Great location but very old building and rooms. Room looked onto interior atrium of building which is dirty and has bright lighting all night long. Room layout is awkward. Carpet appears to be original. Bedding is lumpy and uncomfortable. I would pass on this hotel if you have other options.

Room was clean, staff were friendly. They allowed me to check-in early and gave me an upgrade.
The location is right at the centre of all the action. Restaurants, bars, shops. There was a lot of city noise though. Vehicles, construction, drunk people late at night. Im used to sounds of a big city so I wasnt bothered but it might not be for everyone.

It was ok. The room was cold and could have been a little cleaner. The bathroom has no sink. There is a sink on the kitchenette but it’s a bit of a strange set up. The room could also do with a proper mirror the only one in there is a tiny circular mirror in the kitchenette that you have to lean in over the counter to use. The room we had is surrounded by very loud pubs that are open till late so it was very noisy if you are a light sleeper.
On a plus side the room had 3 hair dryers, so had I have found myself with wet hair that needed drying in a hurry, I’d of been well equipped.

The room was a little cool so they brought me a heater and some blankets which really helped also unfortunately the cleaner didn’t get all the food/garbage that was under the stovetop area. Other than that, everything was fine.

This was my third time staying here as it has become a desirable, not-so-distant escape for us living on the mainland.
We were initially sold on the fireplace in the suites along with the antiquated-but for that time- posh European-style for each room. The price has always been remarkably reasonable considering you are ground zero for walking proximity to the harbour front and all of the shops and restaurants you could want. The place delivered once again.
We will be coming back yet again.

We stayed here to just have a safe place to sleep so that we can adventure around town and enjoy the self-care touristy festivities, lights & beauty of DT Victoria.

Price was very good too.

Staff was friendly, our stay was very good, our room was clean, except we found a couple 2 short hair on our sheet (I'm super picky)... could be pet or person... otherwise our room was very clean.

We will stay here again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Every staff member was lovely and welcoming, the room was clean and had all the amenities I needed (plus 2 shower heads, I've never seen that before anywhere)! I also really loved the lobby area where you can hang out and have tea from their complimentary tea station. Location was absolutely perfect, being right next door to Murchie's and Munro's Books felt like such a luxury. Overall my experience was honestly perfect, especially considering the very reasonable price point!

Unfortunately, our experience at this property was very disappointing. Due to maintenance issues, the hotel decided to change our room. We had called early in the morning to inform them that we would be checking in late, but this information was clearly not communicated properly.
At check-in, the first room we were offered felt extremely small, enclosed, and almost claustrophobic. We expressed our concern, and the staff member on duty did offer us another room on the third floor. However, the elevator was not working. To his credit, he was kind enough to help us carry our luggage upstairs, which we appreciated.
Another major inconvenience was the parking. The designated parking spot is about two blocks away, and at no point during the booking or communication was it mentioned that parking is chargeable. We ended up going with street parking instead.
Once inside the room, we noticed several issues: there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and mold was developing around the bathroom tiles. The room also had an induction stove with an exhaust system, but the exhaust pipe connecting to the outside was missing. This made the exhaust system completely ineffective, as any smoke would remain inside the room.
We chose this property mainly because of its central location and lower price, as we were only staying one night in Victoria. However, after this experience, I now understand why other hotels charge a premium. This was not a stay I would repeat, and it will definitely be my last

Super cute clean room. The only 1 thing I had any issue with at all is it was quite noisy in the morning with delivery and garbage trucks etc. that being said, that’s how a city works so it’s a pretty great place. I would absolutely stay there again!

It is an older hotel that is showing it age. But if you want a clean room with a bed for a night or 2 its fine. It worked for us. Walking distance to many pubs, restaurants, the parliament buildings and the inner harbour. Our room had a kitchenette, but it was not stocked. Had to go to the lobby and get bowles, cutlery ect. But items are available if you require them. The parking seamed a little strange when you are looking online, but actually it was very easy and closer then we expected. They comunicate with you through the process.Very reasonable rates. Next time we are in Victoria, we will be staying here.

The location is very convenient in the center of Government Street. The building was old, but it was well cleaned. There were also enough clean towels. My room was on the third floor on the main street side, so I could hear the sound of a nearby pub until midnight.

This old hotel has so much charm. It is located on the Main Street and is a quick walk to Chinatown or the Wharf depending on where you want to go. We had a view of the harbor and it was nice to see the seaplanes and ferries arriving and leaving.

We arrived late in the evening driving diff a couple hours through an atmospheric rainstorm. We initially had concerns about the quality of the room we booked for 5 days as various sites had pictures that did not show it off as well as Hotels.com. But Ron on the night duty desk was kind enough to show it to us after we insisted we needed a look first and it was fine and he was more than helpful our amenities stay. If you want the most central spot in Victoria’s downtown by historic Chinatown the market and loads of shopping and restaurants you could not do better than the Bedford Regency we give it 5 stars. Despite the only flay that they need to refresh the bedding and get proper duvets other than that next time we are back in Victoria this where we will stay again. Bryon & Lynda

I loved the convenience of a small fridge to store breakfast and a kettle to boil water, and the coffee machine. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, I contributing to a sound sleep. No fan on th bathroom.

The room had a ‘kitchenette’, but did not stock anything (dishes, pots and pans, utensils , etc) to use it as such.
The bathroom had some spots that looked like black mould. The toilet had problems with the tank refilling and then would not flush.

For an older hotel, the room was clean, but it was very warm even with the thermostat turned off.
The parking was only a 5 min walk from the building, but it was $20 a day through the hotel, whereas if we had paid at the lot it would have been only $17 a day.

there is no kitchen and no bar. this hotel is a serious problem. very old, dated and completely wrong for a hotel.
the location is amazing in down town Victoria and since it was a really busy weekend, we HAD to stay there. otherwise it may have been the worst hotel I have been to in the last 10 years. its needs a complete remodel. the doors are half the size, the shower is 2 X 2.. cant even stretch your hands. there is NO place to charge your phone. get this.. there is no sink in the room. thank God they stuck a toilet in there. Never again.

i’d like to start out by saying the staff was great, very nice and very quick to fulfill your request (i requested extra towels and bedding) with that being said the room i was given was not AT ALL what i booked on expedia (FAIR WARNING) i tried to ask the front desk to upgrade i even said id pay they proceeded to tell me they were fully booked. not sure i believed them.
once in my room and trying to get as settled in as one could in a room that i didn’t feel comfortable in i noticed how dirty everything was. my white lampshade had brownish black stains in it, my toilet was broken and had rust on the toilet lid, they DO NOT move anything when cleaning the floors some places the carpet was white instead of red because it was layered with dust

although this property was in a amazing location and was a bit cheaper then surrounding properties i’m not sure i’d stay here again

Horrible check-in, room is a dump. Was denied entry to the room because I didn’t have a physical credit card on me despite having already paid. The person helping didn’t try to problem solve just said he’ll give me a refund, which leaves me stuck without a room. I offered to pay the hundred dollars on my card and have it be refunded the next day, or pay cash, was just told over and over again “it’s our policy” without offering a resolve. Finally, I asked if I could use somebody else else’s credit card and they told me the person had to be present. I told them I’m travelling alone, so what do they suggest I do? Finally he said he could email my brother a credit card form. This entire process made my check in 45 minutes long. On top of that they don’t even have bottled water at this hotel, the room is a dump, the window screen fell off immediately, it’s been an absolute trash experience.

Old history structure ! There should be more early centuries hotels like that downtown in that style and culture wise . Victoria has the best smell of atmosphere and culture friendly people and safe atmosphere different lifestyle and culture. It really shows how Canadian people culture and really are and as Canadian people have forgotten that we are all Canadian strong all cultures need to stick together as Canadian people and culture regardless of religion. All people of Canada has to stick together and be proud what we have as country and being free . What an awesome chill city !!! Good people there

I was charged an extra $150 for an \"additional\" person for a room that sleeps four. There were three of us. In the room, the carpet was dirty, having spotted some bugs in the rug as well as in the bathroom. Beds were very uncomfortable. In the bathroom, the shower tap was too complicated to figure out with a long period of scorching hot water. Great location is all i can positively say.
