The room was clean and spacious. Cooking facilities adequate and check-in was really easy. It wasn’t as modern as the photos looked but it wasn’t bad just a bit dated. The air-conditioner was needed for heating but only blue cool air. We just turned it off we had had packed warm clothes so it turned out to be no problem. Outdoor sitting area was lovely. Although not right in the centre of town, it suited our needs as we were able to cook our own meal at night without the need to go out.

Great Apartment but Difficult Check In

Nice apartment and great for a 2 night stay. Had a balcony with an outdoor table and chairs. Check in was terrible. I was sent an email saying I had entered all my details, but when I arrived there was no reception available. I rang the number and the woman said they did not have my credit card number. It took about half an hour to get wifi and enter my details again.

A very old room which had bad smells of cigarette smoke even though there's no smoking allowed. Furniture was old and ripped. Bathroom was a horror, broken tiles, rusted rails and vermin.
Anyone in adjoining rooms who used the shower made terrible pipe noises throughout, making a very unpleasant stay.

Would avoid this place unless you can't find anywhere else to stay.

Cockroaches, filthy kitchen, dirty cooking pots, cooktop was faulty, dangerous property, should not be allowed to operate. A large kitchen door was propped up by the bar stool, it could have hurt us when we moved the stool, it looked a bit ratty.
I would like to be refunded.

Stayed for 13 nights, the room I had was clean and spacious, location was very close to where I needed to be also. Good heating in the room. Only downside as mentioned in other reviews was the wifi/tv kept disconnecting, however it wasn’t too bad. TV had all channels and connected to Netflix, etc. overall I had a good stay at Alloggio and will use them the next time I’m in Bathurst :)

Cheap accommodation for a one night stay. Quite dated but cheap and adequate for our one night stay. Kitchen facilities very handy but lacking in equipment. Close to city centre for eating and a short drive to Mount Panorama. Self check in for late booking arrival was very handy if not a bit complicated to set up

This was without doubt the worst accommodation experience we have ever had. It was ridiculously overpriced, the unit was dirty, there was a dead cockroach on the floor to greet us when we walked in. We had no hot water during our entire 2 night stay despite 2 phone calls to management. The beds were uncomfortable, the sheets stained and evidence of not having been washed (ie hair in the bed). There is no staff on the property to tend to any issues. If I could give a negative star rating I would because 1 star seems to be too generous. I would urge anyone to not stay at this property. Disgusting!!!!

Great value and location

I stayed for 10 nights and found the room to be comfortable and great value for money. The rooms are on the older side however the bed was comfortable and It was great to have a kitchen. I’ll definitely stay there again.

I also think the communication to check in was perfect, but I really do NOT like the fact I needed to upload my drivers licence to be able to check in. Given the problems with cyber security problems nowadays I like you to change this and delete my drivers licence from the system please.

I had booked this property before reading the reviews and honestly once I did I got worried! Check in was all done online/over the phone and was a bit confusing but the ladies on the phone where great and we got there in the end. The property is a little old but everything was clean and it had all the essentials. The family room has a full sized fridge and freezer which was great.

My only complaint would be that the exhaust fan in our bathroom did not work and with no opening window in there it did make the floor extremely slippery with the condensation and my daughter slipped over, so just be careful of that if you’re fan doesn’t work or shower with the door open if you can.

Other than that no problems, it is in a great location close to everything and we would definitely stay again.

The check in process is TERRIBLE.
After paying for the room and having our booking confirmed we were then contacted by Alloggio to say that there is NO reception staff (despite confirmation email from Wotif saying we would be met by reception on arrival) on site. We then had to complete an online checkin which included submitting photo ID and credit card details online!!! This is unacceptable as we were not made aware of this requirement prior to booking. When I contacted Alloggio I was told we couldn't access the room without providing this online and when I then requested a refund as we were not told of these conditions I was refused.
No other properties we have stayed at have ever had this requirement.
Given the major data breaches in Australia recently, expecting guests to upload this personal data (esp photo ID) is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Handy location. A bit frustrating having no on-site staff. Stayed 2 nights and only had one small cake of soap and 2 tiny teapoon size pods of milk.

Vertical blinds were damaged so had little privacy. On a previous stay the blinds were damaged too.

I fear that operating remotely to manage this property is leading to falling standards and I have just cancelled two upcoming bookings.

The location was favourable and we had a comfortable stay. The room was a bit smaller than expected for a family suite, but the price was family friendly and it suited our needs. As there was no one at reception, trying to get a request met over the phone, was delayed and somewhat frustrating. I apprepriate the person on the phone was doing the best they could to help rectify the issue.

After waiting for 1.5 hours try to get access to the property, one of the other guests who was also waiting, found another phone number to ring (after all the others were not be answered). She was connected to an overseas call centre who was able to eventually text the room access code. . . Hence the rest of us all did the same thing.
Then after waiting for so long, we were presented with a completely over priced room, with insects crawling through the sheets, with an horrible smell. I am a very regular traveler for work and pleasure and have never had such a ridiculously over priced place. Honestly, stay in a backpackers. Donot consider this place.

I suggest you stay elsewhere.

Room was dirty, had a lot of bugs. Cook top didn’t work, at top heat was warm at best, not even hot enough to cook an egg, and one of the hot plates didn’t work altogether. TV remote was out of batteries. Bathroom had no exhaust fan.

Sadly really really bad, worst place I've stayed

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but gosh, the place was so run down and dirty. Curtains were broke, small insects was hanging around, the bathroom smelt of cat litter, the floor filthy, stains on the wall, the only thing that was clean was the linnen, towels and mattress.
I really really think the owners of Alloggio need to close this down and refurbish and open again. It was so bad. Nearly traumatic.

We enjoyed the stay. Nothing spectacular or terrible about the accommodation. Close to town but pity it didn't have a back entrance for walkers. It would have saved a long walk. The room was comfortable but better maintenance is needed as the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work and rust stains didn't improve the decor. The bedside chest drawer had a broken slide so that when my grandson pulled it out it came right out and fell on him. The access using codes and sms and email can be problematic if you don't have a smartphone as there is no one in the office at evenings at weekends.

The room was lovely and generally clean and fresh. It was warm after we cranked the air con and tidy and I love that the kitchen was fully equipped with plates and cups, saucepans etc and a full fridge. The shower and bathroom were clean and warm and we had a comfortable stay

On the down side, we had to rinse out the glasses as they were a bit grubby and the kettle looked old and rusted inside. We got dinner and had leftovers to heat in the morning but after trying the microwave on every possible setting it seemed there wasnt a setting that heated food so we had to throw out all the morning tea leftovers. the toilet flush button gets stuck in so when you flush it just runs and runs until you go back to jiggle the button back up.

Have stayed before so no big surprises. Good value, basic but functional. Now a bit over the signs threatening me with a $200 fine if I don’t leave the kitchen exactly the way I found - then finding a cupboard full of dirty glasses that look like they haven’t been properly washed for some time. Understand the reason -why- you have this policy, given you offer a whole kitchen load of stuff, but I think it encourages bad behaviour from people who just have a glass of water and a cup of coffee and badly rinse seconds before departure. This is why I risked the fine this time and left my glasses out for you to wash properly. Thankfully you haven’t fined me, but the next guest gets the clean glasses. If you can sort this detail out I will be happier to stay again.
