the was quite full it didn't at all feel crowded) & a jazz band plays in the restaurant on Saturday nights which is a nice touch. The restaurant was lovely however as fans of authentic Thai food, we felt the Thai food in the restaurant had been changed to cater for non-Thai tastes. Understandable but not for us. There is a large selection of western food for diners who prefer western food.

It'a located quite a bit away from the main drag however offers free shuttle bus service. I much preferred being located away from the noisy areas & using the shuttle bus service to get in & out.

The beach isn't the best I've seen however still swimmable & much nicer than other locations e.g. the Hyatt's beach was full of rocks, rubbish & non-hotel residents.

There is a 7 11 & convenience store about less than a 10 min walk away & if you love Thai food, some local restaurants in the opposite side of the main road.

Overall, extremely impressed with this resort.

A great place for family, we stayed in the rest Horizon room and enjoyed a lot the in-room private pool. You will love seeing the sunset in the private pool. Location wise it's not too convenient if you do not drive. It's fine for us as we rent a car and they provide parking space. Breakfast is good!

Medium sized hotel, so people looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, this would be a good choice. Breakfast was delicious and the pools were great.

Staff were very friendly, quick check in and basically catered to anything we needed.

A little out of the way so if you don't drive, i'm not sure how you will get around. There should be a shuttle but can't confirm.

Nice Hotel!!

The location of the hotel is a little bit hard to find but it worth to stay. When I and my family arrived I told my family to wait me at the lobby when I I go park the car. As soon as I finished parking the car there was staff with golf cart waiting for me to send me to the hotel even the car parking and the hotel is only less than 300 meters away. During the check in process the staff is very beautiful but she havn't smile at all it would be better if she smile. I booked Pool Village and the room was same as the picture. When my family want to go for a swim, i notice that the housekeeper forget to place the swimming towels at the chair becasue I saw swimming towels at other room chairs exept ours, Later i call the operator to send us the towles. Their afternoon tea set is very cheap, below 700 baht including tax, the set include 2 drinks, fruits and sweets. At night when I want to shower i notice that the water is little be brown so i ask the operator to see if it normal. After that the operator send engineer to the room to check the pipe. After an hour te engineer recommend us to change the room because there were mud inside the pipe and it will take hours to clean, after that we chage the room.

We've booked the Rest Horizon, and the view was not as expected, might be due to our room location on the 3rd floor. Guess only the 4th floor could see the sea.

Lovely hotel - impeccable service

Stayed in Rest Spirit. Room is modern and cutely designed - loved the bathroom design and the kohler shower head on the walls!

Service is impeccable - every time we came back into the room during the day there were pleasant surprises - once a delicious plate of Thailand snack was on our bed and the room was replaced with fresh towels - really felt we were well look aftered!

They offer free ipod with their selection of music - we played it in the room which was very relaxing.

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Stying at this boutique hotel was a great experience. It was small enough to provide a more intimate experience, while large enough to offer lots of amenities. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they offered very exceptional service. The breakfasts were great, and the extra little details like fresh fruit everyday and a little evening treat with the turn down experence really made us feel special. This hotel is a little away from the town of Hua Hin, but the hotel offers a free shuttle service several times a day. We also walked the 6km distance a number of times to help combat all the good food. Would definitely return if we were in this area again

Nice hotel with good service

We enjoyed our stay at Rest Detail Hotel very much. Excellent front desk staff with good services provided. Only setback is that it is a bit pricey during peak season considering the facilities it have compared to other similar range hotels.

Not for lovers of soft beds!

Lovely hotel with superb ambience. Disadvantages are the relatively hard beds and the location a few km out of town. There is a hotel shuttle which should be made complementary and this would turn this diadvantage into an advantage. Great jazz band on Friday and Sat nights.

Nice hotel

Very deco hotel. Spacious room which is neat and tidy.
Staff are friendly with good language skills.
The hotel provides shuttles to a mall and market which is convenient.
