The only downfall was the pods walls are very thin, we could hear the next rooms tv till late and then early wake of the rooster. But otherwise really loved our stay, Would love to come back again!

I stayed in a pod expecting a full size bar fridge and a shared kitchen. I also asked for a king bed but was given two singles instead. The fridge is the size of a small cooler and was placed in the wall above my head. A/C has been retrofitted into the wall, not a heat pump unit. Hardly any space. Paid a discounted rate, would not pay full rate. Carpet had not been cleaned near the bed head and the shared kitchen was not in the block I was staying in. Staff were good but did not explain the separate amenities or activities that could be done on site.

We LOVED our stay at Iron Creek Bay! My son, who is 4, was so happy to feed the animals, and there was a nice big playground and large amount of land to walk around. Our room had a gorgeous view and was comfortable and clean. There is a common kitchen area, as well as coin laundry and some treadmills. Also, the restaurant on site was the best meal we had in Tasmania. Perfectly executed Kingfish with a crispy, salty skin, charred broccolini, and rich chocolate ganache with cherry glaze made from the cherries grown on the farm. Amazing!

Great place to stay in Tasmania and absorb all the local environment and cuisine delights. The Iron Creek Bay Estate is a sprawling place and has many beautiful sights. It is a perfect farm stay and service is excellent. The rooms are comfy and you get a great breakfast.

Nice enough room but the timer for bathroom fan set wrong and stops when you are in the shower so the whole room fogs up.
Motion sensor needs to be set more sensitive and timer set for more time so the fan runs more then 20 seconds.

What an incredible property. The pods are so neat and modern, the service was impeccable and professional. We stayed here before and after completing the three capes walk and the location was perfect. 5 minutes back into sorell and about 50 minutes drive to the port arthur site.
Im going to come back with my daughter so we can make use of the amazing activities around the property like the fruit picking and animal feeding.
Only negative was that the pods got really hot and the air conditioner was really loud right next to the bed at floor level. Wall mounted air conditioners would make the pod rooms a 10/10

A short stay visiting family, our room looked out over the farm toward the bay, which was great. Some rooms are in small groups in separate pavilions, all seperate from reception and resturant. Nice laid back part of the world, quick drive from airport.

The rooms are mainly timber inside with looks beautiful but gathers alot of dust so room was quite dusty ( which is uncomfortable for people with allergies or sensitive to dust ) the rooms were very clean other than the dust. Poorly executed but a nice place
The stay was fairly good and I would maybe stay there again, there were just quite a few niggly things that could have been better. Booked two queen rooms, one for my mother and one for myself and 9 month old baby. Disappointed at parking - was an effort that required driving the wrong way down one way lanes to unpack luggage or multiple treks across the site with baby and pushchair loaded with portacot etc. Rooms were in different buildings. My room had ants in the main kitchen and also in my room itself - were offered to move but to a different building and I had already put the portacot up. Vanity pack in bathroom was opened and put back in drawer. Shower head left facing out the door so squirted water everywhere when turned on. Other guests left dishes piled in the communal sink and then washed loudly at 10pm, although my baby grizzled all night so I’m sure that would have been annoying too. An absolutely horrible pony stole all the animal feed and staff just agreed yes that pony is mean. Couldn’t feed an alpaca because of this. Booked online at the restaurant and weren’t told it was a set Valentine’s Day menu, set price and food - also wasn’t told on check in either. Restaurant is also at the opposite end of site than accommodation so you need to either return to the highway or drive the wrong way through the grounds. Lastly, piano in reception was terribly out of tune. So - overall it was suitable, but just disappointing as it could have been amazing.

This was a nice, relatively new looking place to stay and only a short drive from the airport. Accommodation was comfortable and clean, but we were mislead by the pictures and descriptions, as we thought that all of the paddock apartments had their own kitchenette. This is actually not the case, as each of the small buildings has 5 separate hotel rooms in them, with 1 communal kitchenette.
Their restaurant was good and had a nice view, although it's a bit far from the accommodation area. It's beautiful to walk around the property which has a lot of animals that you can feed, and fruit trees growing everywhere. They even allow you to pick some fruits of the season if available.
Their restaurant was good and had a nice view, although it's a bit far from the accommodation area. It's beautiful to walk around the property which has a lot of animals that you can feed, and fruit trees growing everywhere. They even allow you to pick some fruits of the season if available.

We stayed 3 nights and visited Port Arthur and Maria island while we were there. The room was small but very functional. Very clean and modern. The property is amazing with fruit trees and farm animals all about. Nice to walk around. We ate at the restaurant one night which was good with a spectacular view, and quite handy. The property is beautifully landscaped.
