Al llegar reporte que el secador de cabello estaba roto, primer inconveniente. ( aunq fue solucionado) continuó funcionando incosistentmente. El aire acondicionado no enfriaba la habitación, pasamos calor para dormir, además de eso liquiaba por la rejilla y se acumuló agua en el techo lo que caía al piso y ponía en riesgo de resbalón, se reportó y también lo arreglaron y continuó el goteo de agua al piso. Las camas pequeñas y molestas. No se si se deba a que es temporada baja pero regresé al hotel porque mi primera experiencia había sido buena, pero después de esta no creo regresar. Solo rescatar el bufet que si mantuvo la calidad.

The property is excellent from every aspects. The staffs are so helpful and they put every effort to make our family trip enjoyable. I loved the breakfast buffet as it has all options for everyone. The food choices and quantities are also exceptional. The property is on the beach and easy access to the beach. Also, it is well secured and well lighted everywhere. I loved the fact it that it is little away from the south beach which is very loud.

I don’t have much negative to say. I wish the property entry is little wider but they can’t do much about it. The lobby is wide and open. So that that covers it. Also, I wish they had more beach umbrellas as they run out fast. The swimming pool is little small and most of the time no music in the pool which some people would like.

I loved this property and I may stay here again if I come to Miami.

very horrible stay, first at arrival the entrance was too congested, there were hardly any space to get your car parked in front of the door to unload, the hotel has no parking lot, they try to make money on those, the valet guy will come quick to you and tell you to move with in five minutes, and i asked where is the self parking or hotel parking, he said its on the street and there is a parking meter, i looked at street its all full and its not safe, than they leave no option, except pay them 60 dollars per day.

when we entered the lobby, we got the keys and our room was on third floor and it smells all over the floor, my kids about to vomit, some how we got to the room, my kid went to the bathroom and there is no exhaust in the bathroom, the whole room got the bathroom smell, we have to open all the doors, the room curtains was ripped. i would not recommend that hotel to any one. we paid 500 dollars per night.

Hotel Riu is a beautiful well kept property. Very clean and rooms are spacious. We had a balcony view which was worth the up-charge. The hotel does charge an additional resort fee and they have valet parking. The pool and beach area are both top notch. A full breakfast buffet is in included. The food was mediocre in my opinion. The dinner buffet is not included and we tried it on our first night. The food was flavorful and we enjoyed. But two cans of coke were $21. Overall I give them a 3.5 stars.

Room was as described , overlooked the beach , hotel is in a convenient place for public transportation and city tour buses and trolleys .
Food in the morning was great with a wide range of variety . however the Diner menu isn't that great and their %discount they offer is just a hearsay not much different from just paying full price .
what i didnt like is the push to charge you on the room .Also the dinner menu lacked basic things like pasta , grilled chicken that are regular eats for picky eaters .
hotel is great , housekeeping is great , bathrooms were a little slippery my daughter almost broke her leg multiple times in and out of the bathroom floor . a sign to say its slippery would be great .
the outside bar by the pool the attendants seemed standoffish even the reception guys .
otherwise /overral great location but i will not be staying again .

Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. Felt like a resort. We had a partial ocean view room and the balcony view was amazing, as was the room. The staff was wonderful. However the person who assisted with checkout at the desk was not very friendly. It felt a little like he thought I didn’t belong there. I would definitely stay there again. Valet parking only, for $50 a day but the booking info said onsite parking options include a garage.

Staff failed to clean my room or change my sheets after I specifically requested it twice . Extremely frustrating.

Also, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything. Moreso, they did construction during my time there without offering a discount. Waking me and everyone else up too early.

Rude, unwelcoming staff. I never felt wanted and felt like I was bothering them every time I approached the front desk. We arrived at 12pm and politely asked for early check-in, but they refused—even when we checked again at 2:50pm, they still said “not yet” because check-in is 3pm. They promised an email when the room was ready, but we heard nothing. After waiting, I called at 3:45pm and only then did they release the room key. It honestly felt intentional—like they didn’t want to give us access until well after check-in time.

To make matters worse, the front desk claimed I checked in late, while the valet said I arrived early—clearly just to justify charging an extra $20 valet fee. We ended up paying more for parking despite leaving at noon the next day, which should fall within a 24-hour stay. According to them, everything must be strictly 3pm–3pm, completely to their convenience.

The room was dirty: socks under the bed and a shoe size sticker still on the headboard. The nighttime dessert from the snack kiosk was inedible—we threw it out. At the beach, chairs were broken, no staff was available to help, and when we finally grabbed empty chairs ourselves, someone showed up just to tell us we couldn’t sit there. Umbrellas were not allowed, unlike other nearby resorts. Breakfast was overcrowded and far from relaxing.

Overall I felt the price of the room did not match the quality. It was dirty, the bathroom fixtures didn’t always work and I was let down by the room. When checking in the front desk staff often swore which was unprofessional with children around. However the breakfast, lobby aesthetic and pool area were all lovely which made up for some of the other features.

The rooms are not really soundproof much. When someone is in the hallway you hear everything. Loud music till after 9pm. Probably not an issue if you don't have little kids. They actually played nice.
Our partial view ocean room was on such a low floor that we didn't really see anything,lol. Wasn't worth the cost of the upgrade.
Breakfast is great. The towel cards are annoyance (you constantly keep counting how many you have because if you lose it it's $10. )
Parking is $50?!?! Found cheaper one somewhere else.
Wasn't allowed to take a bowl of fruit to the room after breakfast.ok, it's a rule but I was treated like stealing a $200 lobster. Lol. They rather threw it away then let me keep it...

Beach is nice and clean. Not enough chairs and umbrellas for everyone. So be early. Staff is nice.
Pool area is nice, although the pool is not large but was enough. Kids were happy:). It's only about 4-5ft.

Not bad overall at all but would probably try a different hotel if visiting the town again.

We arrived late due flight delays and our room keys didn’t work 5 times, we had to have them re-keyed, go to the 4th floor and back again and again just for them to never work. A maintenance person came and fixed it after the fifth time. We were assured we would receive compensation for the issues but did not. We were unable to use the dinner vouchers we prepaid for due to schedule issues.

The hotel is generally OK. The half board option is certainly recommended. The parking is a pain. As a visitor, I need a few minutes to set up my sat nav before departing. Generally the spaces outside the hotel are full of rental cars awaiting collection so valets leave your car blocking the entrance. Taxi and other drivers are totally impatient when their exit is blocked. The $50 charge and tips to the valets also make it quite expensive. The hotel elevators are a disaster. Too small, too slow and not enough of them. It took us 20 minutes to get an elevator to reception with enough room for us and our bags when we checked out

Unfortunately, there was construction above our room during our five night stay. From 9-6 each day there was extremely loud jackhammering above our room which made it impossible to be there. The front desk and Expedia did nothing to resolve this. The room was fine, the staff was friendly but not helpful in resolving the issue. Others on the top floor had the same complaint. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Staff are great but the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Especially the pillows they are horrible. I had to use a towel as my pillow. Other hotels have feather pillows that are far more comfortable. It would be nice to have a choice. For this reason we won’t return. It’s too bad because everything else was nice.

The hotel was a lot more basic than we were expecting. We were disappointed with the communal area, in terms of not having a beautiful bar area for evening drinks. The bedroom was ok, but nothing special and a little clinical. In addition check in was very inefficient. All in all, nothing terrible about the hotel- but it simply adequate - lacking the \"special factor\".

The room was great value for money. We have stayed in Miami several times & paid 3 times as much in other hotels for a smaller room. The staff on the whole were helpful & polite. The breakfast was great …plenty of choice & the dining room was spotless. Hubby said coffee was fab. One downside …when we booked we specifically emailed the hotel to ensure we had a car parking space available …we were told this wouldn’t be a problem. But when we arrived around 10.00pm the hotel car park was full & the only alternatives were a car park 11 minutes away or the street. Given we had been travelling for 24 hours this was not ideal. So don’t assume because you ask you will get a parking spot. It’s a pity you can’t pre book a spot

Average hotel. Noticed few things during our stay.
- The staff outside the hotel is \"valet only\" staff. Don't expect anyone to help you with your bags.
- One day, our room was not made up. Looks like they are \"scheduled\". Not sure if they do it daily by default.
- Zero sound-proof. We heard literally everything our room neighbors said.
- We didn't rent a car but if you do, expect a front parking of just 4-5 cars. So, don't take a car with you.
- No late checkout available.

- The pool is good.

Room set up was weird. No privacy. The sinks were in the bed room and the bathroom door doesn’t actually close, just swings
We were told to go to the front desk to get a discounted coupon for the on-site restaurant. They didn’t explain that the restaurant was buffet only and that there was no dinner menu available. I ended up paying $100 at the front desk for a dinner that was nonrefundable with a minimum buffet. I felt totally conned.

I ordered additional towels. Never got them.

Valet rates are outrageous. They even charge extra $20 if you are arriving earlier than 3 pm. Such a ripoff.

The room floor was filthy, our white socks were black by the end of the day. Staff did not have warm greetings or feel like they were very interested in helping us. We had no blankets on our beds only two bed sheets, we called down for blankets and it took 45 min to receive and they were thin prison/type blankets. Overall not a good experience. Pool was nice, ocean was close.
