Very large room but starting to show some signs of wear and tear. There was a banging sound until about 11pm which was annoying and the soap and shampoo dispenser fell off the wall in the shower. The location was good and the breakfast was good.

Grand pacific is a beautiful hotel, we would stay here again.
We were only one night so did not use many of the facilities, the lounge was nice with great service, best sangria I have ever had.

The location was perfect for access to the COHO ferry service. The views of the harbor was a plus. The gym and large pool were a pleasant surprise, well maintained, and offered every option for exercise. Staff were friendly.

The view from our room facing the harbour was amazing. Our flight got in very early, the hotel checked us in earlier without any issues. Pool and hot tub are good size . Great location very close to everything. Over all great first visit to Victoria. Would highly recommend. 😊

The location of the hotel is wonderful! It is clean with a great restaurant and lounge. We loved the spacious room, but the bed was way too firm. In fact I would say it was hard like the floor. After the first two nights I was so stiff and sore, so I slept on the sofa bed the next two nights which was much better. Maybe it was just the room I was in!

The hotel and staff were excellent.

The concern we have is significant though.

We booked our flights to each have a carry on. A vehicle to have 6 people travel safety and 5 star hotel.

When we called to confirm with Travelocity our trip would go as planned we were informed they could not confirm the vehicle would have seating for 6 people. The Travelocity assistance told us to cancel the vehicle booking and rebook a larger vehicle. He told me this was the only way to confirm we would have a 6 passenger vehicle. I was very reluctant to do this but the
Travelocity assistant stated there was no other way to confirm the vehicle. So I do cancel and rebook but durning this rebooking the airline tickets were downgraded unbeknown to us to ULTRABASIC!!!!! We get to the airport and we were told we each had to pay for our carry on and the baggage would have to paid for as a checked baggage. No matter how we tried to explain it was a Travelocity error, we did not have any alternative.

Travelocity has not taken responsibility for their deceptive error nor have offered to reimburse us for these costs.

To date I have not heard back from Travelocity to advise us of what they will do to reimburse us for their assistant’s deception to all 6 of our tickets.

You’re paying for location and the grandness they want to protray. For the price of the room, it was no different than a new Best Western. The front desk staff were indifferent to us at best, and I was never thanked for staying or asked if everything is ok. This place is definitely targeting the older, wealthier demographic and not a younger family like us. I felt more tolerated than welcomed. Plus, parking is extra. For that much money for a room, they don’t even give you a pass.

The hotel has a newly renovated side and an older side. We stayed in the older side and it was still quite nice. We had a lovely view of the inner harbour and the Legislature. The staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived in town before check in time and the front desk person was able to accommodate us and got us in our room.

Absolutely amazing hotel! From welcoming and friendly staff to views and room cleanliness. The harbour views are unbeatable. It might be noisy at times, but if the windows are closed, you can hear a thing! So, no sleep disruptions. Worth every penny.

The Grand is centrally located and within walking distance to most attractions in victoria making it a great choice or tourists. The hotel was clean and inviting and the front desk staff were amazing, especially Jake who made sure we were well taken care of and all our needs were met. The rooms were slightly dated, but the beds were very comfortable and the linens were luxurious. Our room was well stocked and clean. We had a view of the harbour and downtown which i enjoyed since the city was bustling with people! The room was quiet at night even with being on the front, street facing of the hotel. The restaurant was excellent and food was top notch! The wait staff accommodated our need for quick service. Checkout was smooth and efficient.

The room I booked, they sold out to somebody else, and then they pushed me into another room and charge me extra for it without letting me know about it. The hotel itself needs to be updated a little bit. The room seems outdated.

Selected this hotel because of advertised valet parking as I am partially disabled, only to find as I arrived that the \"new owners haven't set up the insurance for valet parking yet\". Luckily enough got a spot in the underground parking very close to elevator, but then my key card didn't work in the elevator to access my floor. Piggybacked on another guests card to get to my floor only to find out my key card didn't work for the room either!!!...Back down to lobby and the bellman Aiden helped to get me a new card that worked

Not worth the money? It’s a decent hotel but the cost is not reflected in the service or the room.

The tv is old, only basic cable. No valet parking but cost is 30$/day to park.

They told me that there’s an upgrade to my room however it is not a harbour view. Then they said “their system made a mistake and gave my room to someone else”, and they can only offer me something not as good. And they call that an “upgrade”. I. The end, they called another guest and swapped our rooms. So I still get a room similar to what I booked - king bed in a suite, with harbour view. The room is fantastic. This accident was the only downside of this trip.

My guess is that they had to gave my room to someone more “royal” than I am, and only tried to fool me with a so called “upgrade”. The “upgrade” was either a room with two queen beds and harbour view, or a room with king bed and crater, no harbour view. Hard to say any of these two is comparable to what I booked.

Our stay was perfect. We love the location, right on the harbour where we can walk to interesting places including quaint pubs and popular restaurant chains.

Rooms were clean and well supplied with what we required. We had a microwave sent to our room that was a very minimal charge. Awesome for small eaters like us bringing left overs home from the restaurants!

Hopefully with the new owners they will upgrade their rooms. The area is wonderful for getting around and very walkable.

Super easy check in , bag storage until room was ready and opportunity to forgo room cleaning to have 4 trees planted instead. The very amenable housekeeping staff on the 9th floor provided us with coffee and cream each day and checked in on us even though they weren’t cleaning our room. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with a hello and a smile.

Comfy bed and pillows, good amenities. Appreciated coffee cream in the fridge. Nice to have a sink in the bathroom and outside it. Quiet

The location is absolutely ideal. The room was spectacular with an incredible view of the harbor (we were on the 8th floor). Every one of the staff was amazing. Very helpful, including the concierge service outside. Love the pool - especially having 2 dedicated lanes for lap swim. The steam room and dry sauna was awesome. The hot tub always crowded, and often with children under 12 years old ( mostly 3 - 5 year olds) We have a Toyota 4runner and fit fine in the parking garage under the hotel however anything taller would not fit. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Room was clean, housekeeping responsive with towels blankets pillows. Had room service but was dinner not breakfast. Did not try hot tub nor did I have a jetted tub. Please note that you may want to ask this location to make sure you do not have a room with mixed up TV channels as the guide is inaccurate and there were only 2 basic channels with tons of commercials. So may want to ask and think about this one if you have kids. We had a double queen with balcony.

The negatives: No breakfast included, parking costs more for guests than for the public, the layout of the hotel is like a maze, the front desk is understaffed and they have no sense of urgency when there are people waiting. Also no microwave in room!

The harbor view was great. For the cost of the room, the room was pretty cramped and the beds were terribly firm. The bedding/sheets/pillows were comfortable, but the mattresses felt like sleeping on a bare floor. Three nights of no sleep was no fun. The pool was big and family-friendly, the hotel had nice amenities and the staff was very friendly.

This is a beautiful hotel ideally situated downtown, next to Parliament and within walking distance of most everything. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the lobby and rooms were spotless. We had a suite, which was perfect for our family, allowing room separation. I think it’s probably time for a little bit of renovation in the bathroom, but it was still so nice and a great place to stay in Victoria.
