We liked the scenery and the setting was beautiful. The problem was related more to cost and food choices. Because it cost 50 euros each way to go to town, we were generally stuck at the hotel and its limited offerings. The hotel had a shuttle which made only one trip to town a day at inconvenient hours. The wine at the restaurant was outrageously priced at 140 euros for local wine. The only other option for better priced wine was the prosecco at 55 euros. We were not allowed to bring own wine to the restaurant. It seemed everyone had their hands out for extras except the cleaning staff. Although we tipped everyone, we were told at check-put to tip more in cash beyond what we already tipped. Even the transfer driver wanted an extra 40 euros cash on top of the already 50 euros paid at the hotel because he had to wait an extra 1/2 hour even though we gave advanced notice of a change in time for pick-up. We are sorry about this review since you a lovely hotel and the greeting we received when arrived was exceptionally good. However, you need to provide people with more flexible options with reasonably priced wine and transfer/taxi prices or a more accommodating shuttle service.

the stay started with a bit of a problem because facility had issues with amenities and condition. Majority of our family members got either mosquito bites or bed bugs bite all over including me. The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to make us comfortable under those conditions. The rain caused a lot of problems for our family's wedding event but the staff made accommodations and all were exceptional relieving the stress and the burden the rain placed on us. We really appreciated them putting all of their efforts into making the wedding event a memorable one for us.

The hotel was lovely. The manager, guest services and the cleaning ladies were all great. They did an amazing job moving the wedding to their sister hotel due to the weather. The only thing that was not awesome was the service at the restaurant. The service was very slow and they did not listen to what you requested.

This place is a paradise! If you are planning Mykonos for your next vacation, this is the spot. Just one thing, you will need a car or a motorcycle. Around the area you will not find thinks to do.

Felt very secluded and private, just what we were looking for. Staff is extremely friendly without exception and do an excellent job to make the stay unforgettable.
Really nice rooms and the beach (accessed via many steps) is almost private with rarely more than 10 visitors. No services provided there- it’s a „wild“ beach.

I chose this hotel on purpose for a quiet week away from everything. It is in a remote area at the NE part of the island, there is nothing close except some other beaches & a restaurant; (Taxi from airport/town €50). The rooms are beautiful & I felt like I had my own villa. The private beach was great, the pool is big w/ plenty of lounge chairs, an area in the shade, and another space below with umbrellas. The food in the restaurant was delicious w/ a relatively good range of options.
Really the only issue I had were weddings on 2 nights. I picked this hotel on purpose - to be away from the partying and clubs etc but unfortunately I spent 2 nights listening to a DJ. The day of the wedding the hotel staff & wedding planners etc were buzzing around moving tables, setting up- the restaurant was closed so room service was the result. The morning after the 1st wedding a member of staff came was at breakfast & apologised for the noise & how late it went on. She said the next wedding would certainly be over by 10:30pm. The next wedding's speeches were at 10pm, followed by fireworks. The DJ music quietened down, (but did not stop) at 11:45pm. When I brought this up to the staff the next morning, they apologised but it didn't seem to care. There is no doubt these weddings produced large revenue for the hotel, but it was clear that the other paying guests were secondary/irrelevant. So, if you're looking for a quiet getaway this is the place, as long as there are no weddings.

This Gem is truly a beautiful and unique property/resort on Mykonos. The location, true to be at the North Eastern coast of the island, however, it’s at an incredible location. Its private location, dedicated private beach plus the rooms themselves are basically your own little villas with great privacy and view of the pool and sea with the other islands, smaller isles, other natural, private, public and gorgeous coves and beaches within a short walking distance.
The staff is above and beyond friendly, professional and helpful.
I, personally, would definitely go again to the “Party” island, and stay at Grecotel Lolita, specifically for the beauty and privacy.

This hotel is 20 minutes from the town center but if you can afford the taxi drives it’s much more peaceful and worth it. My only complaint is they never answer the phone.

Good, but mixed feelings

Positives: Hotel has a great location, picture perfect views of the sea and great infinity pool. Staff is lovely; makes you feel very welcomed. As many others have said, location is quite remote for Mykonos, and far away from the crowds (which we deemed a positive!). AC worked well.

Negative: Without the fantastic view, this hotel would not get the reviews it gets. The rooms/bathrooms are showing their age and in need of a refresh/renovation. Breakfast was just acceptable; limited and could have done with some more interesting options/changes each day.

Takeaway: The hotel suited us and we appreciated the peace and quiet of the location. For the cost we paid and the other raving reviews, however, we were expecting a bit more (in particular of the rooms themselves).

A wonderful stay on the quiet side of the island.

The staff at Mykonos Star made our visit so enjoyable. They really helped us get to know the island. The hotel itself is beautiful. There is an amazing view from the pool patio. overlooking the sea. The location is on the quiet side of the island. There are beautiful beaches within walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious (much to choose from!). We hope to return to Mykonos Star one day.

Beautiful and relaxing resort - family owned and run. Breakfast buffet, gated property, private beach, pool, amazing views. Very quiet (only 21 rooms) - friendly and caring staff. Nothing within walking distance - some transportation is needed (staff can reserve a taxi for you, or you can rent a car, moped, or ATV). My suite felt like an apartment (full kitchen, living room, large balcony, separate bedroom) - it was wonderful.

Amazing hotel. View of the ocean is incredible, infinity pool is beautiful, the restaurant has great food and is good value. The staff is SO helpful!! Picked us up from the airport which is 20 euros but I would recommend it. They helped us book a atv which I would also recommend doing in advance for a better deal. They were so friendly and gave us helpful tips for places to beach, eat, drink, sunset or relax. I booked the hotel for our honeymoon and my wife loved it. Would definitely come back.

Nice hotel in a quiet location, great service!

We had an amazing honeymoon at this place. Great views over the ocean from the hotel, nice infinity pool. Service was fantastic and the food they served was delicious as well. Would have loved to see a larger menu available though, as they clearly had a skilled chef. The area is definitely quiet and not much else around, which is fantastic if that's what you're looking for, we loved it. If you're after some hustle and bustle near the city, it's probably not for you, though they do have a transfer service available (at a cost of course).

Infinity Pool with Mediterranean Sea View

We arrived very early after a long flight. We were greeted by Sia the owner. She gave us a place to refresh, and welcomed us to breakfast. Then gave us towels so we could enjoy the pool while we waited to check into our room. The staff was incredible. We felt we were guests in a relatives home. It was very enjoyable. The private beach was stunning. The grounds were very clean and the room was comfortable. The food was very good. It was a quiet retreat, and a wonderful way to start our Greek Vacation!

Mykonos Star is exactly what I had hoped for. The photos on the Expedia website are a very accurate representation of the hotel. I arrived there late in the evening, had a great night sleep and the next morning I woke up to the most stunning views of the sea, which is visible from every part of the hotel. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is a small fridge that I found very useful especially if you do not want to eat every meal at the hotel restaurant. The food was great though and reasonably priced for Mykonos. The restaurant is on a balcony above the sea and the staff were attentive without being overbearing.

This is the perfect hotel if you want to relax and re-charge. It is off the beaten track...really! There are no buses to town or shops nearby. The hotel offers lifts to Chora (capital) as requested for a fee but you need to get a taxi back. If you want to explore the island I would strongly recommend hiring a car.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It was everything I hoped for.

Perfect for a Restful Getaway

We loved the Mykonos Star!! It is just a beautiful villa--I think it is probably the prettiest hotel on the island from what I saw on hotels.com. The infinity pool is really nice and the food was great, even though a little pricey. The service was also fantastic! I lost my camera earlier and the desk clerk bent over backwards trying to retrieve it for me. The only thing that may need to be considered is the location. It's not located within the town--maybe about 5 miles away, so it might be better for those who are interested in beaches rather than shopping and nightlife. It's a beautiful location though and the private beach below the hotel is also very pretty and convenient. We rented a car so it was the perfect place for us!

Our lovely, relaxing stay at Mykonos Star...

Overall, we had a great stay at Mykonos star. Some of the standout elements included: (1) the charming, semi-private beach right down the steps from the hotel, (2) the hotel restaurant (cooked the chicken dishes to perfection), and (3) the family-owned atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. The only downside was that it was a 15 minute drive between the hotel and Mykonos Town, coupled with the lack of cabs (there are only 31 cabs on the island) and cab drivers dislike of driving to the Agios Stosis area, made us not want to go into town. Therefore, I would suggest that you rent a car or arrange some kind of car service option with the hotel.

Perfect if your not looking to party hard !

Absolutely beautiful hotel and views ! We chose this hotel so we were away from the party life of Mykonos and it was perfect for that. Definitely have to have a car or scooter to get to and from here but I would suggest that anyway for the island . Food at the restaurant in the hotel was delicious as well. Breakfast could have been a little better . Overall lovely, staff very welcoming!

Our stay at the Mykonos Star was fantastic. George picked us up from the airport which is around a 10-15 minute drive away. The hotel is very close to Agios Sostis beach and then has its own private beach and infinity pool. The views from the rooms are amazing and the rooms themselves are nicely decorated. We had two huge king size beds, great air con and a nice outside space to have some drinks/eat on. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel and it even extends to the beach - though sometimes best to switch off! The hotels location is probably it's biggest pro and biggest con depending on what you are looking for. It's such a relaxing location though is relatively far away from the town. We hired a car for a few days given that there aren't many taxis in Mykonos but George did provide us with a taxi number and offered us lifts when he was available into the town/beach parties. The cost into town was always between 15€ and 30€. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast and the Veranda restaurant had a great selection of lunches/dinner options. Nadia in the restaurant was particularly friendly as was George. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

A little paradise..

We just finished our 15 days stay at the Mykonos Star and do not have a single bad thing to say about it. The whole staff treat you like family. We had a wonderful time there. Great salted water pool, food at the Veranda restaurant is superb and locally sourced.

The hotel is lovely, peaceful, and great for people who wants to get away from the crowd. Since this was our first time at Mykonos we wanted to stay close to city center. The hotel is far! Way to far to even walk! I blame Expedia for the poor/bad recommendation!

The Star of Mykonos

To categorise this hotel as the best on the island will be an understatement. We had the most amazing time there, next to the unbelievably pretty Agios Sostis beach, with magnificent panoramic view of the bay. Staff and facilities were of impeccable standards.

I stayed here with my partner for a week just to get away, relax, and get some sun. This hotel was ideal for that. The private beaches are beautiful and so is the pool which overlooks the sea, and our room was very comfortable and clean - lovely to come home to after a day out exploring. The staff were extremely friendly and chatty and really helped to make the stay lovely. The only slight issue we had was the transport into town but other than that it was fantastic.

Amazing quiet location in Mykonos

This is a beautiful and excellently-maintained property just 10-minutes away from the port and Mykonos Town. It is romantic and quiet, located in an amazing bay with your own private beach. The pool and terrace overlooking the bay are beautiful - and the food in the restaurant is fantastic (although breakfast is a bit light). The family and staff are all very friendly and customer-oriented - and Alessandro at the reception will help arrange anything you need!

We stayed at Mykonos Lolita and got what we needed: a place to relax and enjoy, away from crowded areas. It is a bit „off the grid“ so I‘d recommend to rent a car. Prices in the restaurant are on the pricier side, but you get good food if you want to eat in the hotel.

The staff is extremly friendly and supportive if you ask - you just have to go to them and talk to them. They helped us out with reservations, organized cars for others and we got everything we needed.

Personally I think that this hotel is much better than a few of the others on the Island and I‘d stay in the hotel again at any time before going to other places I‘ve seen here.

+ The hotel is stunning! Beautiful typical Greek style. The location is good when it comes to view and away from the city centre.
- The service in the restaurant was ok, but could be better. They only offered omelet or scrambled eggs from the kitchen on day 1, the other days we had to ask for it. There is no grocery store nearby, and it wasn’t possible to buy any snacks at the hotel. Also the hotel transport service is double the actual price…

O hotel é excelente. Atendimento muito bom. George nós atendeu muito bem. Recomendo alugar um carro e curtir as praias mais distantes. A piscina é ótima. Tem uma praia descendo algumas escadas, agios sostis, praticamente é a praia do hotel. Café da manhã muito bom com iogurte diariamente. George conseguiu transfer e aluguel de carros pra gente.
