Very clean rooms and bonus the hotel is almos new less than 2 years
The staff is always nice
The pool area is very clean but and this is a huge but there’s almost no umbrellas in the pool area which is really needed
The beach area is the same almost no umbrellas but at least you have all the Palmeras for shade
They should invest a little more in putting more shade in the pool
The food is good and there’s a lot of options to choose
My teenagers had a great time
I loved that they had sports options such as Kayak and Catamaran for free so that’s a really good thing
Overal is very nice hotel and we had a great time

Property is beautiful. Only complaint is about the food. Buffet and restaurant food was not good at all. One exception was dining at Atlantis which was great! Excursions was wonderful! Also, drinks were made with lowest shelf liquor and not great.

Un site accueillant, intime et où le personnel est avenant. Nous avons voyagé en famille, 6 personnes, et chacun a aimé son séjour.
Les restaurants et même le buffet étaient délicieux.
Une belle grande plage où on peut marcher, dans le calme.

Nous y retournerons assurément!

The service is terrible. They refuse to make drinks unless they are easy and fast otherwise they say they don’t have example if you ask for an iced coffee at the bar they tell you they don’t have milk or a margarita they say they don’t have tequila but they can give you beer on tap. The resort is very clean and the staff that works at the reception lobby are very nice and responsive.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Check in was smooth, but there was no toilet paper in the room when we arrived. Our room was upgraded to one with a splash pool. The beds were clean, bathroom mirror could have been a little cleaner.

The pool and beach area were great, you just have to get up early to reserve chairs. You only get one towel per day which was annoying when it would get wet and you couldn’t swap it for a dry one. Pool was nice, but hot tubs weren’t warmer than the regular water.

The pool bar was excellent. The bartenders were attentive and funny and made great drinks. Only complaint is that they would run out of a lot of ingredients (ex. Soda water). The snack bar had typical AI food (chicken, fries, pasta, pizza, salad, fruit). The fruit was great but the rest of the food could use some work. Ended up eating a lot of pasta and pizza. They only offered us one reservation at the restaurants for the entire stay, and we couldn’t book more. We ate at the Latin Fusion restaurant with 4 courses. It was better than the buffet food but not incredible.

The buffet was disappointing. Lots of option but most of it lacked flavor and seemed to be sitting out too long to be safe. Once again, ate a lot of pasta and pizza. Breakfast was the best meal with fresh omelette and smoothies. The outdoor bar was also excellent at night to sit outside and play cards. Lots of mosquitos.

Night entertainment was fun, but a little elementary.

I loved everything but the entertainment. I go out of the country for the culture not to hear American music. I guess it’s more catered toward tourist from other countries other than America. The resort food really wasn’t bad. We did have an issue with one of the people there hounding us to meet with people trying to sell us a package for vacationing with Miches that was really annoying which was why they lost the one star. Also if you are just there to relax great but there’s nothing near miches it is a up and coming place to visit so hopefully it will be more to do in the up and coming years.

I would have given 5 stars however when my room was cleaned on Friday the 13th the housekeeper took my own personal wash clothes and they were in my own personal ziplock bag anc clearly didn’t have viva monogram in them ! The staff was attentive at the restaurant,enjoyed the shopping but could use more stores or something additional when it rains to have access too !

Dear Management,

I am writing to formally complain about our stay at your resort and the extremely serious and unacceptable treatment we experienced from members of your staff.

We arrived at your resort expecting a safe, relaxing holiday. Instead, we were subjected to repeated harassment and misconduct by employees of the resort. As young guests, we were treated in a deeply inappropriate manner. Staff members touched us without consent, would not leave us alone, and filmed us without permission. This behavior was threatening, invasive, and completely unacceptable.

Most seriously, one member of our group was sexually assaulted by a staff member. This is a criminal act and a profound violation of personal safety and trust. As a direct result of the actions of your employees, our entire holiday was destroyed.

Because of what happened, we were forced to separate, move to different hotels, seek medical treatment at a hospital, and spend our time dealing with trauma instead of enjoying our vacation. No guest should ever have to experience this—especially at the hands of resort staff who are supposed to ensure safety and care.

The resort is responsible for the conduct of its employees. What occurred represents a complete failure in duty of care, security, and professional standards. We did not come to your resort to feel unsafe, harassed, or violated—we came to rest and enjoy our holiday.

Due to the severity of these events, we are requesting:
•A full refund for our stay

The room’s had a ant issue but luckily my mosquito spray worked to kill them for the time being we were there because the language barrier made it an issue to completely get a different room or the right service to get rid of the ants, but the view was amazing. The rest of my vacation was amazing.

Horrible experience. 5 restaurants, but only able to eat at the buffet for 5 days because they won’t let you reserve ala carts even though they were never full. Buffet was constantly running out of items and crowded. Food was horrible. They only stock room mini fridge on arrival day. Housekeeping was horrible and had to ask for items everyday-didn’t always replace toilet paper or the towels they took. Pool is very underwhelming and swim up bar was seldom used by guest because it is its own tiny pool. Felt like staff didn’t want to be there. Bartenders are slow and understaffed and always had to wait for drinks. WiFi was spotty at best. Secluded beach was a positive along with included kayaks/paddle boards.

The airport was quite far from the resort, so make sure to book your own transportation. The front lobby is deceiving. The food is not good… You can only book 2 dinner reservations during your stay, which was not communicated prior to booking. The staff were kind, but clearly overworked and underpaid. Additionally, you have staff hounding you to become members (they are impossible to ignore). This is one of those “read the reviews before booking”!

Food was bad, not all inclusive like we know everything was limited and bartenders take forever to make drinks sometimes there would be 3 bartenders and 4 people waiting for a drink and it could take up to 15 mins to get a drink when they decided to acknowledge you.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Viva Miches. The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. The shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked well. The restaurants were great — the buffet had different themes each day, and there are four additional restaurants on site. We were able to book the Mediterranean and Atlantic restaurants, and both were very enjoyable. A special thank you to Daniel and Deivi at the Atlantic restaurant — they truly went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.

We also did a kayaking trip and my son loved it. The staff throughout the resort were friendly and helpful. The bars had plenty of drink options, and overall the food and amenities exceeded our expectations. My son even said he wants to come back someday.

If I had to suggest improvements, it would be nice if the swimming pool hours were extended a bit later, and adding photos of the menu items at the à la carte restaurants could help guests know what to expect.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

Hard working staff, good air conditioner in rooms. Food is fresh but preparation and choices are poor. Would never go there again because of mosquitos problem and sand flies. Hotel doesn’t make attempts to spray or fumigate the property at least the pool area with annoying flies. Used OFF mosquito repellent entire canister within first day but it didn’t save me from sand flies The only store on the property sell mosquito repellent for over $23 US dollars. Visited DR over 30 times- never ever had such a terrible experience.

“Very good location, lots of staff, but a few times we came across a lazy shift at the bar, or they just wanted tips. We didn’t notice this with anyone else. Super friendly and very attentive in the buffet. Worth noting the cake they gifted for the birthday, as well as the complimentary sweets in the room and champagne, plus they decorated the room with balloons. The rooms are clean, the linens are decent, and we have no complaints about the kitchen either

Rooms was beautiful and staff was great. Especially Darling. He was great. he was the bartender at the swim up bar. Noelia, Antonio were all great. Many more that I cannot remember My different rating was because of management. We stayed for 3 days and we could only make reservations for 1 night. The other nights we had to eat at the buffet restaurant which was good. We wanted to eat at a nice place. When we complained to Juste, from guest services, she stated she would call me back but we have already left the resort and we are still waiting for the call back. Place was to go with family and food was great. They were also doing upgrades but resort just opened. I didnt understand that.

Biggest disappointment ever. Check-in was a nightmare because they mixed up reservations (didn’t bother checking first names on our passports). AC in our room didn’t work, and despite hours of complaints, we only got a fan after arguing. It wasn’t fixed until the next day.

Rooms look nice but showers flood the floor. Buffet was average with dirty glassware and inconsistent service. Staff often ignored us once they realized we didn’t speak Spanish. One chef even made rude “jokes” about the food being cat or donkey meat.

This is nowhere near a 5-star resort. I wanted to leave the first day. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

This was the worst resort experience of my life. We booked 4 rooms under 3 reservations and check-in was a mess. It took over 10 minutes to explain that two names on separate bookings were different people. Unlike other guests who were welcomed, helped with luggage, and given a tour, no one assisted us. A security guard simply walked us to our rooms.
The air conditioning nightmare began immediately. We were told it “just takes time” to cool, but hours later the rooms were over 30°C. Only then did staff admit the A/C had been broken for a while. We were promised fans several times with excuses like “no more fans” or “on the way,” until a group of Spanish-speaking guests complained and someone opened a back room to hand them out.
One room’s internet didn’t work at all, and staff did absolutely nothing to fix it.
Our front door didn’t close properly, and after complaining, we returned to find it wide open. Staff dismissed it with “sometimes it happens” and told us to use the safe. No apology, no room change.

Cleanliness was poor. Showers weren’t cleaned or draining, and dishes were washed where mop buckets were rinsed. If you don’t speak Spanish or Italian, expect to be ignored. Food at the “a la carte” restaurants was the same or worse than the buffet, and despite “full bookings,” dining rooms were half empty.
We contacted Viva Wyndham customer care multiple times, only to get the same copy-paste promise that the resort would reply “soon.” Now back from our trip, nothing.

The only good thing was the beach without algae. Very unpleasant experience with unprofessional and unfriendly staff. Dirty utensils/plates/cups. Buffet area and bathrooms dirty and trouble with toilets flushing. Unable to get any restaurant reservation since day one on our 7 day trip nothing available even when going to customer service everyday. Most of the staff was rude which is the most unpleasant part about it. I can count with one hand the ones I saw with a smile on their faces. Multiple power loss during our stay. It is a very humid and hot area so we felt the no AC at night.

En la vida nada es perfecto pues nadie lo es...Siempre va a haver cosas en las cuales mejorar. Escoji mi estadia en este hotel basandome en varias cosas que buscaba y Viva Miches lo tenia...Hotel nuevo con aire frio y cuarto limpio, Montana, playa sin oleaje y sin sargaso, tranquilidad pero a la vez diversion ...y el hotel me dio todo todo lo que buscaba. Siempre vas a encontrar algo que comer, la bebidas para mi estuvieron ricas y refrescantes. NO Ponen cerveza en la nevera como dicen algunos que para mi no es importante y si te dan una botella de champana o vino y chocolates de bienvenida( para mi gusto mucho mas fino.)
Gente atenta amable, que te dan buen servicio si descansar dan su todo y eso vale...en Punta Cana dando propina te sirven con mala cara ...el trato jamas sera como el de Miches ...todos los empleados merecen propina pues no paran de trabajar...quede impresionada.( si de viernes a domingo se llena y los huespedes muestran poca considerasion dejando basos y platos tirados...por todos lados....pero vez a los empleados como esclavos recogiendo)... Quizas no haya cupo para todos los restaurantes y haya que mejorar eso pero tampoco me molesto.. Mi familia y yo quedamos encantados volveria de nuevo.
Vi tantas comentarios negativos que me preocupaba ir...pero MICHES me resivio con mucho carino.

My review is mixed but this place has so much potential and fails in so many ways.
Check-in Process (slow and provides so little info)
A la carte restaurants (great service/amazing food (quantity of food tiny) but making reservations is impossible) told us only available last 2 days of our 7 day stay.
Buffet Restaurant: food was excellent/service so slow (food best when first opens for lunch)
Bar: Worst liquor I ever had at an all inclusive, unsure what it is but it ain't good. Gives bad hang overs . The bartenders only know how to make drinks on menu.
Location: off the beaten path and is like an untouched paradise (water/sand beautiful no sargassum time of visit.)
Cafe: worst service and worst coffee. They were closed during open times for cleaning. Cleanest Cafe I ever seen that never is open for business.
Entertainment team: is amazing. During the day and at night. Lots of fun activities. Very youthful crew.
Would I come back here, maybe they really need to work on their hospitality. One example is waiting to fill my cup with water from the machine at the bar and a worker wearing white shirt (pool guy) cut me off too fill his water cup.
A worker by the Pool Pizzeria bathrooms made an inappropriate sexual comment to my wife that she ignored. At check-out the girl at the desk made an inappropriate comment asking if my wife was my daughter. Seems as if lots of hate towards mixed couples at the resort because of ignorant and untrained staff.

This Resort is family friendly, the food is great, i love that everything is close by but it needs more entertainment. Every night and day everything is repetitive so it gets boring. Overall I'll guve it 8.5/10 because i went to relax and i did get to do that since its not much to do. The crowd is more seniors and families with kids.

It's 9:13 local time. I decided to leave the review ahead of checking out since housekeeping just opened my room door with their keys while I was undressing! It's no where near check out time! This is the worst resort I've visited. The staff is rude. During check in, I forgot to ask a question and Jennifer (front desk area), stated \"No, I'm busy!\" The bellhop was extremely rude on June 19th/6pm taking luggage to the room. I wear a knee brace. He sighed and continuously looked back at me as if he was agitated I walked a bit slower. Generally, food isn't as important when I'm traveling. However, everyone in my family struggled to find decent food so we ate a ton of fruit. They did not like the food at all. We were told to make reservations for other restaurants on the property, but the reservations were filled upon arrival day 1. Staff appeared to assist and help those they chose to. This is the 3rd resort I've visited this summer, the absolute worst and calling this even a 3 star resort is a stretch!

The food was also decent. There are many options everyday at the buffet and if you want fancier, each restaurant offers something different. 10/10 recommend!!

☠️⚠️It is NOT a five-star hotel BY NO means at all.
The food at the buffet was always cold and just OK.
No top-shelf alcohol in the whole place.
6 ppl from our party had digestional issues for days.
Management is irresponsible and does not care about customer complaints or SAFETY
My 5 and 8-year-old niece and nephew were let out of the kids\" club without anyone from our family signing them out. We found them by the pool alone. Thank god we came back from the beach on time! Not only could they have drowned in the pool, they also could have been abducted. I did speak to the manager the kids\"club/entertainment.
HE SAID HE will address this and get back to me. I'm still waiting for a response! I also called corporate and waiting for a response from them as well.
We had a big family event 70+ people
That is why did not leave immediately!
This is unacceptable!
Go to a place that values you, your vacation needs and your Safety.
The staff (workers) were great and did the best they could under terrible management.
Shame on you Wyndham!

The hotel is new & beautiful. The location is secluded there is nothing to do outside the hotel only the excursion that are offered exclusively by the hotel. Food is not good at buffet or snack bar. For the ala cart restaurants you can only reserve 3 days in advance good and bad depending on how many days you are staying I was only able to try the Mediterranean restaurant in a 5 day stay. The staff is very nice & attentive but some times very slow and no the hotel was not packed. Entrainment at all times was great.

For a new property there should be higher standard amenities. There is no shower door so all the water comes out the shower onto the bathroom floor. There was no trash can in the rooms. The bathrooms in common areas lacked of water in the sinks. Water pressure was very faint.

Access to have concierge was none. During check in time there was only one bell boy on site. Front office staff very rudely told us we had to wait. Pools and jacuzzi had no hand rails to hold on to . Staff is what made the experience nice.

I went to Miches Wyndham in May 2025, my Overall experience was good. The resort was a good size, very clean, still fairly new. The food was decent lots of variety.**Be careful what airline you book with as some airlines do not provide a shuttle service and this will end up costing you alot. The hotel does not provide a shuttle. Viva by Wyndham owns alot of the excursions, overpriced and horrible food. We did Saonan Island. Beautiful, Viva owned the boat and made the arrangements. There was a 5$ fee to access the Island that was not included in the 149 USD$ cost per person for the trip. They made so much money the right thing to do is to cover the island fee and serve proper food. They served bland food, cold rice, cold meet, dry pasta salad with no taste.

Otherwise it was an ok experience. Relaxing. The shows were amazing. The daily activities were repetitive every single day was the same Animation activity , could use different activities. Some animators didn’t seem like they wanted to do the activities which didn’t help.

Pools were nice and big, only critique was there were no ramps by the stairs to enter and exit the pools. Only one walk in and walk out accesible area again without a ramp. I had to help out a senior get out of the pool as they had nothing to support their body weight should they want to get in and out of the pool. Not the safest, even myself since there was no ramp it wasnt always evident that there were stairs inside the pool causing a hazard. 6/10

Property is good is new of course the pool and the beach are great but the staff lacks training very bad service and food was bad serve same thing all the time apparently they were not ready for the amount of people at resort no restaurant available according to them.
Probably in the future they be ready for better service

The staff on the property were fantastic. They made you feel welcomed and tried to accommodate any need you requested. However, I have dietary allergies and I was very restricted in what I could eat. The app was clear that there was various gluten options. This was not the case once we arrived. I was restricted to the same food for breakfast and only a chocolate chip muffin. They did not have any bread

Mi visita fue por trabajo, no por placer. El wifi es terrible, mala conexión, tarde 40 minutos en enviar un correo de 20 MB. Los restaurantes, muy mala atención, no había quien te asignara mesa, así que, tienes que buscarte la vida. Una vez que encontré mesa, para desayunar, al levantarme para servirme de comer en el buffet, al regresar a mi mesa, me encontré con la sorpresa que ya estaba ocupada (esto paso mas de 2 veces) por lo que es bastante frustrante que no haya buen servicio.Mi primer habitación (si, tuve un cambio de habitación una vez que me queje del ruido) muy ruidosa, esto debido a que estaba situada justo a un lado del lugar de eventos, pase por recepción y les solicite ayuda para que me movieran de ese sitio, me cambiaron a otra habitación, eso si, solicite una habitación con mejor conexión a internet, no lo obtuve, lo que si obtuve fue una pésima habitación con mucho ruido por el tema de aire acondicionado, pero esto ya no podría ser mejorado puesto que, es por el sistema que cuenta el hotel.
Muy mala experiencia, acorte mi estancia, y pese a que di aviso un día antes en la recepción del hotel, cobraron toda la estancia. Eso si, gracias a Expedia obtuve el reembolso de esas noches que no utilice. En general, pésima experiencia.

The Resort was nice but lacked many things...see list below
1. Bar/poor quality alcohol

3. Food was bland and no local heritage to the area.
4. The 4 restaurant at the resort were bad, bad food and none of the rest. had a steak knife....REALLY ?!!!!

Everyone has their own opinions and expectations. So here are mine.
The resort itself was beautiful and clean.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Be careful if your feet are wet anywhere whether at pool or room as it becomes very slippery and you may fall.
The staff were very friendly and seemed happy to serve you. The only one problem, that it language barrier. They need to learn English. They work very hard for very little so please tip them.
The food was adequate. It was never hot and barely warm. Being from United States, I found very little that I like. The restaurants are almost impossible to get a reservation unless you go to guest services and complain. I hate to complain. Even them some from my group weren't all that impressed.
I never got in one.
The pool was wonderful and their staff were eager to engage you in activities.
So to sum it up, we had fun being there with friends, weather was great, beautiful setting but I will not be going back. There is very little to do however I do suggest letting the crew take you sailing and please tip them. Other people may think it's perfect.
This is just my opinion.

Cons: Property is secluded so you are not bothered by sellers on the beach, clean rooms, small hotel setting so no issues with chairs, no lines for the elevator, no lines for the buffet; Jennifer at front desk is the best and is very helpful!
Pros: bartenders need training!!! If you order a drink from multiple bartenders - they would taste different; employees attitude is not the greatest - you could ask for more yoghurt at breakfast and hear “no more.. tomorrow”, supply chain issue - constantly an issue with running out of something: tonic water, vermouth or multiple other things, pillows are horrible and we had to sleep on the folded towel not to have a neck pain; murky water in the ocean - multiple rivers there and water is not blue or see thru at all; only few employees know English so be prepared to explain on your fingers.

We enjoyed our stay. Pros - new resort, great pool and beach, fun shows each night, friendly staff
cons - distance from airport, some things still being worked on, but wasn't a bother to us, smaller compared to other resorts and restaurants had to be reserved at midnight 48 hrs ahead of time.

Nice setting in the area. Good food and clean rooms. Staff
in dining area fast with service.
Things that could be improved. No tissue in rooms. No wastepaper basket in room just small one in bathroom. I'm covered in insect bites. Don't know if I got them by the ocean or pool area. I few of the people got them that I was with.

We stayed one week in March/2025 and my wife and I had an absolutely amazing time!! On other trips often by the end of the 5th or 6th day we are ready to head home, but honestly we both could have stayed at this resort at least another week. If we didn't have to come home, we would have stayed longer. This resort is VERY well run (managed), the staff are very friendly and seem very happy, the beach is beautiful (you can walk a long way and there are no other resorts using this beach), the main buffet is very very good (lots of choice in all categories of food, and it is all very delicious), and there is another smaller beach buffet that is also delicious and super convenient. In addition to the 2 buffets, there are 4 restaurants - we were able to book into 2 of them (Oriental and Latin) but could not get booked into the other 2 (Atlantis (Seafood) or Mediterranean due to lack of available space)... both the Oriental and Latin restaurants were excellent. Honestly, this resort is excellent - Loved it!
