First off, the hotel had no air conditioning. I’ve genuinely never stayed at a hotel without AC, so it never even crossed my mind to verify that before booking. Unfortunately, that became a major issue because Victoria was quite hot during our stay. To make matters worse, the windows had no screens or safety protection. If you’re traveling with a child, opening them feels unsafe, and leaving them open also invites bugs into the room.

Cleanliness was mediocre at best. The sheets appeared clean, but the bathroom was extremely dated, and both the floors and walls looked grimy throughout the property. The facilities were equally disappointing. The entire hotel operated with only one elevator, which was constantly overcrowded and painfully slow. The “gym” could barely qualify as one — tiny, no air conditioning, and only a couple pieces of equipment.

I don’t normally use hotel pools, but if my child had been old enough to swim, I would not have felt comfortable letting them use this one. The pool area looked just as dirty as the bathrooms, if not worse.

For the price, this experience was completely unacceptable. We paid over $400 CAD per night with taxes and booked two weeks in advance, so this was far from a budget stay. On top of everything else, there wasn’t even a vending machine available for water, let alone snacks or food.

I will absolutely not be returning. I hope this review helps future travelers make a more informed decision.

This is a decent, inexpensive hotel close to the harbor, so that’s a plus. Staff at front desk were very pleasant and helpful. Another plus.

However, I was really disappointed with the “gym.” The online photo makes it look bigger than what it actually is; essentially a closet with a bike, one bench and a rack of dumbbells, and with a very low ceiling. Literally only two people max can be in there at a time.

Also, keeping the in-room coffee bar stocked was a challenge. I had to ask for refills. The room gets made up on day 3, and I’m fine with that, but please don’t leave a large bottle of toilet cleaner on the sink.

We stayed here for two nights and overall had a really good experience. The location is excellent — right in the city center and within walking distance to all the main attractions in Victoria.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we always had hot water. It was also nice to have coffee available in the room.

The hotel felt convenient and easy for a short stay. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The location is perfect—close to the Inner Harbour, restaurants, and shops, making it very convenient to explore the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. I also really appreciated the great value for the price.

The only thing I’d hope for in the future is air conditioning, especially during warmer days—it would make the stay even more comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Victoria.

It is a older hotel but in general it was ok. It was fairly quiet but we were on the top floor at the end of hall which probably helped. The room was fairly clean. There was a small stain on our sheets and the housekeeping staff was quick at replacing the sheets. There is no a/c in the room but it was not extremely hot outside as it was April. You could only open the windows slightly for fresh air and there was a fan in the room. So we manage to keep the room at a decent temperature. I can imagine in the summer being really hot without a/c. Staff was helpful. Price is relatively high for what it is but I guess you pay to be in Victoria.

Parking was kinda inconvenient, not to blame the hotel but their parkade gate wasnt working with the scan card so i had to keep calling the hotel lobby for access. 80% of the time they answered and opened it right away. When problems arose with the parking in the parkade staff was quick to accomodate a solution.
Cleaning staff was also friendly, kept the propety well maintained. Had a family feel to the hotel, with a small swimming pool the little one loved.

The location was great we were close to everything Victoria had to offer, it truely couldnt of gotten any better. Quiet streets at night for anyone who smokes, there is no fear of getting robbed.

We had a very good stay here. It’s centrally located and close to restaurants and places you might want to visit, such as the Royal BC Museum, Parliament, and Chinatown.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Kudos to the front desk staff member on the morning shift (sorry I wasn’t able to get your name) who assisted us. We really appreciated all your help.

The building is older, so you can expect to hear some noise from the hallway as it’s not fully soundproof. The pool is quite small, but my kids still enjoyed swimming in it. Parking is included and safely secured in their gated parking area.

My husband was not to happy as soon as we were checking in we were told there was a charge to park our car! Fifteen dollars a night, we stayed two nights. Paying Two hundred a night for a room we were not expecting to also pay for parking! Also the door in the parking area was not working with our room key and we had to use a button, so not very secure.
I also thought they would clean the room, they did NOT! When I asked about it at the front desk I was told they clean it every other day, we were there only for two nights!
They did bring clean towels.

I feel this property shoyld not be a vip property...the vending machines were out of order the pool was out of order and we had to find sonewhere else to use the bathroom for several hours on thursday so glad we were onlu staying there 2 days

Overall, would definitely return. Good location for walkability. There are so many awesome restaurants nearby so don’t fault them for not having an onsite restaurant! Friendly staff. Small pool, not operating right now - under repair. Older building so there are quarks related to that such as sound transference and wear and tear (clean and not related to furnishings). I would say the price of the room accurately reflected this when compared to other downtown locations.

We had no access to drinking water. We eventually found the ice machine (on another level) and had to wait for ice to melt so drink it.

There is no sound insulation between doors and hallways, and other hotel guests were quite loud even after "quiet hours." There is little sound insulation between levels in the bathroom, so we could hear a lot of what when on in the bathroom above us.

The pool is quite small and cool. It would not be big enough for more than one party of guests at a time.

Linens were clean, but towels were quite small.

Curtains did not close fully (always a gap between panels), compromising privacy after dark.

There was no welcoming literature explaining the hotel services, etc.

We did appreciate having control of the room temperature (heat only).

The room is not actual ready for someone. In the bathroom shower is not working, this is worst when in the morning someone has to go for urgent meeting and shower isn’t working 😒😒. Moreover in the tap water smell is strange and on top of that no drinking water there plus for tea kettle main part is not there to make tea in the morning. Room was totally out of services.

I just want to just say management stay once in your rooms that you are providing to people for your businesses , you realize what others feels when people are paying enough cost for staying in order to get basic services , which is not even there

We were planning on leaving Comox this morning for Victoria for a family gathering on staying tonight at the Quality Inn. Early this morning I had to call 911 for an ambulance to take my wife to the hospital. I just returned from the hospital and she is being admitted for possible stroke. The staff were nice and room was tidy, water pressure in the showers were a bit weak and the temperature was hard to control but the heated light was nice after walking out from the shower.
