The staff were always friendly no matter where you wondered. The lobby was full of light with opportunity to sit and watch TV. The breakfasts were full of variety on the buffet and à la carte the eggs Benedict was delicious. The pool area overlooked the golf course and felt tropical. Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the golf course and ponds and the trees which spread from left to right. Even on a rainy day it was nature at its best. Early check in with bottle of wine for my Birthday

Matthew. I had spoken to him prior to arriving that I had a long drive to get to the hotel for a wedding that started before check in. He say they would try to have the room ready and it was. He was there to greet me. The room was cool but nice extra blankets were sent up. Cozy.

Check in was great, rooms are „dated” beds not that comfortable, the iron was damaged and burned a shirt. Temperature control was very temperamental - woke up in the night and felt like we were sleeping in a sauna. It was either full on heat, or full air conditioning - nothing in between. TV don’t work, and then realized that all the plugs were out!! So random. Breakfast was great, amenities and shuttle to Adamo was the bomb! Basically a mixed review….

Our room was ok. Terrible cold draft along the floor. When our room was tidied up by housekeeping the person took my husband’s toothbrush and toothpaste which he had wrapped in a washcloth on the bathroom counter. We have always understood if u want your towels replaced to leave them on the floor. They couldn’t locate the stuff so provided $20 credit to our bill. Also got into the shower, got wet, then realized there was no shampoo in the dispenser. So frustrating.

The room was the main issue for the stay. - The bathroom was extremely basic- Cold water tap for the sink wasn't attached properly- poor quality toilet paper. The shower head is better at home than at the hotel, as is the water pressure and temperature. The water was luke warm, bordering on cold for the entirety of the stay. There was no boot holder for our soaking wet boots, making the floor wet as well at the entrance, which was very close to the bathroom. Also, had I known there would be a wedding during the stay, I would have come another time, as the children continued to make noise up and down the hallways well past the 11pm noise curfew. I will say the staff were very polite, both at the front desk, during breakfast, and dinner. I would come back for the spa alone, and stay somewhere else for less money.

Yes nice room. Helpful staff.
We ste at Baboo Tue night and Cabin Wed night. Had an issue with luke-warm fries on a cold plate that came with chicken sandwich at Baboo.
At buffet b.fast, again hot eggs & bacon, pancakes on cold plate not ideal. Easy fix.
(heated plates for all hot foods go a long way to keeping them hot).
We my return in the fall do l hope this comment goes somewhere.

I love staying here. This time I was disappointed as I forgot my phone charger and die to the hotel not being updates there was no option to plug my phone cord into any outlet. When I asked the front desk he just replayed saying they have regular outlets and that’s all.
I had to sit in my car at night to charge my phone .

Nice property and friendly staff. It wasn’t busy but seemed noisy…dogs barking in rooms, lots of noise from outside room late into the evening and again early in the morning. May only affect rooms on the ground floor but didn’t make for a great experience in the evening.

There was a delay in checking in, as the room was not ready. The staff indicated that we would receive a text when to obtain the key. The text never came.
The room that was booked was not available, so they had to accommodate in another room that was similar. The fireplace did not work, despite numerous attempts.

Breakfast was cold .. staff at the front desk were unhelpful and had a poor and unhelpful attitude .. was not worth the money … the property has definitely one downhill under current ownership

Would be nice if they had a room with activities for older kids like pool/ping pong table etc.

Spa is great. Would have like more pressure applied during my treatment as I didn't get out as much as I would have liked.

The place is beautiful….did not like the bathroom, first didn’t have a shower curtain, the tub was pretty unsafe to stand in, and the toilet was way too low and uncomfortable to flush… loved the bedroom being its own room and the furniture was really nice.

Our stay at the Hockley Valley Resort was quiet, for the wedding we were attending and quite pleasant. The room was very comfortable although showing definite signs of wear and tear..... also the bath and shower area appeared renovated , we could have tripped over the wrinkles in the carpet. The check-in procedure could have been streamlined immensely. Although promised, check in staff neglected to notify us when our room was ready and we had to kill 3 hours in the restaurant prior to room availability.

The spa is fabulous but outdated. I have been coming to the spa for 12 years and it’s looking tired.
The staff however were top notch.
The rooms are a bit dated as well and so is the carpet square in the elevator.
The Cabin restaurant was excellent with fresh , local items on the menu.
Again, the staff in the restaurant was fantastic.

I absolutely loved it there. Everything was perfect. The food at Cabin was so delicious. The chefs have put their heart into that food. The lamb...to die for. Also our server Craig was so good at his job!

The soaps in the bathrooms were wonderful, always nice to have a)squeezeable bottles and conditioner!

We had a wonderful stay at the property. We agreed that we had to come back again. The room was beautiful and the heated toilet seat was a bonus! The only thing was the front desk stay who checked us in was not very helpful and did not explain the amenities on site, even though the other front desk staff was explaining in detail to the other guest checking in next to us. Rather than that, we had a wonderful stay.

The room has a terrible smell as it’s 100’ from septic tanks.

We have enjoyed their restaurant on many occasions and the food was always excellent.

We had to leave our home to a flood and the smell.

First impression on the room, I can absolutely say that I would never stay here again and I definitely would not recommend it to my family, friends or business associates.

Adamo winery experience is very special.
I broke a glass on my patio, and staff person was very kind and careful in cleaninig it up, even using a flashlight to ensure all specs of glass were removed.

But

I have written a review for management
- service at front desk. hotel not busy, and they could have easily offered us a better room for minimal or zero expense as we displayed frustration.
- there is an old portion and new portion. On Expedia you only get old portion - and nobody says.
- A/C old and loud.
- golf green lawnmower started at 6am.
- coffee in lobby after I woke up was moved away from me as I was working.
- Management has rationalized these comments, not represent any interest in listening or modifying behavior.

I wish this had lived up to expectation for our 2-night stay over March Break. Unfortunately, for the price charged, it was underwhelming, clearly understaffed, and underserviced. One of two elevators was out of service for our stay yet we were given a room on the top floor (that wasn't ready at 3PM when we arrived-?), no housekeeping service was done on our room at all, the hot tub was out of service for our entire stay, and the main restaurant, Cabin 1865, was closed both days we were there. On our last night, the bar - our only dining option - was filled with daytrippers. We dined offsite. The spa also didn't appear to have any RMTs on staff; thusly no appointment availability. I noticed twice that the pool door had been deliberately hinged open and those using the pool/lockers were also not hotel guests. In the end, we appreciated that we were refunded the resort fees (at least!) as there were clearly no resort features to take advantage of during our stay. Again - it was March Break(!) and those visiting for the day were taking advantage of all the amenities that should be prioritized for paying guests! We appreciated the breakfast that was included and the facial I had at the spa was great. Then again, there too (at the spa) I booked a second, additional 50-minute treatment for me and my daughter on check out day and only got 35-40 minutes of the paid $400 service. Yes, we noticed! Not sure we'd stay here again; daytrip only for the slopes and maybe the winery!

We came during the holidays and they had different activities for kids. The game room was a hit with our kids. In the evening there was a zoo to you and the facilitator was incredible.
We also did ski lessons and the instructors patience with the beginners and encouraging.

Great course, shame about the hotel.

Moved to a room withbalcony and ended up in the old section. Long walks to get to elevator thru a mazelike excursion tofrkm room. Shabby room condition, door to balcony required hard force to open and close as was filthy in the runners and like everytning required worrk. No fridge, no micro wave, and trying to get hell from frknt desk was impossible as the guy wasnt there once when i went down three times and calling of course was unanswred. With the exception of the manager who falitated the move the staff were either non existent or their attitude was one of superiority rahter than service. The golf course is spectacullar or the rating woukd be lower!

The area is nice. The hotel itself is extremely outdated. Lacked cleanliness. Its clear house keeping does not vaccum or dust as there were a lot of spider webs and spiders in the room. The floor i was on had the spa and the hallway was very musty smelling. Probably would not book again.

Attended for a wedding at the winery. Anything involving the wedding was great. The service and food was very good. Breakfast service was also great and attentive. Everything that didn’t involve the wedding, however, was sub par. Room was standard and not worth the extra price point. The bar and lunch was the biggest let down. Service was not attentive and very slow. The food and drink selection left a lot to be desired. Long story short, I will not return and had it not been for a wedding I would have been very disappointed.

Overall the room was very nice, but the property facilities and building itself was quite outdated. Breakfast buffet was good quality, but pricy for $70 if you did not do included in stay. Very easy to park and check-in… staff was very friendly. There was also no body wash in the rooms which was odd, but otherwise it was a gorgeous property!
