We’ve stayed here every year during May or June as part of a family tradition for the past 15 years since the last hotel was sold to build homes. It’s in a great location Oceanside close to many restaurants, stores and places to visit. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room is clean and spacious, the grounds are kept clean. This trip the pool had what appeared to be some sort of black algae attached to the surfaces.

Everything was absolutely perfect! We went for a bachelorette party and didn’t have to call a single uber because the property has a shuttle for anywhere you might want to go. The staff was super helpful and gave us the best recommendations of where to go to eat. 10/10!

The location of the hotel is excellent, and from the outside the property looks beautiful and well maintained. Unfortunately, the experience changed completely once we entered the room. The rooms and bathrooms felt outdated and poorly maintained, more like a 2-star hotel than what you would expect for the price being charged. In my opinion, it is not worth the money.
Another disappointment was that the hotel does not have its own restaurant, so guests must go to the neighboring Amara Cay Resort for breakfast. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty, yet the service was still very poor. The staff was rude, forgot parts of our order, and later claimed we had never ordered a dessert. One of the waiters even raised his voice at me, which was completely unacceptable and very unprofessional.
To make matters worse, the dessert eventually arrived packed in a paper bag and plastic container without anyone asking whether we wanted it to go or preferred to eat it at the table.
I have never experienced such disrespectful service, especially in a restaurant associated with a resort. Because of the poor condition of the rooms and the unacceptable customer service, I would not return and cannot recommend this property until management addresses these issues and improves staff professionalism.

The big drawback is the weather, specifically the high humidity. The property was well maintained and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It would have been nice if they had an included breakfast buffet like some other places in the country. The sargassum was horrible but they did try to clear it every day. They do say they are pet friendly and I did see 1 dog there.They do have bicycles, kayaks (single and double), and SUP boards for use.

The staff was friendly, but the site was not maintained well. We stayed in a Queen suite which was dated and well worn. The shower handle kept falling off. We also stayed in the Villa which was in much better condition that the Queen Suite. My biggest pet peeve was that the garbage cans were overflowing on site and looked terrible. One trash can near our villa was overflowing when we left in the morning and still there when we returned at dinner time. The only place to swim at this site is the pool. The pool was in good shape. The pool bar was great with a friendly bartender.

This was a big disappointment. Apt for 8 with no kitchen, stove or oven where are you supposed to cook if you go with kids / teenagers? No restaurant in the property, no convenience store , no vending machines. We had to drive to get some milk or even water. No guest wants to have to make the day more difficult when it’s time to eat right? Staff is not really helpful sitting the FD like they’re on break they don’t seem to be worried about guests too much … beach access is non existent … next to the pier you can get in the water but if you want to have some keys beach access you’ll need to drive to three waters resort… THATS A BEACH . We found ants all over the copy tee so so t even think about leaving anything open you’ll have an infestation 10 min later …. At night there’s no bar, no music, no action, activity or NADA. Totally quiet and almost dark, it would be a good suggestion to have something to gather ppl , sell some drinks and they would probably make a lot of money . No breakfast included they give you free coffee and they sell some boxes wth sausages eggs and croissants for around $15 which is pretty much the price of a regular breakfast anywhere , but they give it in a box so you take it to go…. Terrible idea ! Definitely not what we expected . We love the keys but if you’re looking for relaxation and some entertainment this is not the place . Super overvalued .

It’s definitely not a five star hotel but the staff is incredibly helpful . the floor was not clean saw a few hairs in the bathroom that were not mine. Coffee maker broke down. They brought me another one and when I complained about that one there was silence. But the staff is incredibly nice and always willing to help.

La Siesta has so much potential. Beautiful grounds, spacious rooms, pool and views. The front counter staff and bike staff were very nice.
Unfortunately they don’t clean up the trash around the compound. To either side of our entrance was trash that had been there before us and Is probably still there. Our room had black sharpie all over the floors. There were no cups, plates, silverware… to use with the small kitchen. The couch and drapes were dirty. The freezer was a block of ice. Need more hangers in the closet. The bicycles, kayaks were not available for use until 9:30am and had to be back by 4pm (hottest part of a Florida day). The snack shack/bar at the pool opened late and closed early. Our room was cleaned once in six days.
For the cost I shouldn’t be typing any of this.

Room was nice with balcony but not what I expected. Thought I was booking the room that was in the picture. All the pictures of my room at time of reservation appeared like the photos shown on the site, but this was not in fact the room we received. Overall the property is pretty nice with bikes, kayaks and paddleboards available at no extra charge. There was a free shuttle to the sister resorts Amara Cay and Three Waters Resorts. We went to the Three Waters Resort and this resort was a bit nicer than La Siesta and the staff there was amazing. The staff a La Siesta, not so much often hard to find, even at the pool bar and beach/kayak area.

La Siesta Resorts is landscaped beautifully. Easy check in process (although other people seemed to be having issues with their reservations). The ocean view 2-Queen bed room had an exceptional view of both the ocean and the pool. It was more spacious than I expected with a separate living area and great balcony.
I wish more attention was paid to the maintenance of the room. Reminded me of some old NJ shore motels. There were several broken outlet covers, water/moisture damage to the bathroom vanity and \"kitchen\" cabinets. Beat up shower/tub. Slow draining \"kitchen\" sink. Not enough space to hang towels. no sink plug to hand wash anything. We barely saw any staff. Had to ask for cleaning services.
Pool is nice, especially for young kids (gradual walk in area), but was bath water warm- not refreshing on a hot day. Took us awhile to figure out where to get towels (outside the pool area). Ocean swim area was more natural- probably better for fishing than swimming. Also, there is no restaurant at this resort- you can get food and drinks at the snack bar, but no table service or servers.
I loved taking the water shuttle to the other associated resorts- wish it ran longer, but it is limited by the tides. The pool at Three waters required the room key bracelet to access- so we couldn't get in, which was disappointing.

I’m not sure I would ever stay at La siesta again. It has potential to be a good resort but the lack of process, management, communication and hospitality makes me think that it won’t ever be (unless a new management company takes over). This will also make me steer clear of their sister resorts, Amara Cay and Three waters.
Room issues aren’t taken care of (like broken floor boards, broken shower valves, broken fridges, missing curtains) - resort issues aren’t taken care of (broken pool drains around the entire pool, very dirty pool, unkept beach area) and lack of service and direction for guests (no direction on pool towels, not refilling pool towels when you finally find them, no clarity on where to put used pool towels which leads to piles of used towels everywhere, trash being left around the pool).
The paying customer is ignored! This is my biggest complaint. When trying to check in our room wasn’t ready, that’s fine - front desk said they would call when it was ready. Did they call? Nope. I had to guess that it was enough time and to my shock, it was ready without the phone call. Next my husband went to the office to get room maintenance to come to our room (missing curtains in bedroom and non-functioning fridge). The front desk said maintenance would be to our room in a few minutes. 2 hours later no one! My husband had to return to the front desk to urge them to send a maintenance person. 20 min later he came and zip tied blanket as a curtain and no backup fridges

The paying customer is ignored! This is my biggest complaint. When trying to check in our room wasn’t ready, that’s fine - front desk said they would call when it was ready. Did they call? Nope. I had to guess that it was enough time and to my shock, it was ready without the phone call. Next my husband went to the office to get room maintenance to come to our room (missing curtains in bedroom and non-functioning fridge). The front desk said maintenance would be to our room in a few minutes. 2 hours later no one! My husband had to return to the front desk to urge them to send a maintenance person. 20 min later he came and zip tied blanket as a curtain and no backup fridges

We stayed in the green cottage (didn't take photos of inside). Location is fabulous and sunrises are beautiful. Room was clean upon arrival. However, it did not look as nice as the website. Bathroom was very small. Little counter top space and no tub (we didn't care about that). Bedroom smaller too. We stayed four nights and elected to not have our room cleaned on one day. However, it was not cleaned on the other days even though staff said it was on the list. The Tiki Bar does not serve alcohol. We had to order our drinks at the sister resort, Amara Cay and have them delivered. Not sure if we missed that on the website, but definitely disappointed. Enjoyed drinks and apps at the Amara Cay Tiki Bar.

The best I can say is that it was quiet, calm, and relaxing. Rooms were very good. Some showed sign of work - pencil marks from measuring for mirrors/paintings, and with beds right under a window that opened into the external hallway was a little noisy. Limited food options, no full bar (beer and wine only). The free use of kayaks and paddle boards was a plus.

The studio oceanview room had an amazing view. The room felt old and out dated with alot of wear, cracked floors and missing closet doors. I broke my toe on the door stop they left on the floor for the missing door to close against. I have to remove the screws from the floor myself so no one else got injured in it. The mattress in the pull out couch is not very comfortable as the springs are shot and poke out. We did not receive our breakfast we ordered ahead of time on the app. We had to ask for the fruit and cheese platter as it did not get delivered either. Not sure where the lack of communication happened as I also let the staff know and had to go ask again for them.

I received NONE of those. Even called three times to have our room cleans and all they did was drop off towels. I even went into the lobby to ask again because it was nearly 5pm and they hadn’t come. The two ladies in the lobby were clearly annoyed and one asked the said to the other ‘What do they want?’ As though I was bothering them.
4. I was told the boat between resorts runs all day and after waiting 40 mins, I asked the folks working at the Kayak rental for an arrival time. They assured me it was coming soon and we waited another 20 mins. I then called the other resort who told me the boat was not running anymore.

THIS HOTEL IS FILTHY, do not book here! Expedia represents the hotel as accessible but unit has 14 steep stairs. Fridge is broken and dented, bathroom faucets only the hot handle worked, cold was turned off at the water source because it was broken, bathroom sinks were both clogged, dirt and grime everywhere, walls were dirty, floors scratched, vents were black, windows dirty on the outside. Save yourself the 1200 USD/night and go someplace else.
