Room and appliances were very clean with a decent view of mountains in the distance (preferred view room). Elevator and parking are secure which was very reassuring. Just far enough away from main downtown so it is not noisy or crowded, but everything is still within a 20-minute walk radius - the harbour, attractions, movie theaters, restaurants, grocery, etc.

Amenity was very extensive, great value for the money. My 700sqft suite felt very comfortable, however we felt some of the finishing and layout is a bit outdated. Amenity within the kitchen was very helpful for us considering dining in the suite instead of spending extra money dining out.

This hotel is really a condo with a lot of amenities. It is walking distance to the Empress hotel, the B.C. Government buildings and many restaurants. We also enjoy the lovely rooftop patio that overlooked the city and the indoor pool.
There is an onsite bistro that sells pastries, sandwiches, coffee and drinks.
However if you are there for week or more, there is no nearby grocery or liquor store in the vicinity and unless you arrive by car you are lugging bags.

Wonderful local stay in the heart of the inner harbor area with great access to downtown and core bus routes. Our room was clean and perfectly set up for longer stays with a small kitchenette and a convenient layout with plenty of space to move around with a walker.

It was very warm in our hotel room and we were unable to open a window to the outside. Our windows opened up into the lobby., Air conditioning was very loud and ineffective, we were unable to even hear the TV over it. Weopened our windows at night hoping to cool it down however The lobby was very loud so the noise kept us awake. There is two fans in the room to help.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was very clean and well-equipped. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and having a laundry machine was a great bonus.
The only small note is that laundry detergent isn’t provided, so be sure to bring your own.

Loved having a full kitchen where we made 50% of our meals. One bedroom allowed some privacy between the two of us. The main room with the pullout bed was used by the second person and it was very comfortable. Pool great to do lengths. Location fabulous. 5/minute walk to the downtown area. 20 minute walk south to the ocean. Parking cost high but very convenient for in and out trips. Our room on the 6th floor beside the rooftop terrace was beautiful. Didn’t use the terrace or balcony as it was cold at the end of Feb but would be delightful in the warmer months.

Honestly, probably one of my favourite all-around hotel experience. The one bedroom view suite with a king sized bed was beautiful and well-appointed. The lobby with the koi pond is stunning. Staff were friendly and attentive. The little breakfast place in the lobby was great - good food at a reasonable price. And the location is really convenient for getting to all the sights in downtown Victoria. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Parkside. The venue is gorgeous; like bringing the outside in. I loved the Koi pond. It was so relaxing to sit by it. The suite was very clean and spacious. I enjoyed overlooking the Koi pond from our own patio. The pool was great; quite large and warm. Spacious hot tub as well, though a little bit on the hotter side so was hard to stay in for too long. I loved the in-room washer/dryer machine; was so handy and an all in one machine. Heated flooring was very nice after a shower. All sorts of kitchen details to cook your own meal even an ice tray provided. I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the room’s fireplaces unfortunately. I would suggest adding instructions for those, the washed/dryer, and dish washer. The staff was very kind and accommodating. Very cool to be able order pizza and ice cream right to your room. We had a lovely chat with the hotel manager, Casper. You have hired an exceptional employee. It was mine and my daughter’s birthday and he was so kind to us. To add, it was great to see the location is very accessible to disabled or elderly individuals. Including an walkin shower with hand rails and fold out chair in the shower. The attention to detail in ensuring a great stay did not go unnoticed. Overall was a really great stay, we absolutely would stay again. Highly recommended.

Love the relaxing atmosphere when you walk in the main lobby area and the koi pond inside surrounded by plants is really lovely. Room was very clean and spacious and the kitchenette had all the needed essentials for cooking (or heating up) a simple meal. Our room was rather warm (even with the heat turned all the way down so it wouldn’t switch on), so we very much appreciated that there were Dyson tower fans in the bedroom and living area and windows that we could crack open for fresh air. Definitely will look at staying here again next time we’re in town.

Rooms were great and service was excellent however there is an issue with silverfish that both rooms had. Our friends in a different room saw large silverfish in the bed linens and bathroom, and our room had them throughout the kitchen and bathroom (due to a hole in the tile) which made us feel very uneasy throughout our stay. Both our rooms washer/dryer combo unit was not great and regardless of how long it ran for it’d still remain wet. Apart from that the staff were attentive and helpful, and the property and view itself was beautiful.
