Rhenia Hotel is truly special—a family-owned gem that has been run for generations. The people here are some of the kindest I’ve met in Mykonos, making the stay feel incredibly welcoming. The rooms are spotless, and breakfast is delicious with a great variety of options. Its location is perfect, just a short walk from the ferry, ideal if you’re planning to explore other islands. Please book this beautiful place in Mykonos! I was so happy to have found Rhenia :-) it’s in a quieter part with stunning views of the sea / Port. Beautiful gardens, friendly staff; lovely breakfast. The rooms are very clean and the balcony is truly wonderful. I got a moped and travelled around Mykonos the family were very helpful and reccomend some beautiful beaches! There is also a lovely local beach to the hotel and it’s near to the town / Little Venice (10 min moped / car) and a sea bus right outside.

If you’re looking to explore Mykonos but want something more cultural, peaceful and stunning views. This is the place. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us.

An Amazing Stay!

Words cannot express how great a stay I had. The room was fantastic and had a magnificent view. The location was in close proximity to the new port and the Sea Bus. The family runs the hotel with passion and sincerity and I was glad to have several awesome conversations with them. They are friendly and hospitable as if I was their family (or friend or neighbour). If I had a chance to come back to Mykonos, without a doubt, I will book a stay here again.

SCAM HOTEL, worst service/treatment ever!

I booked this hotel for three nights, $1500 on behalf of my girlfriend who was flying in from Barcelona at 4am. When she missed her flight and wasn’t able to reach me (as I was sleeping), she tried contacting the hotel to let them know. The next day I contacted them via email to see what their policy would be as I only needed one nights stay vs three but stated they were completely non-refundable. As I still required the room (I was checking-out of another place and needed a room on that third nights stay) and was being charged the full $1500, I let the hotel know I still required the room for one night. However the hotel refused saying my booking was deemed a “no-show” and to take this up with hotel.com. When I contacted hotels.com, all they did was contact the hotel to see if they would refund me partially or provide me with a room for the one night. The Hotel denied the hotel.com agent’s request so the agent recommended I give them a call directly for the one night’s stay, so that’s what I did... I spoke with the front desk agent and then the hotel manager. The treatment I received was appalling and completely unacceptable. The hotel manager screamed the entire duration while calling me a liar but wouldn’t let me speak or explain anything on my end. It was so bad that my friend started recording the conversation out of disbelief. As someone with a background in HR and hospitality, I highly recommend the owners invest in corporate ethics and customer service training.

The property Is very well located; within walking distance from the new port where you can take the \"Sea Bus\" to the Old Port.and within walking distance from Stefano's Beach.

Wonderful family owned hotel with sea views.

We love the Rhenia Hotel. Andreas and Alexandra, owners of this family-run hotel, could not be more welcoming. The location is just across the street from the new port. Cross the street and head up the hill, but they will pick you up at the port. From that point you can take the sea bus (water taxi) to the old port where much of the shopping and restaurants are located for only 2 euros. The boat ride is a beautiful relaxing trip on the water for 5 minutes or so. And we loved staying in the more quiet area at the Rhenia away from the crowds while still being able to get to that area quickly and easily. You can also walk there in about 15 minutes or to a really nice beach the opposite direction. We found the Rhenia by accident years ago, just stayed there for the third time and will definitely return. A must-stay hotel on your trip to Mykonos.

Amazing views from your room. You open the door and see the entire bay. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very inviting with plenty of space in the bedroom area. We spoke with the owner for a while before check in. Cool guy.

The pool area was an awesome place to hang out. Great views and quiet.

The location was away from old Town, and was in a more quiet area. It took about 20 mins to walk to old Town (on roads with no sidewalks, beware).

The cons were: The bartenders didn't know any of the drinks we tried to order so we ended up drinking beers and vodka teas. Be sure to verify your hotels.Com benefits upon check in.

This hotel is all you need if you are not a fancy person. You get a nice simple clean room with a comfortable bed, nice view and a patio. The receptionist was the most helpful we had during our entire trip. She gave us all the info about transportation and places we need to see (e.g. €2 see bus). I would stay there again for sure.

We were traveling in a group of 7 including 2 children. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, they treated us like family. They were extremely accommodating! Our children felt safe to wonder the property looking for bugs and smelling the wonderful herbs growing by the pool. With a quick walk down the hill, you can grab groceries at the market, catch a ferry or a bus into town, or be at the local port.

I found the property to be clean but needs updating. We had terrible water pressure for our shower and our faucet wiggled every time we used it! The views were pretty but the breakfast was mediocre at best! There was also a wire that hung out of the bathroom tile. No attention to details at all :( Overall very disappointed with our stay here!

You will feel like family staying here

This hotel gets 5 stars. It is conveniently located (5 min walk from the port) with spectacular views, an amazing pool and delicious breakfast. But the 5 star rating primarily comes from the hospitality of its owners. The family that owns/operates this hotel makes you feel like family while you’re staying there. If you walk there from the port you will encounter a very steep hill but once you get to the top you won’t lift a finger after you check in. They carried our bags to and from the room. My friend that I was staying there with was miserably ill and in pain from an ear infection/sinusitis and they even drove her to the ER/pharmacy themselves. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us.

We loved our stay at this hotel. It is very clean, the staff very friendly and everything is better than shown in the pictures. It is also a great place to stay if you want to avoid the noise from the town but still be very close to it. I would not recommend to walk to Downtown Mykonos since its a bit far a way and there are no sidewalks on the road. In general very happy about this hotel though.

The taxis are really expensive and is too complicated to return to the hotel and the hotel does not have a shuttle service like other hotels does.

My stay was my worst nightmare

I haven’t had a more haunting hotel experience in my life!
The owner is the most impolite person you’ll ever meet. We requested a late checkout at the reception which they agreed for, later the owner barges up to my room, refuses of any such request made, accuses me of lying and threatens to call the police if I don’t checkout in next 10 mins!!
Imagine going for a holiday in greece and this happening to you!!
Please guys avoid this place at all costs!

Pleasant Stay and Nice Hotel

We stayed there for 2 nights at earlier of October. The hotel is simple, clean and friendly - the staff are very knowledgeable when it comes to answering queries about Mykonos. The rooms are typically Greek, nothing pretentious, simple furnishings with excellent beds, linen and a nice arrangement of toiletries. A nice compact pool area with stunning views. The room has a TV with only one English speaking channel CNBC unfortunately. If you have I-phone or Samsung 8 , you may have difficulty to connect to their free WIFI.

The hotel is closed to the harbour, only 3 minutes driving. The center of town was 7 minutes away by sea taxi, but a steep climb from the sea taxi harbour to the hotel. If you are unfit, infirm or have a disability you will struggle, please bare this in mind when you book this hotel. Apart from this, the Rhenia hotel is a very good hotel and is great value for money, staff are good.

The hotel was really nice. Great view from room, pool area and breakfast area. Very good breakfast, close to two very good restaurants and convenient to the new port and sea taxi to downtown port. This hotel is in a great location for anyone coming in on one of the ferries from the other islands or waiting to catch a ferry. It's literally walking distance away and its hillside location gives a nice view over the port. There is also a bike/car rental at the bottom of the hill, just a couple minutes' walk.

This is a lovely hotel and the owners can not do enough for you.
The rooms are very nice and cleaned every day with clean towels even on a Sunday which surprised us.
There was plenty of choice for a small hotel buffet breakfast and quickly replenished when things where getting low.
I would recommend a seaview room as the view is stunning.

The lobby and pool area was very nice and resort like. Nice spread at complimentary breakfast. Breakfast room had great view of the ocean / bay. Our room was a little like an out-house ... very basic. Pathway to our rooms was dirt and unpaved. We had bugs crawling into our room. Lots of steps (no elevator) ... so if you have mobility issue, this might pose a problem. Down the hill from the hotel is the bus stop and water ferry stop, so location is very convenient. Not much to do around the immediate area, so you need to hop on the bus or water ferry and go to Mykonos Town or other parts of the island.

We stayed at the Rhenia for a week and it was excellent in so many respects. The room was typically Greek but had an excellent shower and bed. There was also a spacious patio/balcony. The room also had a fridge and little mosquito machine (a nice touch). We asked for a kettle and got one the same day! Breakfast was again typically Greek and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negatives would be the location (there's not much in Tourlos (other than one Taverna and a supermarket). However you can get the regular Sea Bus into Mykonos Town (10 mins journey) or the bus into Agios Stefanos (a nice beach - 5 mins journey). There is a very short but also very steep hill to get to the hotel.

We loved staying in the Rhenia. It was tucked into the hill over Tourlos port with a beautiful view of Mykonos town. It was nice to be away from the touristy Mykonos town, and easy to get there from the sea bus for 2€. They offer airport pick-up; it is a 3 minute walk to the port where all ferries board; good breakfast, great service. You can rent ATVs at the bottom of the hill for 40€ a day, and Matthews tavern is a great place to eat! The only downside is the hill up to the hotel, it's a very steep walk!

Idyllic hotel with beautiful view

This was a fantastic hotel with beautiful views, suitably away from the masses, but with great transport links that got you to the town in 15 mins and anywhere else you want to go relatively quickly.
The staff were very helpful, friendly and personable and went above and beyond what your average hotel would do to help (in the event of missing baggage in my case).
The facilities were clean and made for relaxing.
I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful time and a wonderful view

We enjoyed the hotel a good bit. Our original reservations were switched to this hotel when availability in the first hotel changed and we were glad! The view here is awesome from all of the rooms and pool. Breakfast was good and the staff was very accommodating. The paperwork for transferring was messed up and they just shrugged and said, \"We'll figure it out\". The natural Greek hospital was very evident; the guest is a lot more important than immediately straightening out any fouled-up documentation! We would definitely go back.

Hotel Over-looking Harbour

We arrived at the old port by ferry from Santorini during a heavy rainstorm. One call to the hotel and they sent a shuttle to pick our family of 6 up. Unbeknownst to us, this was the hotel's last night open of the 2015 season, so they were in shut-down mode, with very few guests. Suspect the hotel would present better in-season. While we were finishing breakfast, the manager advised us that all ferries had been cancelled. She was very helpful in assisting us to quickly book flights to Athens so we didn't miss our flight home the next morning.

Very pleasant and a nice view of the new port, friendly staff, but I couldn't call it luxury, superior room was clean but basic with painted concrete floor.
Breakfast- no shortage of food but limited choice and exactly the same every day.
Paid half as much for far better accommodation on other islands so I guess Mykonos is just expensive.

Fantastic hotel! Alexandria and her husband were very lovely and provided us with some great tips to see where the locals hang out. The bartender George was absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a private sitting area outside. The pool was small but with a great view and plenty of comfortable seating. We will absolutely stay there the next time we are on the island.

Disappointing given how much I'd paid

Arrived to find a broken rusty cot in the room for our 1 year old son. The staff replaced it after I complained, but only with another rusty cot out of the 1970s, with an outdated and dangerous mechanism which can chop off little ones fingers. We put it in the wardrobe and our son slept in the bed with us instead.

The room was also up multiple flights of stairs - given they knew we had a 1 year old not the most practical. Would not recommend this place if you have a child under 5 due to the steps and the poor cots.

The breakfast was terrible - watered down coffee and not much selection.

The staff were friendly though, and brought us a couple of beers as they could see our disappointment with the cots which was nice.

Family-run hotel with friendly, helpful staff and stunning views overlooking the harbour. Perfect for couples (or anyone else) looking for a peaceful, relaxed holiday away from Mykonos's party scene. Great location in quiet area, yet only 15 minutes away from Mykonos town by Seabus. Nice, clean rooms, with fantastic views if you get one with a terrace.

Perfect place to stay on Mykonos Island. Only a few minutes from the hearth of the city of Mykonos and such a nice view over the new port. A family-owned hotel where they will do all the necessary to help and please you. We loved the place and the personel.

Great family run Hotel in a quite area

Hotel is in a quite area on a hill, close to the New Port (only 5 minutes STEEP walk). Great family run hotel with great view of the sea/port/cruise ships. You can take a water taxi to go to the old port/town which takes about 10 minutes. Hotel is clean and serves good breakfast. The family which runs the hotel is very helpful and offered a free ride to the new port for catching a ferry for our next destination.

Receptionist was rude and bad attitude

The lady at the front desk was very rude. The two gentleman working there niko and George were lovely and helpful. Would not go back due yo the lady and her attitude. Shower water went everywhere and the pillows were uncomfortable. Hotel is very far from city and wouldn't stay again

Poor wifi connection

Its far from Mykonos town, has to take the bus to the town which runs once for an hour. It was exhausting bringing our luggages up the steep slope to the hotel. The room was not as clean as expected. Wifi connection was very poor and they have done nothing about it after our complaint.

If you want a room with a view,then this is 1 4 U!

Just spent a fantastic week in Mykonos and made all the better by staying at the Rhenia hotel. A great hotel with a great view of the harbour, fab breakfast, rooms cleaned every day, nice pool with amazing view and lovely owners Alexandra and Andreas makes this a top place to stay.

Just a 2 euro boat taxi to Mykonos town and an 8 euro taxi back if you miss the last boat. Which is handy if you don't fancy walking the hill back to the hotel at the end of the night. There are some amazing restaurants in Mykonos but by far our favourite was Appaloosa which served a good mix of food with great music.

We found a the best deal on Hotels.com so you are in the right place.

Nice Quite Hotel Away from Center of Town

Nice quaint room with a smaller end bathroom. The owners/host are both very friendly and helpful. The owner dropped us, family of four with luggage off at New Port at 7am for our 7:35am ferry. I would recommend this place.

Note: It is 2km (non walkable) from center of town but it is 8 euros to go and 6 euros to come back by taxi. It is 2 Euro per person each way by sea taxi and 1.60 euro each way by bus both of which is down the steep hill. If you arrive to New Port then take taxi from port although walking distance from port there is NO place to walk except the road and then climb the hill.

Great friendly atmosphere-comfortable quiet hotel

We enjoyed a great few days at Rhenia. Everything was wonderful - friendly staff, beautiful envirioment with jasmine, greaniums, bougainvillea and rainbow-coloured lizards playing on the rocky paths.. Fantastic !!

Perfect in everyway! Everything you need!

This place is excellent - if you get in on a cruise or ferry, instead of booking a transfer.. walk out of the port.. go straight along the little exit (there is a 3 road merge) go straight and turn left around the taven at the bottem, walk up the hill to the top and ta da you're right there! The service is excellent, everything you need for breakfast and the boat taxi straight into town is right there for 2 euro only! Thank you very much I enjoyed my stay!

You'll love it

Beautiful views. Close to the port, if you arrive by ferry, as long as you don't have heavy luggage, you could walk there. The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you want something, they will help you. Very relaxed, small hotel with excellent service.
