We had a great stay at Dreams overall, and the service really stood out. The staff as a whole was warm, attentive, and welcoming throughout our trip. Theo, Adrianna, and Francis especially went above and beyond to meet our needs and were consistently kind and helpful. There were also several other team members who made a positive impact, even if we didn’t catch all of their names.

The entertainment staff was wonderful as well—always pleasant, smiling, engaging, and creating a fun atmosphere for guests.

The food could have been better, with more variety and options available, but overall we had a very enjoyable stay and truly appreciated the excellent service from the team.

Room was not clean on arrival just bedding was changed still had old room service dishes inside. For being a fairly new property it was in very poor shape. Railings broken, lights broken, and paint peeling in general areas. This is the 5th dreams location I’ve been to and the only one I would never recommend. Was not very busy while we were there and service was still just ok not good or fast. Buffet very small and not a lot of variety. Pool was good and clean and beach was very nice, lots of waves but still spots you can swim easily

The property, beach, and kids club were amazing. Be careful booking on expedia. We booked a preferred ocean front swim out with two double beds. Apparently this room doesn't exist. When we got there we were put in a room with a King size bed and a pull out couch. We made it work but that is not what we booked. The room was also the farthest room away from the preferred club. Again we made this work but was not what was booked. This isnt the first time somwthing like this has happened to us using expedia. Also be prepared to tip the staff, especially the bar tender. Basically if you didnt have money in your hand he would not serve you. Food and service not the greatest and actually fell slightly below my already low expectations.

Everything was perfect! We stayed for 3 days, it was perfect for a quick getaway. Keep in mind it’s about 90 minutes away from the airport so be sure to book transportation services, the resort itself does not provide it but Amstar is on the property. You have access to Secrets as well so overall everything was amazing.

The hotel facilities were very nice, the beach and pool were awesome. The staff was always friendly.

The service was slow, often saying they would do something and then never doing the task (like bringing in a roller bed when they ran out of rooms that fit 3 people). The room smelled like smoke and we were told they would \"spray the room\" which wasn't helpful but also never happened. The lifeguards at the water slides were very hands off, even when a first aid issue came up under their watch. When asked for ice for the first aid issue, it never arrived.

The food wasn't good.

We have stayed at many all-inclusive and resorts - we're seasoned travelers. This place has OK accommodations ( not great) and OK food (also not great). But the service is just terrible. Waiting 30 minutes to get a drink frequently, or waiters that just done wait on you nor bring the food until you demand service. But we also had 3 infants and were assured they would have cribs for them There were no cribs the whole time - they just lied. There's just too many other nice places to stay way closer to the airport. I would never return here

Went with group. Frequrnt times service poor or non existent. We overlooked this many times during our 2 nighy stay but waking up to a stream of water coming from the bathroom ceiling at 6am on our final day was the last straw. Took 4 hours to resolve with maintenance and then spent the remainder of the afternoon being degraded by multiple supervisory staff because none of our very reasonable requests for compensation were honored. Horrible customer service. Wont be back.

Hotel is brand new . Food and staff were great . The one thing that I didn’t like was the beach . The wave of the beach is too strong . If you go to this hotel just keep in mind that you will just in the pool no beach

The resort is brand new and they don’t seem ready. The staff is clueless of what’s where, restaurant hours, and general directions. Like they have no experience or general knowledge outside of their responsibility. Made me wonder if they’ve even walked the grounds or seen a map. The food display was great but was way off. All the hot food was cold (unless it was grilled items), the cold food was at room temperature (ice cream and desserts), the mangu (smashed plantains, common dish in DR) was dried up as was the fried cheese. The airconditioning was on freeze mode which probably affected the food but also bars and general areas. People were in blankets and bundled together for body warmth and the staff even complained about it in the shopping areas. The servers brought out the wrong food at each meal and took forever to take orders. The shuttle drivers were great, poolside grills and pizza makers were great, overall staff very friendly, and the place looked great as long as you dint look closely or touched anything because it all looked like it was poor engineering and loosely held together. Not to mention it’s about 1.5 hours away from the airports.
I went 10/2025, I’d say give it a year to work out the kinks before considering this place as it is beautiful and has lots of potential with proper management.

The resort was beautiful the staff was amazing would like to mention that Nilvio was a awesome host and that Adrian and Cassandra at the pool bar are two of the best bartenders ive ever met as well as wonderful people,the only disappointment was that the resort had advertised 11 restaurants did not mention that only 2 or 3 were open each evening not all 11 daily kind of false advertising..but overall love this resort. It has potential but still a lot of unfinished rooms, facilities, and final touches. The restaurants are under staffed, the food is decent but takes forever to get. If you happen to stop by your room for an afternoon nap all you can hear is banging from the rooms being finished above. Not the experience I was expecting!!

The hotel has potential, but there were several letdowns during our stay. For starters, the buffet wasn’t open every night for dinner, and when it was, the food variety was quite limited. There was no ice cream offered — not even basic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry, which is something I think should be a must, especially for families with kids.

The rooms were comfortable and clean — no complaints there. However, the drinks were disappointing. I tried a few different mixes, and unfortunately, none were good enough to enjoy, so I ended up skipping most of the cocktails.

The overall vibe of the hotel is very quiet and relaxing, which could be a plus for those looking to completely unwind. But if you’re into ambiance, music, or more lively energy, you might get bored here. Entertainment was minimal, and the sports bar wasn’t even open every day.

Out of all the dining options, the steakhouse was the best, though I’d rate it as just “ok” — not amazing, but decent.

In summary, it’s a calm place to disconnect, but I wouldn’t return unless they improved the food, drinks, and entertainment options.

We were moved to this resort because original resort was not open in time. While this resort was nice, it lacked much to do in the evening. There was entertainment for the night owls, but not for people that go to bed earlier than the teenagers. Also, it is very spread out and hard for friend to get around, especially to eat at night. Also, the restaurants could not keep up with the people they were trying to feed. We were often told the wait would be over an hour or we would get seated and it would take over an hour to get food. The pools were nice and the bars made good drinks.

0 stars because this hotel was not ready for guests.
Thankfully I was rebooked to their sister hotel near the airport.

And yes I did receive an email weeks before arrivving telling me the hotel was not ready for guests, but who really reads their emails. I would’ve preferred getting a call and explaining they rebooked me at a different location.
So, I traveled 1.5 hours to find out Playa Esmeralda wasn’t open yet. I had to be driven back 1.5 hours back to the sister hotel (near airport- Dreams Cap Cana)

We had an inconvenience with the booking. The hotel wanted to charge me for my daughter who is still 17 years old as an adult. They said every kid over 12 years old has to pay as an adult. I had to call expedia to fix the problem after 3 hour spending my time with customer service.

Beach was full of seaweed not cleaned until last day of our trip. Cheap alcohol was served, no basic condiments such as olives and grapefruit juice. Took too long to receive our food at the restaurants so we would miss the shows. We would arrive at 7 for dinner and by the time we received dinner it was 3 hours later. Staff was friendly and tried their best to make it up to us.

The hotel is very nice and the staff was super nice ready to serve. However, the restaurants and the bars were missing the small details and were not ready for our large group, which we reserved well in advance. Some of our rooms had damaged furniture, rooms smelled and the views were subpar. And then we were charged for an upgrade, when we had paid for a specific room in advance. Not sure if we will return.

Ne demandez rien, c’est toujours non, même un expresso au petit déjeuner c’est pas possible il n’y a à pas de machine !! une table ronde pour 5 aussi trop compliqué de la dresser. Garder une des deux chambres le jour du départ jusqu’à 16h il faut attendre 24h après maintes relances pour devoir aller à la réception s’entendre dire non. Les gens sont gentils mais non formés, le service est mauvais, la nourriture médiocre.
Aux différents bars piscine ou plage pas de café, ni froid ni chaud, il faut faire le tour de l’hôtel pour aller au Dolce, jamais vu ça. Impossible de se baigner devant l’hôtel il faut aller devant l’hotel Secret car ils n’ont pas délimité de zone de baignade devant le Dreams. Donc drapeau noir tous les jours comme ça ils sont tranquilles. Quant aux soit disants 8 restaurants …on les cherche le soir : buffet (médiocre) mexicain, méditerranéen, italien (médiocre), japonais (à la carte médiocre, à la table du chef un peu mieux) le reste notamment le piano bar vous n’y avez pas accès si vous avez moins de 18 ans. Frustrants quand on a des ados de 14 et 17 ans. Ne prenez pas le supplément pour la suite vue partielle sur la mer il n’y a que la vue sur le bâtiment d’en face que vous verrez!! Assez déçus pour le prix
