This is my second visit to the Sydney Waterfront Inn and Suites. This time we had the city view with a nice veranda to watch the world drift by from our upstairs vantage point. The room and amenities were excellent. The whirl pool tub was so refreshing, what a great feature!! The electric fireplace added some nice ambiance after a long day of seeing the sites. The desk staff and the housekeeping staff are a true asset to the hotel.Close to a bakery, several great restaurants and the awesome seashore it hits all the bells . We'll be back next year for our third visit and hopefully book the ocean side veranda room . I believe the daily rate to be indicative of a five star establishment. Cheers to the staff and owners !! All the best!!

It is a little older however they have gone above and beyond with adding the extras in the rooms then many hotels ie. on pillowcases it is embroidered what the pillow rates soft firm etc. what a nice little touch. Great location and lots of parking. Rates reasonable as well.

Unfortunately there were a handful of issues that I did not discover early enough in the day to address with staff, but these two were a problem for me. 1) There was no temperature control, so I had to sleep on the ground level with my patio door open. 2) There was a small piece of faeces (poop) on the front of the bathroom counter by the toilet paper. Needless to say this was not a comfortable night for me. FOH staff were not on duty yet when I left.

The cost of this hotel is too high for the current condition. The room I had in the main building was outdated and the bedding and carpet were soiled. Family was staying in the updated luxury rooms and they were ok but still not worth the price.

The property is in a good location and the views are nice but for the price the hotel is incredibly outdated and gives a feeling of uncleanliness because the surfaces are yellowing and old fashioned but not in a charming way. For the $400 I paid, I was expecting something much different. I would not stay here again.

Really nice location, I thoroughly enjoyed walking along the path, looking at the amazing sculptures. Restaurant next door, Riva, had excellent food, great service and a really talented pianist. Location close to shopping, ocean views and grocery stores for bottled water, pop, snacks. Also next door is beer / wine store and BC Liquor store. Breakfast a little disappointing with limited options which is the only reason for a 4, not a 5.

Clean rooms. Like, crisp white sheets clean. Everything was spotless. Rooms are dated but improvements have been made. It’s an older building so this is normal. The breakfast was excellent - waffles, three styles of egg, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, … just an amazing surprise! Excellent location, right on the water. Grocery store across the street, everything is steps away. Attached restaurant was also fabulous: food, service, atmosphere. We would stay here again.
