There were cigarette ashes in the bathroom sink. We called the front desk so we didn’t get blamed. We were asked “can you just wash them down the drain”. We did so but the room smelled like smoke. The room had been cleaned so it had to be the folks cleaning the rooms.

Parking was easy and the hotel had ample entrances around the building providing easy access for unloading and loading personal luggage and belongings. I loved that I could contact and converse with the front desk personnel via text messaging. Mattresses were extra firm, but some people prefer them. (I'm not one of those people. Lol.) Overall, I recommend this hotel!!

Nice Hampton; Elkins is an OK town

Nice hotel. We paid for a mountainside room. Nice view; especially in the evening, saw a gorgeous sunset. Nice looking modern style to the room, pretty clean, loved the walk in shower. Never been a big fan of Hampton Inn beds; always seem to wake up with a sore neck and back. They do have a reliably good breakfast, though.
One suggestion: Elkins does not have many good dinner options, especially late; make sure you do your research and go out early enough.

I have stayed at Hampton Inn Elkins several times when visiting the area. The rooms are dependably clean, and the breakfast (included in the room rate) is usually excellent with a variety of dishes. The staff are always very helpful. One thing I did notice this time was that the mattress in my room was quite saggy in the middle. I think that either the mattress or the bedsprings need to be replaced.

The Hampton needs better mattresses in the King rooms. Also our room had trash not emptied in it, blinds were terrible. Bathroom in lobby was not clean. Forcthe price it should have unbroken box springs abd goid nattresses. Pillows were terrible.

Nice and enjoyable stay

The front desk staff Colin and (Kelsey?) Were very nice and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. We ended up extending our stay by a day due to a snowstorm. The hotel was nice, clean and enjoyable.

The room, although very nice, was not the best night sleep. The beds are terrible and the positioning of the bad in the room has you heat and air blowing right in your face. If you want to watch TV in bed it is at a hard angle. The location is on top of a hill with continuous wind. Very nice and clean but will not return.

the hotel does not have designated pet rooms so bedding smelled like wet dog
when brought to attention of morning staff. they acted as though it was no problem an said they publish this info all over. which was not true
the canopy that you pull under to check in. looks as though it is ready to fall off the building.
