Was an absolutely amazing stay. I’d describe it as a 3.5-4 star hotel. Has all the ammenities and niceness to it that you want and a fantastic value. The foods delicious, the staff are the most amazing part. Will definitely be coming back

This place is fine. The beach is beautiful and the owner is accommodating. However, the rooms had an unusual smell that didn’t go away. The restaurant had a wide variety of food but none of the things we tried were great. Just passable. The pool was well kept and the security guards were great at keeping the solicitors away (there were constantly people approaching us on the beach but the guards kept them away on property). It was very difficult to get to the hotel but they do offer a shuttle from the airport that is a better price than the taxis.

We had a very relaxing 6 nights at the Double A. The hotel is not the fanciest place in Nungwi, and could do with a little bit of a facelift, but the rooms we’re comfortable and very clean, and the staff were exceptional. We would definitely visit again.

Overall the staff was very nice. The property is nice. There’s only a few rooms that actually have a beach view due to the very narrow piece of beach in front of the hotel.

We spent four nights at the hotel before staying at a large, expensive all-inclusive resort. After the all-inclusive, we came back to Double A, which we preferred. We enjoyed the personal service, being steps from the beach and the swimming pool that was shaded by beautiful flowering trees. The breakfasts which were included were excellent. The bartenders, chefs and waitstaff were all friendly and attentive.The dining area overlooks the ocean and the food was delicious. There is also a pool table that is free to use. We felt very safe and well cared for during our stay.

Great location on the beach with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Staff is friendly making our stay memorable. One issue was corrected immediately. We were able to take their awesome boat for a snorkeling tour. Recommend.

Highly recommend this hidden GEM right on Nungwi beach hidden along with the other many hotel that are much more expensive and less personable. We easiley booked EXPEDIA all inclusive with airfare and breakfast, however they also have packages with other meal times. Their customer service when communicating or asking questions by email or WhatsApp was great. They have rooms on the ground floor and up 3 stories with beautiful views of the ocean or the gardens. Aprox. 60 min from Zanzibars internationl airport this hotel named Double A Nungwi Beach is gated and secure. You are greeted with smiling faces, cool hand towels that is refreshing, and handed a glass of tasted hibiscus juice. Ready for hotel tour and then shown to our room. Clean and always has hot water. Lovely decorated and the bed is displaying the beauty of their gardens.

Actual Nightmare ... they charged the same as a 4 star hotel but this is really like a trailer park, aircon took 8 hours to cool the room and didnt work for most of the time, rooms are next to a generator which is very noisy, terrible smell from bathrooms like sewage, cheap mosquito net and bad lights ...good location on the beach but accomodation horrible and restaurant and breakfast v sad

I encountered a problem becaise the description of the room (sea view) is misleading..The view was from the balcony and it was only a partial view. I had high expectations of being able to see the sea from my bed. That was definitely not possible. However, the dound of the ocean was a delight. I went to bed and arose with this soothing sound.

We had an 8 night stay at this lovely resort. Our rooms were on the beach and beside the pool. The rooms were fab and were cleaned every day. The food was good. All excellent. However, the main selling point of this hotel is the staff. We had wonderful friendly waiters - Emanuel, Mohammed, Erik, Abdul and Said - who provided excellent service. We would highly recommend Double A.

What a great choice! Absolutely beautiful setting right on the beach. Treated too well throughout our stay, lol. The staff are lovely folks who were such a pleasure! Super accommodating...spent my birthday here and they made it super special, even baking me a delicious cake! The bed was a bit too firm for me but, I find that to be the case in most other countries. The owners also need to tweak their soup/salad/starter prices, as it's overpriced compared to other places along the beach, depriving the staff of the tips they deserve. Amazing place! Highly recommend!!

Bon emplacement et bon rapport qualité prix
L’hôtel est directement sur la plage. À marée haute, les vagues frappent le mur en bas du restaurant! Très bel espace bar surplombant la mer. Les marées ne sont pas trop importantes à Nungwi donc on peut se baigner n’importe quand. Sur la pointe de l’île donc beaux couchers et levers de soleil. Le personnel de l’hôtel était très attentif et m’a aidée à organiser des visites (snorkeling, visite d’une ferme d’épices) sans toutefois mettre de pression pour que je réserve avec eux. C’est mieux que de devoir passer par les trop nombreux beach boys qui ratissent la plage! Ma chambre était superbe et rénovée, avec vue sur l’océan. Climatiseur pas bruyant. Bonne nourriture - les recettes locales bien meilleures que les plats internationaux!

Il nostro soggiorno è stato ottimo, la struttura è sul mare e ha una piccola piscina, dove ci sono alcuni lettini per prendere il sole. Il personale è attento e cortese e fa del suo meglio per non farti mancare nulla. C'è il generatore per evitare di rimanere al buio durante i frequenti Black out dell'isola. La colazione è varia e completa. Avevamo una stanza in cui l'aria condizionata era rotta e il giorno dopo ci hanno prontamente cambiato. La camera era pulitissima.
Cosa potrebbe essere meglio? Avrei dato 5 stelle se non fosse stato che ho visto il direttore sgridare le persone dello staff e in generale mettergli ansia. Mi è spiaciuto per loro perché penso che non lo meritino.
