Room was very clean. Convenient to have a restaurant and a bar on the premises. We went to both. The restaurant had an excellent breakfast menu, portions were huge and service was quick and thoughtful. At the bar, it was chicken wing night and it was hopping. Service was still quick and wings were great and such a good price. A 12 minute drive to the Save on Food Memorial Centre so we took a taxi and it was $12 before tip.

Original room, the pull out couch didn’t work so luckily they were able to switch us. We really enjoyed the lounge and games den. Kids loved getting happy hour popcorn! Beds were clean and comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower.
There’s a diner attached (Floyd’s diner)- had a lunch there and food was ok.
We would definitely stay there again, only thing I would say is, the outdoor pool said it was heated but definitely didn’t feel like it. Kids went in once but would’ve used it a lot more if it was warmer. And a toaster in our kitchenette would’ve been useful.

Stayed here recently and it was a great overall experience. The room and common areas were clean, modern, and well kept. One of the standout features was the entertainment setup — the jumbo TV and games like ping pong and foosball were a huge bonus, especially for relaxing downtime.

I didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor heated pool, but it looked really inviting and well maintained. Definitely something I’d check out next time.

Location, amenities, and overall vibe made this an easy choice — I’d absolutely stay here again. 👍

The coffee machine makes like warm coffee. The tv remotes are a complete mystery and there’s no instruction card for them. Staff send the owner prefers to have someone come to the room and explain it but I don’t want anyone in my room. I want privacy. Just have instructions for Gods sake. The toilet refill was sticky and I had to open the tank lid to fix it every time. Staff are great, gym is good, pool looked great, but the grounds and parking are dingy, and hallways need an upgrade. Room itself was excellent.

Sketchy area. Windowns need replaced. Ours had a 1/4” gap that wouldnt close on the top.
Parking lot is tough with pub patrons taking all the spots. Underground is not a place i want to park with no garage doors.

The staff at the property was great in accommodating my needs while staying at The Vic. The property's front entrance looks amazing and is a bit deceiving once you turn the corner to the elevator, the property shows its age. It requires the carpets throughout the hotel to be steamed or my suggestion woupd be to replace them with new ones. The windows are thin and older and the one in my room didnt close all the way. The cleaners need to do a better job at cleaning, such as taking the time to vacuum the floor, and using some type of bleach for the shower to rid the stains and mold. The beds were alright. But please change out the duvet covers and pillowcase covers. As they had stains all over them. The saying you get what you pay for applys here but the staffing accommodations helped with not changing hotels. So staffing especially the gentleman that goes throughout the hotel at night with the bin to collect laundry or bring towels, I want to thank you..

Lovely hotel. Front desk staff were very helpful. Cleaning staff were underwhelming. Glasses in the room had lip prints on them, I stayed for 9 days and only once did they make the bed. They basically exchanged towels with me at the door of my room. I cleaned my own room during my stay.

The staff were marvellous. Check-in was quick, very professional young men. Parking was good, lots of it. Our bed and pillows were comfortable, nice white bedding. The bathroom shower taps were improperly installed and we had no hot water the first day but they quickly had that repaired. Both my husband and I have bad knees and hips so the low toilets with no bars for assistance was a problem. We bought a portable commode and fixed that problem. The floor in the bathroom and entry are very slippery when wet and that was a problem. Enjoyed our stay.

Disappointing that they did not refresh the coffee station in the rooms daily. They would only make up the room if you were staying for 6+nights which is ridiculous.
Tiny bathroom and there was a loud noise from something mechanical all night long both nights.
The metal bed frame squeaked everytime we moved, rolled over etc.
Underwhelmed by the bad renos, less than helpful customer service and location.

I was greeted in a courteous and professional manner. I had a kitten with me and that wasn't a problem. My room turned out to be a suite - with a living room, small well outfitted kitchen, bedroom and bathroom (with a rain shower). The staff were amazing. I had a problem with my wayward kitten and between the maintenance staff and housekeeping staff we managed to get her into her carrier.

Cozy old-school pub in the basement with great beef burgers at bizarrely reasonable prices. Also attached hip diner but unfortunately don't open till 8am. Best yet: affordable pricing! I honestly don't know how to rate this hotel.

Front staff Raffael deserves a raise. I absolutely love his professionalism, he was super well mannered, friendly greeting, super polite, and knew everything inside out. I would hire him for my business in a heartbeat.

As for the room, I noticed a weird smell, tub wasn't cleaned (there was some dirt), I found dead bugs (multiple) in random spots, the chair had some liquid stains (you can already imagine), and I saw a bug underneath the bedsheets too.

I didn't want to address any issues, since I was in Victoria for an event to celebrate my fiancee's engagement. Raffael was generous to upgrade our room from Queen to King. So I didn't want to sound ungrateful by pointing out all these issues. I spent about an hour cleaning up sanitizing the place (luckily I brought disinfectants) and left the window opened.

Overall, it was quite uncomfortable, I didn't want to touch anything including sleeping on the bed was bothering us even after the sanitation. The smell persisted even after leaving the windows opened for 2hours even though outside was at 6degrees Celsius.

10 stars out of 5 for Raffael.

I stayed for 8 nights at The Vic Hotel. The staff at this hotel are extremely attentive & friendly. The front desk people are always there to help. Fathimah always greeted me with a smile and asked how my day went. The rooms are very clean, and nicely decorated - set up very well with everything that you need - TV, coffee station, mini fridge, a wonderful shower, & lighted mirror above the sink. There's even a Floyds Diner attached to the lobby for breakfast, and Heckler's pub is right downstairs for evening food & entertainment. I woud definitely recommend this hotel.

Room is clean, sheets and towels are clean and did not have smell as I am particular especially with pillows. Bath toiletries for shower smells good and good quality was provided. Good layout of bath/toilet separated from sink area. Great location. Overall, we are satisfied with our stay and would go back there again. Easy to recommend to others for short or long stay.

Good boutique decor. Great amenities complete with foosball and ping pong tables and self-serve popcorn.

I don't like putting really bad reviews but the hallways smelled strongly like body odour. The room smelled like body odour and a whiff of mould unfortunately. The room looked clean enough. Our second story window faced the parking lot, and unfortunately we could hear drunk people talking out loud outside.
