A Well Located Value for Money Hotel in Calangute!

The Zone Connect by Park has a very good and convenient location in Calangute; easy to access yet away from the madning crowd with lush green surroundings. The hotel seems to be recently taken over by The Park group; so needs some sprucing up, specially the interiors of the rooms. The Hotel team was very efficient and courteous and services are good. Did not experience any F&B so cannot comment on it. Overall a Value for Money Hotel.

Great Find

Booked Azzure by Spree online and wasn't sure what to expect. It exceeded our expectations! It was situated in a quiet street about a 30 minute walk from the beach. This didn't bother us as the beach in Calanganute if very, very busy. The rooms were large, air-conditioned, TV and had a great internet reception. An in-room kettle enabled you to make a tea or coffee and sit on the large balcony to enjoy drinking it. Breakfast was a feast. Eggs cooked any way you wished were made then and there for you as was the masala dosa. We also enjoyed the \"happy hour\" for drinks at the bar situated near the pool. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful.

Great Trip To Goa!

Absolutely loved our stay in Goa and this hotel definitely added to that. It was easy to check into. Food was good and the pool was great. Really liked the staff as well, especially Tej at the pool shack. This trip was very memorable

Nice Hotel

Over all experience in Azure is satisfactory. But food quality was not good and there is no travel desk and staff is bit slow in answering your question. None of the staff take responsibility to give information about the sight seeing places in Goa and even they will not book cab for drop to panaji.

It was Ok

First of all, it is not a 4 star hotel. I preferred this hotel over leela but it was no where near it. It is little far from calangute market and beach area with not a whole lot of transportation options which makes you rent an automobile.

However, the management and staff was really good, especially the folks in the restaurant and bar. They take really good care of their customers.

Overall it was an OK experience but please make sure not to book it if you're looking for a real 4 star experience.

What a wonderful hotel and decent location. Near enough to restaurants, shops and beach, but away from real tourist areas at the same time. The food was ok, although maybe not the freshest and the staff were a little slow at times (Even when we were the only ones to be served) The room was amazing, light, big and clean. Loved the Bar area and a good range of toiletries. Breakfast was good, a slightly different selection daily and lovely omelettes made to order. There was a bit of noise from screaming children and a Cockerel that woke us up every morning!

Not for beach bumming!

Except of sleeping comforts, the hotel was a massive let down. The checkin process was chaotic, for some reason the staff wanted to keep our passports with them to complete some forms later on. It took a lot to convince them that we are not comfortable leaving our passports behind and they should do whatever they need to do with them there and then. The hotel was kind to offer free 10 min head massage coupons but gave us 1 hour to redeem them -- hence the coupons were a waste. The room was decently sized but the view from the room was horrendous and supposedly we were in an upgraded room -- the best they had. I did request a change in room but no one got back to me with an offer to shift us. The biggest let downs however were the swimming pool and the distance from the beach. The beach is at least 20 minutes away and the walk is through busy roads. Hence was massively disappointed since one comes to goa for the beaches and not to stay indoors. The swimming pool is nothing like they show in their photos. There are no pretty white loungers and is really smal and busy. I remember booking the room with complimentary breakfast, but while check in they said I did not have breakfast included -- it was fine though because we then got to have a lie in. The beds were comfortable and the toiletries were good quality. I went with my partner and would not recommend this hotel if you want to be chilling in the beach.

stayed for 7 nights and it was reasonably pleasant. Must say the staff were really great, nothing was too much trouble for them. My wife was ill and they got a doctor out late at night to come to the room. Breakfast is OK, but no A/C in the main eating area. The other guests were running a DJ or something at night around the pool area until early mornings, really annoying & loud.

There were also frequent power cuts, but they lasted for a few minutes only.

I thought it was value for money.

Restaurant experience can be improved. Same menu everyday makes it little boring for people who stay for longer duration. Room Service needs improvement, its very slow. Rest all, its a perfect hotel and good to go with.

No Travel Desk !!

We stayed here in the month of Sep 2014.
1.Though the hotel website mentions that it has a travel desk i did not find any in the hotel. When you approach the front desk for Sightseeing Tours / Car Rental etc , very casually they mention you to go out and have those unpleasant talks with the unknown / random taxi guys waiting outside who exploit the guests.
2. While booking neither the Website nor the Hotel Page mentioned that all the recreational facilities like Health Club/Spa were closed and under maintenance.
3. Rest everything as for a boutique hotel the experience was pleasing. The in house 24 Hour restaurant TREAT serves fresh and delicious food !!! Cleanliness and Comfort was up to the mark !!

Shows you get what you pay for in Goa

This was our first hotel in Goa, staying for 3 nights and we thought it was lovely.
There was a small army of staff so the service was excellent and the guys were all really friendly.
The breakfast had a nice mix of Indian and Western choices and the evening meal we had there was up there with some of the best we had in Goa. Now we have other places to compare it to, the prices are quite high for Goa, but the quality is superior so I thought it very good value.
It's also about 15 minutes walk from the beach, so convenient enough but far enough so that the hotel area is quiet and there are loads of nice places to eat in between.

Good time with our friends!

We booked the hotel together with our friends (2 couples) and enjoyed 1 week in the hotel. The staff is really very friendly and they are doing their best to reach to international hotel chains standards, but of course there is still a fair difference.
Nevertheless, the public area is very well maintained, wifi is available, BF is not really very international, more with local flavors but at least an egg station is available which is very good.

A little gym is available (2 machines only) and a small Spa. The sun beds should be replaced and the area should be different arranged. The Restaurant should have some outside sitting area and the bar area should get new tables, chairs and table cloth (old, burned and about to break down).

Chose the hotel based on positive reviews but was very disappointed throughout stay.

Partner and I got food poisoning when we went to the hotel restaurant. Took 2 hours to check out. Rooms weren't adaquately cleaned, and breakfast room was often full, so some people had to stand whilst eating.

Never again.

Very neat & Pleasant.

The hotel room was lovely and very neat. It even had the very pleasant ambience eventhough the room was average small (enough for 2 persons) . Only the cons is the food purchases via hotel is quite expensive. So plan accordingly if you need to be economical.

Stay would be really great.

The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating. The hotel itself was really nice and the beds were comfy. Room service was reasonably priced.
If staying for new years, note they have a buffet dinner that begins late and they will charge you in full for it (whether or not you eat it). The hotel staff did go out of their way to ensure that we understood the charge and were really friendly about it.
If travelling in and around the hotel during the holiday season, do note that the taxis are expensive and the traffic can be a pain.
The hotel taxi service: be sure to confirm the price a few times. We had an unpleasant driver who tried to gauge us & drove away with one of us still inside his vehicle. Bit of a dangerous situation! The front desk was very helpful in dealing with the situation though.

Not a very pleasant stay

I booked the hotel looking at reviews on sites like trip advisor but I got a surprise once I reached the hotel. The rooms were really small as compared to what was shown on the website and the floors were not very clean. It was difficult to walk bare foot in your own room. The television was not working properly and we had to call the staff 3-4 times to fix it. Though the staff was very courteous and helpful, its just that the facility was not at all at par what I had expected or paid for.

Hotel was a little walk from town and 15 minute walk from beaches but it was away from incessant horn blowing and noise
Calangute is a manic town with traffic and shop/stall owners constantly harassing.

Really nice hotel

The staff was prompt, helpful and was a pleasure staying here. Serene surroundings and pretty well appointed hotel. The one drawback that I faced was that the cell phone connectivity was poor. I had to go to the balcony to make my calls. otherwise no complaints whatsoever.

Value for Money with Superb Facilities..

I went there for 5 Nights with my wife and we enjoyed a lot everything about the hotels specially morning Breakfast and Wifi Internet. Rooms are very well clean and staff are very much cooperative and kind. For us it was a comfortable trip.Free from Noise pollution and free from disturbing elements.. Thanks to Azzure, Goa.

Nice place to hang on

It was great place to stay, but I was made to wait for 2 hours as I checked in early and told me to wait for 2 hours so that I would get a pool view room. But finally i got a room which even dint have a balcony. Hotel workers should more customer friendly. Excellent breakfast, need to add some more additional list to the lunch and dinner menu.

Great Place to Stay

It depends on what you want on your holiday. If you want a quiet place which is a max of 10 minutes away (by bike) from the hustle and bustle of Calangute, go for it. The area around the hotel is quiet and peaceful. If you plan to let your hair down and go beach bumming, there are other good hotels in close proximity to Calangute beach. All said and done, we wanted to unwind from a hectic work schedule and Azzure worked well with us.

Me and my family had nice time. Room type: Junior Suite was perfect for my family of four with two kids under 5 years of age. Junior Suite has small attached room with folding sofa-bed which helped.
Our little requested were quickly addressed by hotel staff, thank you for that.

Ok for a day or two. Avoid if staying longer

The only nice thing about this Hotel is the location (if you have your own transportation means). The room is cleaned only if you tell them to. Laundry service is a joke, took 36 hours + 3 phone calls + in person visit to the reception to get my clothes back. As other have mentionned there is no TV in English.

Perfect place for couples

I never thought this hotel would give so much ambience and comfort. The superior room that I booked was sold out for that day. I was given a MINI- SUITE ROOM which is more expensive than a superior.

Breakfast buffet was awesome, Pool, Poolside bar, everything was so perfect and the hotel is very near to candolim, calangute, Baga and Tito's.

Awesome hotel at reasonable price

We stayed for 3 nights in April 2013 and the stay was very comfortable. We were provide an early swift check-in since we reached early at around 9 am while check-in time being 2 pm. Staff is very courteous, hotel in good condition and very tastefully decorated, fabulous breakfast buffet (fresh squeezed juices, live counter for Eggs, Pancakes and Dosa, good mix of South Indian, North Indian and Continental breakfast items along with fruits, salad bar and what not!!). The pool and open bar is great after a day on the beach. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good stay near Calangute beach in a medium size hotel.

- The suite room towards the road offer no privacy. You will be not be able to open your balcony curtains at anytime. - Overall quality of the room is average for 4.5k. A very small bath with no tables in the entire suite. - the ac in the room made a whooshing noise and never was attended to. -The pool is an overgrown bathtub. - Pool side rooms which is also close to the bar has thrashy music playing till late in the night. All the best trying to sleep. - No valet parking. No designated place for parking for guests. An open sites with coconut trees is where I was asked to park and walk back . - they are a supposed to be a star hotel in goa but do not believe in providing guests with beach towels. - some staff in the hotel think they are the royal birth children of some Portuguese king, they have absolutely no sense of customer service and argue when feedback is given. - When you step out of the room, the freaking fridge turns off along with the rest of the appliances. When U get back from wherever, you will have some warm water, beer, cola waiting for you. - The cleaning staff can't figure out if they cleaned my room or not.
Overall - I have been to a few other 3 star hotels for close to half the price that was much much better than this one. Definitely a thumbs down from me.

Really nice n clean hotel. Too good for the price. Also upgraded us for free. A little expensive but Good food. Upgraded our room without us even asking. The only problem was they did not give us a late check out. Though we checked in at 9.30 pm the prev night.

My review on Azzure

I think the hotel has a nice fresh feel to it. Kind of reminds you of the Holiday Inn colors and look and feel. The pool is a little small though and i am sure if a lot of people want to dunk in, it will be crowded. The rooms are clean, well designed, and spacious. The amenities are as per standard though the cable TV doesnt have English movie and entertainment channels--which i think is sort of cheap. The location is on the inside but actually saves you time if you regularly want to get into Baga and beyond. The food is pretty good too with the breakfast spread appealing to most pallets i reckon. Overall i liked the fact that they let me extend my check-out and the staff was very courteous and helpful. 5 points from my side to this place.

Hotel was fine.... Be aware that the locate on the map in this website is wrong!The hotel is new, so it is clean..... The staff are extremely helpful.They blast techno music at breakfast and at the pool area. The clean the rooms daily but they dont seem to clean them very well. We had to remind them everyday that we were 4 prs. so we needed 4 towels. the sofaBEd that they provide is hard as a rock(not kidding). Overall is a nice hotel with a very helpful staff.....
