Phenomenal place, the ambiance, the decor, the TEAM...THE TEAM is phenomenal, the walkability of the location! I was so inspired by the decor that I have decided to jump into my own house projects. The walls are a little...thinner than I'd like, a couple was...enjoying themselves VERYYYYY loudly and it was pretty uncomfortable. The first half of the week is quiet, but Thursday-weekend its pretty loud due to the GORGEOUS club upstairs.

Overall GREAT stay for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Here’s a cleaner and more polished version that still sounds genuine and firm:

The hotel was very underwhelming and did not feel worth the price we paid. We arrived a few hours early and appreciated that the staff held our luggage while we waited for check-in. However, we were told we would be notified when the room was ready, and no one ever contacted us.

Once we got to the room, we discovered there was no hot water, and the shower would sometimes stop running entirely in the middle of use. We immediately notified the front desk, and although engineering was supposedly informed, the issue was still not fixed the following morning.

We also attempted to contact room service several times throughout our stay, but no one answered or responded.

Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. For the amount of money spent, I expected much better service, communication, and basic room functionality.

From the moment we booked this trip, the staff at the hotel were very communicative and very easy to work with. We stayed with them for our 20th wedding anniversary and they were so kind and helpful. They gave us suggestions of places to go and things to do. You could tell they were very proud of the island and what it had to offer. One note: the pool on the 4th floor was what I consider odd. Not really a pool to swim in. Although we did not take advantage of it, the sister property around the corner had a pool available for our use. We did visit the bar and had some of the best drinks, with and without alcohol. It was a very chic vibe. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. I would recommend staying here.

The noise is unbearable. We were on the third floor and had small windows connected a metal stairway that is so loud and it was like they were having a party up on the roof all night. We had to be up at 1am to catch a flight and couldn’t sleep at all. Between the paper thin walls where we hear everything the other rooms in our hall were doing and the loud party, we couldn’t sleep. At $500 a night this was unacceptable. The place is clean and comfortable, but you can’t relax at night with all the noise.

We had a great stay at O:live boutique hotel. I’m sorry we didn’t have more time to explore the restaurant, pool, etc but this was a one night stay pre-cruise and we already had dinner reservations off-property. Check in was quick and efficient, the front desk staff was very pleasant. The lobby is cozy and intimate - as is the whole hotel. Our room 203 was a nice surprise - it had a big private courtyard with lounge seating, cafe table and chairs, and a really cool outdoor tub/shower. The bedding was very comfortable, the bathroom clean and modern. I would definitely stay here again and I would set aside some time to experience the pool, restaurant, etc.

If this was a $200 (not $500) a night room it would have been fine. Hotel does not look like much from the front, small sign and very dark entrance at night. It is in a good location between the lagoon and ocean. We travel often in all types of properties and locations. The room looks (I think renovated) but has the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. Then the layout of the room is terrible:
The shower takes up a big portion of the room so we had leave one suite case on balcony.
Bathroom sink is oversized which leaves no room for anything else(see pic)
Glass doors on shelving units block hallway when open (see pic).
Toilet door blocks sink when open (see pic).
Toilet door blocks shower door when open (see pic)
Bed foot board extends outward making it hard to pass (see pic) the corners.
Other issues:
Bed is very firm and the pillows are hard as rock.
No tissues in room.
Only 2 bath towels in room.
Toilet takes 3 plus (hold down for 10 seconds) flushes to clean it.
Safe is over complicated with no directions and didn’t work after getting assistance.
Had an outdoor shower and sort of tube (see pic very weird) but curtains on balcony didn’t close all the way so offered no privacy and if you want to slide them open them you can not.
Street can be noisy, especially in day time.
Clicking noise echoing in hallway all night long.
Stairs to room have no illumination.
Careful where u step there are strange trip hazards all around.

Lovely looking hotel in terms of visual design. However, rooms were designed for looks and not comfort. The room had no window. The bath had a glass wall which meant that if you turned the light on when going to the bathroom in the night you woke up your partner. There was this silly interior balcony area with steps and small sitting chairs--pretty useless except to spread out luggage. The bed was too high and too hard. Great to look at but not to stay or sleep.

I think the property did not meet our expectations or what they offer on the web site. First there was no restaurant on site, we had lunch at their sister property around the corner, but the service at the restaurant was poor. since check in on friday we had limited internet, which resulted in no tv or phone service. The room was small with no desk or any space for luggage. the last day we tried again to enjoy breakfast at the pool on the sister property, but we had to wait for over 45 min to be helped after several request and the food came 2 hours later with things we did not order, so we had to leave. Overall it was very disappointing for a hotel with the SLH certification and it is definitely not worth the amount of money we paid.

It was fabulous having no children about, but I guess the time of year…. There was limited onsite option… the rooftop bar never opened. We were instructed to go to the sister property a few doors down, but each night was a private event and given no access. The properties were beautiful and well appointed. We booked the room with a soaking tub on the verandah which was charming, but the location of the room was right at the employee stair well and trash chute… very noisy and only covered up by drapes… I’d paint those windows to not see into that dank stairwell. Staff were overall friendly but they did overcharge and hold a $500 deposit for the room for over a month, I had to call several times before it was resolved. Trip was in June, refund processed in August… I would absolutely visit the area again, but a larger property. For the entirety of our trip the one elevator did not work, my partner was recently off a knee surgery and got some serious PT in each day… having to walk the stairs. We couldn’t cancel and move because it was booked through Expedia. Sigh.

The property was amazingly beautiful if you love the bohemian, rustic, eclectic mixed with a little traditional feel. The decor was exceptional. The shower and outdoor tub had hot water. And the AC unit did not disappoint! Chile, the hotel provided o:live personalized robes, slippers, shower cap, and bath loofah sponge. And let’s not forget, a personalized welcome letter, sealed and delivered! The staff was amazing… helpful, quick to response and they went above and beyond to make sure the guests were satisfied. The staff welcomed us with shots of coquito… very delicious! We were accommodated with an early check in and they delivered our luggage to our room while we were out eating lunch trying to kill time. The hotel is very close to the best restaurants, bars and retail stores. I recommend this hotel 10 out of 10 and will be returning again!

Upon arrival, there was not hot water and we had to shower with freezing water (I called the receptionist but it didn’t get fixed). The toilet cistern broke and was leaking and making noise all night. The bathroom door didn’t close and it would compelled open when you were inside. The picture says it all. Ultra expensive, high-end advertised, hotels of the world, misrepresentation, situated in an alley.
-Evening shower-No hot water
-Morning shower- No hot water. (Engineer stated that the hotel could not provide enough hot water to service the 15 rooms)

Description of a calming, serene room, atmosphere, consisted of a dirty balcony, with dirty curtains, and a dried up fountain that did not work. The shower is situated in the middle of the room inside a glass cube. Shower floor was dirty. Room overlooked the rundown buildings across the street.

We booked dinner in the highly rated dining room, Sage. After waiting 1.5 hours the wrong food was brought out. We were told that the waitress ordered the wrong meals and we would have to wait to have our meals re-ordered. Informed us it would be right out. After waiting one hour and 15 minutes and back-and-forth we got up to leave and they put our food on the table almost 2 hours later. The server never came near us again to apologize. The head server apologize profusely, and and asked if you could send some wine and dessert up to the room to apologize. We reluctantly agreed, yet no wine or dessert was ever delivered to the room. After traveling all day, no shower, no ambience in the overpriced room, and then no meal in the overpriced served restaurant, we were appalled that this establishment continues to be in business.
Run away from this rip off establishment as fast as you can.

3 main issues with this hotel:

1. They (along with our experience in the past with sister hotel OLV) never seem to have the room ready at checkin time. At Olive, we waited half an hour while at OLV we waited over an hour for the room to be prepped after the advertised checkin time.
2. The room we purposely booked at Olive advertised a large outdoor hot tub attached to the room. Unfortunately the tub doesn’t actually function as a hot tub— filling it would take over 3 hours and the water would be cold by then so it’s a glorified outdoor shower. The hotel is skirting with false advertising here since people are surely paying extra for a hot tub that is unable to be used as such.
3. There were hot water issues with our room where the shower water would be cold to tepid at best. Nothing more unsatisfying than taking a cold shower in a room already frigid from an aggressive AC.

In conclusion, not a satisfying stay. Would probably look elsewhere for the price point.

Overall this is an overpriced hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for the price they charge. There was nothing special about the rooms or staff service. Our room didn’t even have a window and we had one of the “upgraded rooms”. When we entered the hotel the staff didn’t really greet us. We had to greet them hello to get their attention. We arrived earlier than check in and the staff really did not accommodate us for that. Their rooftop wasn’t open for food so we basically had to wait till 3:45 PM for the room (check in was 4 pm). Our floor was super noisy it almost felt like we were in a NYC apt building! The walls are paper thin!! I will say the outside area and lobby were very cute with vases and greenery. The rooftop was also cute but it opened at 5 PM for food and beverages.

We were incredibly disappointed with our stay. We stayed four nights and did not have hot water for the duration of our trip. Each time we tried to shower we'd again find it freezing, call the desk, and be told an engineer was turning the hot water heater back on -- but it never worked for more than a minute. We asked to be moved but were not accommodated. Additionally, the elevator -- located next to our room -- was broken every minute on the minute the door would open and loud voice would announce that passengers could enter -- over and over and over again. This went on all night and it was impossible to sleep. We asked repeatedly to speak to management but they kept not being at the property. When we finally tracked them down on our last day we were told we'd receive a $200 credit at minimum but that the manager would try to get more authorized. We never got anything and they stopped returning our calls and emails.

The hotel was beautiful and cozy. The staff were exceptional. The location was safe and convenient to everything we wanted

Sweet little hotel in a great location

Very cute little hotel in a fun location. We were able to walk to a lot of night life, restaurants and Condado Beach for a beach day. The rooftop pool is more like a large or double hot tub with cold water in it but it was refreshing. The rooftop bar was gorgeous but drinks were pricey and took a long time to be made. We had the small room and it was really cute and had nice touches like L'Occitane products in the bathroom and a nice minibar. My only complaints were the frosted glass door to the bathroom lights up the entire bedroom if you turn on the light in the middle of the night. Also, our bed was pretty uncomfortable and small for it being a \"luxury\" hotel. It was also a pain to have to ask for things like ice or bottled water. I did love the ability to send a text message for service or to get local advice but it only worked about 70% of the time. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants because there weren't any vegetarian options unfortunately. Overall it was a great end to our long trip and I would have loved to have seen some of the larger and nicer rooms. I loved the adults only feature and it was definitely a romantic place.
