We didn’t even stay and they won’t refund us! Pictures online is not what it looks like in person!! Thought it was all inside but when we got there doors to the hotel were outside by the parking lot. This is a motel not a hotel. There is a different and they shouldn’t lie on the website

I will never ever stay here again and if your smart you wont either...we booked through expedia for feb 12-15...chose to pay apon arrival at the hotel front desk...paid at the front desk when we arrived 233.27...we had a family emergency and had to leave Saturday morning...they did not refund us for the day we did not stay and they also charged my husbands card an additional 80.67...i called and they gave me such a hard time saying we only paid 157.34 at the front desk when we have bank statments and recites proving we paid the full 233.27 on Thursday the 12th when we arrived...i dont understand how they have the right to just charge my husband's card with no authorization..kept saying id have to get ahold of expedia when in reality our bank statement says the charges came strait from the luxor inn...not to mention every time we left the room and returned our keys did not work..super loud and noise...i do not recommend this hotel to any one...it totally put a damper on our valetines day weekend get away

They have sub-par contractors renovating the property and you can tell by the quality of the work. Broken mirror, peeling wallpaper, hung door to low that scrapes the floor and to close cause it scratches the wall, holes behind the bed with wire and wire connectors exposed, ambient lighting laying in top of bed frame not hooked up.

first they advertised free breakfast, but when asked they said this has stopped temporarily due to construction, they should not had false advertise !!!
I had an alternative choise for hotel&lodging , regret choosing this over that.

second there no elevator, I had a child, they gave me 2and floor room, when asked receptionist just mentioned no elevator, didn't even try finding alternatives solutions such as moving to 1st floor room so I do not have to carry luggage, baby and stroller

thirds, some light fixtures and telephone was not wired.... this is disappointing, before getting room ready they should check and make aire.

The room was immaculate and tastefully appointed. The bed and linens were clean and comfortable. The shower and faucets worked flawlessly. The Luxor Inn and Suites was an impressive overachiever for a modest establishment in a remote location. The room overlooked a wide open parking lot that bore some late-night-arrival noise, but overall, this was a pleasant stay that I might repeat for my return trip.

The room wound up being acceptable so we stayed the one night we booked but were unaware that the older property was undergoing extensive renovations when we booked. I think the property will be fine once the reno is done and all construction crews and mess gone. Didn't use the pool area but it appeared to be neat and clean. The room itself was clean and somewhat freshly renovated. The ceiling of our room has had some water damage previously, the bathroom was designed (I guess) for wheelchair so odd - no shelf space but nice big new sink. Sadly installer left cracked mirror above it. (The mirror is a touch light surface and from the faucet upwards near the touch circle was a long crack. Just pointing out since newly reno'd) Shower is the smallest walk-in I've ever experienced and shower head attached to a plastic holder that kept falling/slipping apart so no way to contain spray or move around within curtain. However, the floors are new faux wood tiles throughout, nice touch and easy cleaning I guess. It was clean, just had old hotel room feels amid some nice new things. Bed was average comfort, slept OK. TV reception about what to be expected in rural WV...not an issue for us. The worst part was the initial drive up seeing the strip motel side of the property completely torn up for reno and workers in and out. When we went to dinner, we had to walk through cloud of cigarette smoke from girl on stairwell, one above on balcony and the manager outside the laundry room beside us

Front door handle didn’t work well and had to almost kick in the door. The bathroom door handle trapped you inside the bathroom, needed to be opened from the outside. Mold in the bathroom near the shower. Could hear every step the people above us took amongst other activities. Ever staying here again

This is an old Motel that is being renovated into an upscale property. There was a rain shower head, an incredible LED mirror, a wireless phone charger. However, at check-in, I was required to sign off on at least 5 warnings regarding possible infractions that I would have to pay for. That felt a little extreme, nigardly and unwelcoming. However, when we found a minimum amount of towels in our room and I went to the desk to ask for two more hand towels since I had mopped up a coffee spill with the only hand towel there, I was told there was one hand towel allotted per room .also, if the towel was stained I would be charged for it. Of course I had washed out the coffee immediately and simply needed 2 clean and dry hand towels, which they gave me, after I mentioned that I read reviews and I also write reviews. The desk clerk was snippy. My other issue was with the bedding. The bed was provided with a top sheet and then a very heavy comforter and duvet. The top sheet was not enough to keep warm, and the duvet was so terribly heavy that the air conditioning would have been running all night to stay cool enough to use it. I wish they had provided the option of a light blanket, because I did not sleep well.

The property was all newly renovated and modern and clean. We did find that the shower was a bit backwards (the hot water came out of the cold setting and visa versa). Also the shower door was missing an important stop so the glass hits the screw instead of the stop to prevent the door from breaking (we had this experience at another hotel and the glass completely shattered). We mentioned the problem with the shower door to one of the housekeepers but he was not interested. We suggest this problem be fixed for future guests in room 251.

Not worth the price

Woman at the front desk was great. Forget her name, but she was very kind and friendly and informative. No complaints about her at all. She was great.

The room itself was kind of shabby. The carpets on the stairs and walkway to the room were pretty dirty, and there were a lot of people smoking cigarettes right in front of the room so it smelled like smoke a lot.

The sheets on the bed were very clean, and the mattress was firm and comfortable, but the sofa was very dirty, and the fixtures in the shower were literally falling apart.

If I were only paying $80, then I would’ve expected that, but for $134 a night it was very overpriced and certainly was not what I would expect for a place that had a 9.0 review. Not sure who was reviewing the place previously, but definitely not up to my expectations.

Would never stay there again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I expected it to be very basic, based on the price. However, I found it to have some nice touches--modern, stylish decor; a pool, free snacks in the lobby. The staff was VERY polite and helpful. The only hiccup was the staff skipped my room on the scheduled cleaning day. (Wyndham has instituted a \"only in Wednesdays\" cleaning policy for stays longer than 3 nights. It was an honest mistake, and I didn't care, but it did happen. Overall, very pleased-- would stay there again!

My mother & I were getting away.

The shade over the window let all of the light from parking lot in. The insulation was inadequate because I could hear motorcycles and people talking outside my room late & 1st thing in the morning. I lost my son last year in a motorcycle accident & his 25th birthday would have been 7/10/25. It was upsetting to be able to hear them laughing about crashing and laying their bikes down.

The room was nice, but the windows do not keep any outside noise out. The outside siding is hanging off and looks terrible. The rooms appear to have fresh paint and the bathrooms were fine, but the caulk should have been redone. They are in the process of finishing the property, so hopefully they replace the old wood frame windows. The hvac also needs updating. They work fine but are older and very loud.

Property still being remodeled, but that didn't affect our room. Room was Clean, and Comfortable. No breakfast as listed in the Expedia description. Was charged by both Expedia, as I pre-paid for the room, and unfortunately charged more than once at two different rates by the property instead of marking my stay as pre-paid through Expedia. I also verified with the staff that is wasn't just the incidental charge authorization and it is an additional room charge due to check in complications. Was told I needed to wait 3-5 working days however I would think it could happen sooner considering ever other charge they applied to verify my card was active fell off as expected. We will see if the charges get corrected or if I have to file with my bank as a fraudulent and/or duplicate charge.
