The hosts were lovely (despite us arriving late), the view was superb and it felt like a nice place to get away. We had the Jade room which is under the dining area. You can hear people walking but we were early risers so it didn't affect us. The pool was a nice bonus after spending a hot day in the Butchard Gardens.

Rae Leigh Heights is located in a quiet part of Vancouver Island which we loved, and yet is centrally located for easy travel to anywhere. We had a comfortable, clean room with an amazing view. The hosts are very friendly and helpful with lots of suggestions for things to do and places to see. The breakfasts were filling and delicious!

We stayed two nights at this beautiful location on a hill outside Victoria BC. The hosts were friendly & welcoming. The room was clean & located on the main floor with a sliding door to a large deck. From the deck was a spectacular view of Brentwood Bay: I sat outside in the morning watching eagles circling overhead. The room was comfortable & with no television so we were able to enjoy the quiet. Our breakfasts were delicious & featured locally-sourced eggs, bacon & fresh fruit. I recommend this comfortable B&B.

Beautiful view, grounds we nice, dogs were a hoot.Everything was really clean. Just know that the Jade room is on the small side but the bed is very comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. We would stay again but book a larger suite.

We loved our stay here. The only reason I rated low for "condition" is that the swimming pool was out of order. This didn't bother us because we didn't plan to swim, but if you do you should phone the owners to see if the pool is open again.

A wonderful place to visit
From our first contact until our departure we have nothing but good things to say about this bed and breakfast. The large house is situated to give you a amazing view of a large lake surrounded by big pine trees. The room we were given was large and comfortable with a great view. Down the hall there was a large room with a big TV with every channel you could ever want. They had soft drinks and snacks and even gave us small bottles of wine that was really good. The breakfast was so good we didn't even need lunch. Our hosts were great tour guides, directing us to great little restaurants and pubs. and other places like one of the worlds best gardens which was only a few miles away. The only thing that might be negative for some is that it was wonderfully rural and not easy to get to Victoria if that is the purpose of your visit. We loved the hosts and felt it was the best deal we got on our whole trip.

David and his wife really went out of their way to make this a very enjoyable visit. You drive up to a hilltop overlooking a lot of the Saanich Inlet. Our rooms had a choice of entryways, through the main door in front or our private door into the room alongside our private patio for taking in the view. The room was spacious, clean and had it's own attached bath. The patio outside was screened from the other rooms and had a small table and chairs as well as a pair of chase lounges to recline on if one desired.
Down the hall was a great room with tables, chairs, recliners, large screen TV, and a telescope for viewing the ferries going up and back across the Inlet. Upstairs was the dining room and a formal living room for one's use. Breakfasts started with fruit, granola, creamy yogurt, and went on from there. One had to be careful not to overindulge too much.
This place was designed to stay, lounge in the hot tub, and recharge one's batteries. Very enjoyable!

Rae Leigh Heights Bed and Breakfast is awesome!! Dave the owner is so nice and gives personal tours around the whole location. He is very caring in making sure his guests have all needs met, and makes an incredible breakfast in the morning. The views of the bay from the location is breath taking, and you can easily have a cup of coffee while overlooking the incredible view from your room every morning. The house is very quiet and very relaxing and homey. Dave is very funny and sweet and takes interest in his patrons.

As above too expensive for what you get. Pool close, hot tub dirty. 1 ply toilet papet, thin towels. No T.V. in room . Room never checked . Should be checked daily. Even to re-supply room with kleenex, toilet paper and empty garbage. Our mini frig was not in our room but in the dining room.

I booked Rae Leigh based on the photo in the listing, for a week of relaxation and to soak up some BC nature. The view was beautiful, the room was very comfortable and David cooked the best omelette I've ever tasted. Rae Leigh was the perfect location for the balance between sightseeing and a retreat, and David and Jill were very gracious hosts.

A FANTASTIC couple of days!
My wife & I stayed for 2 days of rest after a hectic week visiting family. What a truly GREAT couple of days! Hosts David and Jill were incredibly supportive, unobtrusive and very warm genuinely lovely people. David breakfast made lunch impossible! This is an AWESOME place to stay - a gorgeous view over the harbor, deafening silence and an outdoor pool that we loved! The work out facilities are world class - I have never seen facilities like these in high end hotels - an array of free weights and assorted benches, stretching bands, exercise and balance balls, great sound system to listen to whatever you want, an ergometer, a high tech Video mountain bike, a recumbent bike, all high end brands. I had 2 workouts followed by either a sauna or hot tub followed by an outdoor swim overlooking the harbor. Next time I will book a week!!

We enjoyed our two night stay at Rae Leigh Heights.
My only complaint was the pillows on the bed and the small shower in our Room.
Our host was interesting and we enjoyed meeting him, he makes a great cheese omelet !!.
We woke one morning to seeing the resident goat eating a rose brush outside our bedroom french doors.
We would recommend this B&B and stay there again.

We had a great stay here. There is an amazing view, everything was clean and tidy, and David, the host, was very generous and even gave us free wine. Breakfast was delicious. The price is extremely reasonable. We would definitely stay here again!
