Very nice experience. We stayed in one the cabanas so we had a very cute porch to sit on at night which added to the experience. The hotel grounds were amazing with a little western town atmosphere. We also had dinner and breakfast in the restaurants on the property. Great meals and at a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This place is great for a few nights to stop while traveling. It felt like a cute little resort. i wouldn’t recommend parking your RV there though because if you plan on sleeping inside, there is no plug in and the bathrooms are far to walk from in the dark. The one male staff was a bit rude as well and he didn’t make me feel welcomed. Other than that, it was great!

Great central location to all of the “must sees” of Death Valley. We enjoyed the huge swimming pool and the grounds. Another plus was the EV chargers. Suggestion: if you are booking in the the rooms 600-900, select 2nd story as the bottom floor “patios” are not very private.

Stayed for two nights with family of four (2 adults, 2 teens). We had a room on towards the back of the property, on the second floor (didn’t see elevators, we went up the stairs outside the building). Overall it was a good stay for the location and options available, nothing fancy but more comfortable than camping. The room itself was a bit tight for four but manageable and the decor is dated but we didn’t mind too much. This was the only place we got WiFi so the kids liked that. The property itself is very convenient with 2-3 onsite dining options, coffee, ice cream and gift shops. There was a pool that looked quite busy at night, tennis courts and horse stables. I think the sister property may be nicer but this was fine for a few nights.

Beautiful resort, location is awesome. Staying inside the park made it so convenient. We had a situation at the Saloon, our meal slip was lost in the kitchen and we waited over 2 hours for our food. The staff comped our entire meal for the inconvenience-it was delicious once it arrived! That was our only complaint.

Lots of towels and bed linens were comfortable. The shopping at the 2 gift shop was fun and the dinner at the saloon
Was good. It teally is a beautiful oasis in the desert. And the old west yard with the stagecoaches and wagon train equipment was very interesting to us

Great location. Older property with several restaurants, ice cream parlor and general store. Swimming pool, tennis and corn hole, with golf course nearby. Rooms were comfortably sized but were a bit dated. No elevators so second floor challenging if you are bringing coolers or heavy luggage.

Large property and services campers and mostly families. Convenient to many Death Valley sites. Stars three nights. Two nights would have been sufficient but one day allowed for reset and next stop. Beautiful national park, area seemed safe. The adjacent in. Is double the price but worth a decent cocktail and change of scenery. Traveled in April and conditions were perfect.

Don’t bother,
The property is old tired and smelly.
I asked for a room change as my room smelt of stale urine.
Was eventually offered another but that was just the same.
There isn’t any soundproofing so you can hear everything.
Not a nice place to stay, if there had been anywhere else nearby we would have left
The restaurant menu was extensive but what you got wasn’t what you expected. Roast chicken was a small quarter of fried chicken..
They know you are pretty much a captive audience, so really don’t have to bother that much

This resort hotel has it all. From a nice pool and lawn area with plenty of activities like pickleball, cornhole, tennis etc. to a variety of dining options. Kids will love it. Just be aware that EVERYTHING is priced at a premium. The 4 star resort pricing is all based on proximity within the park vs the facilities offered. It's worth bringing your own snacks and food otherwise the general store items retail for double standard pricing...ie 6 dollar redbull.

Great little cottage near all the major tourist attractions. Many amenities like 2 restaurants, one doubles as an ice cream shop, general store a tavern. I only wich they had a place to cook outdoors with a camping stove. In the room is a microwave and small fridge.

If you are headed to Death Valley and won't be camping - staying inside the park. The Ranch at Death Valley is perfect situated for easy access to some of the must sees in the Park including Zabriskie Point, Badwater, Mesquite Flats and more.

Fantastic location, comfortable room and bed, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and large and popular pool. Limited food options - the Last Kind Words Saloon had the best food but hard to get into, the Wild Rose Tavern had a very limited menu but great service, and the buffet food was decidedly mixed. Some superficial appearance issues like on-site construction and weary carpets.

We expected more for the price. The staff at registration wasn’t overly welcome or friendly. Overflowing garbage cans throughout the property. The staff at the market were friendly as was the gentleman working the dinner buffet. The outside activities were fun and plenty full. But, Wouldn’t stay there again.

The grounds were beautiful and staying in the national park is always a plus. The views from the hotel are amazingly and you can easily walk to the Furnace Creek Visitor Center. My kids loved the pool and the ice cream shop. There are also shuffle board, corn hole, tennis and basket ball courts on the grounds that are all updated. That said there was a lot of construction on site having to do with sewer lines, especailly around our room that we were not told about ahead of time. Over all the hotel room was dated with old carpet. It looks like the whole place is getting a face lift and will be updated in the near future. The wifi was out for part of our stay for a known down time based on the provider. The hotel did let us know about it ahead of time. Over all I loved the location, but was disappointed in how dated our room was. I would try staying here again after renovations.

Wi Fi good. Nice size cottage with seating area on porch. Appreciate having a pool, museum, refrigerator, microwave, and especially a washer-dryer-a real selling point for me.

Also, having the General Store was a real plus, also it was nice to have shops, and a cute ice cream parlor. Lines were a bit long at the ice cream parlor. It was restricting to have to place reservations for restaurants.

Unclear how to get room serviced. Fresh towels were brought upon request; dirty ones remained in room. Sofa bed was tidied. King bed was not. Trash remained in room, and ants came. Had to ask for cleaning.

Overall really appreciated the location and amenities. Definitely would stay here again.

My husband will not stay at a hotel if it does not have a fitness center. The fitness center was listed under amenities offered. My husband was denied access to the fitness center and we were still charged the resort fee.

Cottage inside was perfect - microwave, fridge, washer and dryer - comfortable bed, good shower. Front porch with seating shared with neighbouring cottage.

Saloon restaurant gets very busy and is expensive so I would recommend making reservations or bringing something you can microwave.

Ice cream parlour is very popular and does not serve the banana split they show a photo of on the website but the ice cream is delicious and flavours sell out quickly.

This time I stayed in a standard double queen bed room. It was clean (except for the hair in the shower) but old and tired. It is in need of updating and refurbishing. IF I return I will only stay in one of the cottages which was wonderful. Never again will I stay in a room like this double queen.

We were given a very expensive room with a patio that faced a construction zone. Mounds of dirt and trenches just next to the patio. Yellow caution tape was at eye level on our patio. The patio, windows and furniture were so dirty we had to have housekeeping come and clean before we could use the patio. Even so, the patio itself was so dusty you needed shoes to walk on it. In addition, we found the food and service in the resort’s restaurants mediocre and overpriced.

Nice hotel to visit. Restaurants are mostly closing very early (8 PM). Internet speed was good with free wifi. Rooms can be improved, but good overall. Especially with the price you are paying. (A bit over priced)
I would say it was good, the way that I will go back to this hotel if I decide to visit Death Valley again.

For the EV chargers, many of them are not working. For the ones that are working, non EV cars parked in the designated spots blocking access for ev cars to charge. The room cleanliness was sub par, with curtains and lampshade tattered. The buffet was overpriced and terrible. There was NO turn down service offered AT ALL for the entire duration of the stay (3 nights), hence no fresh towels, no need making, no coffee replenished. The shower doesn't have a door and as a result, the water sprayed all over the bathroom floor causing fall hazard.

Nice property. Hotel staff seemed overwhelmed. One front desk person was very rude. The other two were kind and helpful. Room wasn’t ready at check in and when we did get in the cleaning supplies were outside the room, it smelled like someone had just used the bathroom when we entered, and there was a smushed fly stuck on the wall. (Kinda gross)

They really need to do some updating — it was my second time here and in 2 years it just got more beat up looking and more crowded. They are also charging way way more and at $400 a night I expect a clean carpet and some more folks working at the ice cream parlor. I felt bad seeing others with small kids stand in long lines.

Room was clean and sufficient except we couldn’t use our patio because of construction. It was very dirty. The eating options were severely lacking. Not enough places to eat. And restaurant hours were lacking. I don’t know how they handle it when the hotel if full. Also, the restaurants are far away from the rooms and after dark there are no lights to guide you safely back to your room.

The breakfast buffet (only breakfast available) was horrible. We paid $40.00 and could NOT eat anything cooked by the resort. We ate fruit and boxed cereal and toast.
Very old and dirty rooms. The bathroom was filthy, mold and rust on the ceiling, light switches missing and rotting wood on the door and door jamb. The room had poor lighting and very old pillows and mattresses. Not enough parking for the guests.

The lodging cottages were fantastic. However the management of the overall facility was seriously lacking continuity. At checking in we were informed of all eating facilities on site but not told that reservations were required to the restaurant and the main family friendly dining area (the Buffet ) was not open. When we inquired at the front desk about the buffet they had no idea that it was closed so also have to wonder if they knew that a reservation was required for the main restaurant. So showing up at 5:30 to eat and the buffet is closed and they had no more reservations available at the restaurant (you could come back at 7:30 and see if anything might be available-no wait list etc. just first come first serve) it made the eating choices quite slim. It actually overwhelmed the last eating place on premises to the point that the food and service were compromised. Not really any other choice but to tough it out -accept it-and make it work. We Just expected more from this top notch rated facility. The staff was courteous and professional just not informed about what was going on. They were overwhelmed and did the best they could.

The Ranch at Death Valley is in the Park which makes it a very convenient location. It has a pool and basketball, tennis and pickleball courts. It also has a small museum which was interesting.

There is only one resrtaurant at the Ranch so we ate there four nights in a row. The food was good but became repetitive.

We stayed in the 900 building. It smelled awful. The whole building smelled like sewage, including our room. It was so strong. The air conditioner also couldn't cool the room enough in the heat. The cold water wasn't really cold. Our patio looked out onto caution tape. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The staff were nice and the beds were comfortable, but the place needs so much to make it acceptable.

You can’t beat the location for exploring Death Valley. If you can book one of the cottages, I would highly recommend. Our friends stayed in a cottage but we were in a room in building 600. The room was adequate, if dated, but the biggest issue we had was all of the construction work going on a few feet from our patio. We were gone most of the day so it didn’t bother us, but there was a deep ditch that seemed unsafe for families with little kids.
The food options are somewhat limited, but that seems to be an issue at all the national parks.

They don’t allow guests to set the room temperature below 74°F (and 80°F for employees). I understand this is a hot area and that the AC units may struggle, but this limitation should be clearly disclosed to customers upfront, especially given their high prices.

What was most frustrating was the lack of transparency. I called reception twice and, instead of explaining the “corporate” temperature cap, they said they would send maintenance to check the issue. I had specifically asked why the thermostat wouldn’t go below 74°F. In other words, they chose to go around the question rather than respect my time with a direct answer

This hotel is located in the center of Death Valley NP. The rooms are basic hotel rooms that are clean but have not been updated recently. The beds were comfortable and room quiet. There is a nice outdoor pool and golf course nearby. There are several restaurants, ice cream shop and grocery store on property.

So make sure you’re at least 50% charge when you arrive. Other guests experiencing same issues cut their stay short because of this…

Very disappointed. Check-in staff & most of the other staff did not seem to care. Lacking positive attitude. Started in ground floor room. Most of ground floor area inundated with caterpillars & other creepy crawlers overnight. Poor reaction by staff. We did request to be moved to second floor & were accommodated. Rooms are old & need major updates. Unfortunately, there are not many motel choices in Death Valley. Tried to eat dinner in the saloon, but was told that needed reservations & to come back later & they would try to fit us in. Ask to make a reservation for later & was told they don't take same day reservations.

Lovely resort with great amenities—including Wi-Fi—in an otherwise remote area. Other National Parks often have only rustic accommodations, but all of the hotels in Death Valley—the Inn, the Ranch, and Stove Pipe Wells were nice. Lots of food options, huge pool at the Ranch, cute ice cream parlor, very close to visitors center and Zabriski point. Fyi gas in Stove Pipe Wells was cheaper, and very close to the dunes. Great stargazing at the dunes too. It’s a long drive to get the Death Valley, but totally worth it!

My friend and I stayed three nights at the Ranch! We loved staying at the Ranch! He location inside the Park is incredible, the staff very friendly and the pool was a beautiful surprise. The beds were comfy and parking was easy. The AC was very loud so if you’re a light sleeper you might wanna bring earplugs.
