Our second stay at this property, the personal remembered us from before and they looked after us. There are a lot of people to mention but highlighting some of those fantastic guys who looked after us where Miraz the chef who looked after all our culinary needs, Yogesh, mustafa and srijita looking after us at breakfast. Vijay and all at the pool area looking after us. All the cleaning staff were amazing. Had a great 11days at the property Krishna the manager was attentive to all our needs. Plus all the support staff were great. Will definitely visit again as location is perfect.

This hotel was amazing, lovely atmosphere and amenities and the room was a great size! Rooms cleaned daily and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The breakfast is great too, it’s a buffet but with a range of made to order food including pancakes, waffles and omelets! The staff were so friendly, especially Bahurim in reception, who checked us in and we would catch-up with and get recommendations from during our stay when passing through reception! Would definitely recommend!

Property is good, well maintained, has a good pool and a game room for adults and kids. Rooms are big and balcony is also spacious. But service and policies are not 5 star like. Mini bar was empty, staff was overworked. The nearest beach is atleast 2 kms far i.e. 30 mins walk. Room dining food is average but breakfast is okay.

The room was amazing!! We had the 2 bedroom suite. It was incredibly spacious and clean. The main bedroom was even larger than the 2nd room. Each of the bathrooms was clean. The staff was attentive. The breakfast was delicious. This hotel was not on beach directly but was right by the market and it made it fun to walk around. The only negative was the lights would go in and out but for a split second each time -

Le Meridian Calangute is excellent

We had an unforgettable stay at Le Meridien Calangute. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of excellent. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a welcome drink and even offered an early check-in, along with the option to store our bags when we had to step out. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The staff, particularly Johngphe, Chuba, and the rest of the front desk team, were incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic spread, and the restaurant staff provided exceptional service. We’re already looking forward to returning and staying longer next time!

Checked in there was blood on the duvet and bed sheets, complained took a day to rectify and then they had the audacity to asm on at check out how was the stay besides the blood on the sheets. Restaurant food was ok service absolutely sucks, staff constantly buzzing around asking if everything is ok clearly for wanting a tip. Housekeeping literally stands outside your door waiting when u are about to check out again for tips. 4 days the place did my head in next time will shell out that little extra and go TAJ where services are as they should be. Blood on sheets is disgusting, clearly they dont actually always change sheets between customers.

Check in staff at lobby were extremely rude and condescending, they attempted to downgrade our rooms which were originally booked on the prior to visit their attitude was unprofessional and upsetting. Pool side staff were also rude and disrespectful. Otherwise the room service staff who were responsible for cleaning rooms and laundry were excellent, they are the reason that I am not giving a 1 star review.

Drinking water bottle were glass and one of the bottle was broken which cut my son hand. He was lucky that while opening the bottle it cut his hand and he did not drink from that bottle which might have small broken pieces of that glass. No compensation was given for this mishap too.

Staff was amazing. They really made the stay amazing. More so the restaurant staff truly hit the mark making our stay amazing—Moumita- Assisrant food Bev manager was so accommodating and made anything we liked.. truly amazing. They even made a cake and scribbled bonvoyage on plate. Such a great touch!

They also had best toilet paper in India. Everywhere else paper was so hard. Theirs was so soft.

The staff at this hotel was excellent and we want to recognize Isha at the front desk who was also a concierge and manageress. Isha exceeded our expectations for providing excellent customer service and attention to detail.She gave us dining suggestions for lunch and dinner and called taxis when we needed one. We were a group of 6 and when we needed a big taxi, she made sure the right one arrived. Accolades to the team at Le Meridien and to Isha.

I liked it overall, however, I haven’t traveled or stayed in five star hotels in India, so I don’t have anything to compare it with. Having said that the service was good. The food was OK, pretty busy at breakfast time. When I checked in, I found hair around the wash basin. if they really want to improve, they might want to concentrate on cleaning their rooms a little better.

Well, the hotel is very convenient to major shops and essential requirements. However the staff at the reception area do not really coordinate well on the check in and check out procedures. Also the music at the pool is too loud and disturbs the rest of the guests who are not at the pool area. Over all the hotel is okay. As not expected from the Le Meriden chain of hotels. Hope this will be helpful to amned some changes.

Over an average property… Not sure if it’s worth the money that we paid.

Typical 4 star hotel. Medium-size pool, small gym and facilities.

The hotel is in need of a renovation.

Carpets are worn and torn in many areas and needs to be replaced.

The main building elevator smells of food.

If you enter the breakfast buffet (latest recipe), your clothes, smell of food… Maybe there’s a problem with the ventilation and extraction in the buffet restaurant…
Would recommend the hotel please take a look at this and address this.

The staff at the restaurant were extremely helpful and made special food for my father, who has got many allergies and intolerances.

Special kudos to the chef Nitin, who went out of his way to help with special dishes

We had a bad experience to start the holiday by getting stuck in the lift on the first day. The staff sorted this and the lady on reception went over and above to ensure the rest of our stay went smoothly. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful particularly the dosa. The breakfast team were all good and Sonapreet the young lad on the dosa counter always made sure we had everything we wanted and everything we wanted was brought to us.

To start off, the food overall is good. However room service menu hardly has any sea food goan/ local options.. i had to fight my way with multiple people to get a rawa fried prawn to the room immediately upon checking in.

Can improve rating by addressing issues

Although overall experience with this property was good, a few pointers can help improve the rating.
Cleanliness - There was a constant unpleasant odor in the shower area. Which was brought to notice of the staff yet went unnoticed and never addressed. Even when we asked the staff to spray room fresher, they never addressed the issue. Water collected outside the shower door and the thin doormats did not help curb it.
Laundry - Our clothes were returned unwashed with stains and odor , but folded :D
Food safety - One of the nights we found unattended food in our room (which we had not ordered). Not sure how long it was left open. Buffet breakfast contained stale yogurt which was not corrected even after informing the staff.

Poor attitude of Swastik, the manager who does not know how to treat senior citizens. Checkin process was cumbersome and had to listen to the lecture of Swastik who will not take pan card for Senior citizens as ID and delayed getting to our rooms. Check out was also bad as the same person will not give late checkout initially in spite of being a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite.

The property itself was OK but the maintenance staff as puttiysoap water down the walking ramp and in the game room at any time leading to multiple slips and fall of my kids.

Had a great stay at the Le Meridien in Calangute - it is very close to some of the best seafood shacks on the beach and Baga Beach is only a short walk along the beach away. The staff at the hotel were fantastic, namely Hemant and Ashley, who really went the extra mile to make our stay memorable be it arranging dinner reservations, transportation, etc. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Goa!

Le Meridien is an amazing property located in Calangute, North Goa. This was our first visit to Goa of many more to come. Big thanks to the Le Meridien team of staff for such a warm welcome and hospitality throughout our stay , making this one of our most cherishable vacations for a very long time.

During our stay Le Meridien currently had one restaurant (Latest Recipe) in operation with a wide range of lip smacking cusine options including local goan delicacies.

Finally a very special call out for Siddhesh Shinde, Nitin Bhapkar, Nihar, Moses & Heera for taking such good care for us & making it so comfortable and memorable trip.

Very nice property and we enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing and the only point to note is rooms without balcony is little turned off but that is due to high occupancy otherwise hotel staff is ready to upgrade . So prefer to book the rooms with balcony.

This was the nicest hotel we stayed in over the last 11 days having travel through 4 locations in South India. The staff is professional, yet friendly. Mario Rodriguez assisted before we even showed up at the hotel, arranging safe transport from the Goa airport. Abdul accompanied us from the airport recommending beaches and sites to visit. The food was excellent. Chef Deeshka makes a wide variety of food, all good. She also circulates the dining room checking ton the guests’ meals and bring special off menu foods to try. The restaurant staff is also welcoming. Rupali served us several times with a beautiful smile and Elaine was pleasant and efficient. The pool was a cool respite from the heat, long enough to swim laps and clean. The poolside food and service was also excellent. The gym was good, an air conditioned break from the afternoon heat. Lastly, you can walk to the Arabian Sea! Well done Le Meridien, thank you.

I cannot recommend this to any one expecting a greater than three stars of service. I have stayed at other Le Meridiens’ but this one is the worst I have encountered.

As a preamble, We requested two rooms (3 2) with airport and breakfast service. I sent them an earlier note for our arrival at the airport with names. Despite the coordination, no one showed up -the hotel response- they only have two shuttles in a day the go to the airport.

The front desk employees need to be fired for lack of training in hospitality. They offered to bring our bags to the room, which showed up after three hours later after repeated calls to the front lobby. We encountered shortage of linen.

In summary, this place is a disappointment. The staff is horrid and unfriendly.

It's very hard to see how your hotel is 5 star. I found the service to be pathetic. In my 2 week trip to India i stayed at 5 star hotels in Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Delhi & Goa and very sorry to say that you guys don't compare with those other 5 star hotels. The shower is so dirty.. i took pictures. The housekeeping forgot the towels in my room. They are too busy asking guests to mention their names in trip advisor review. I was at the poolside bar for 30mins and no one came and asked me for a drink or attended to my table. You guys need to do better to compare with other 5 star hotels in India.

I don’t know where to start. So room service food was horrible. Very limited menu, and also didn’t have most of the dishes claiming they didn’t have the ingredients. No bread for club sandwiches! It took them 45 minutes to Inform me about this. To make matters worse, the food got us INCREDIBLY SICK FOR 3 DAYS. To make matters worse we were presented with a bill of 14,000 rupees ($200) for a gala dinner that we explicitly said we would not attend, and did not. At checkout we were threatened with police if we did not pay. I’ve never been so disappointed in a Le Meridien. I would immediately usually assume a standard of quality from this high end hotel chain regardless of its location. Don’t make the same mistake I did. STAY AWAY!

Greed and unprofessional management

Hi, I’m from Kuwait, I couldn’t stay at the hotel because of Visa rejection by the Indian embassy. Even though the hotel did deduct the whole amount of the payment and did not understand the situation I am in and rejected all the requests made by Hotel.com to refund the payment, although all travel agencies, air lines and hotels understand this situation and this case and do refund your payments.
I have reserved a balcony room for 6 nights, but I received an email from the hotel telling me that my room is only city view room and refused to confirm what I have booked till I sent too many emails to explain what I have paid for.
The management of Le Meridien hotel (Goa) are very greedy, Never ever make a reservation with them.

Very hospitable and friendly hotel staff. Facilities are up to standard and family friendly. Overall service is good. Location is accessible to town center, tourists spots and commuting. Booking is also very convenient. Food is very authentic and very well presented by the staff and the chef themselves. Recommended to tourists and local staycation guests.

Great location and friendly staff

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful! We really enjoyed our stay as well as the food. The property is well maintained, clean, and a great location very close to the Calangute beach (5-10 minute walk). We will definitely look to stay here again when we return to Goa.

We had a pleasant stay at Le Meridien. All the staff I dealt with were extremely attentive, courteous and genuinely caring. It would be unfair to name a few but I would do it anyway. Neha, Silpa, Kichu, Ankush, Vikram and the Chefs were all keen to make our stay as pleasant as it could be.
Thanks All we certainly enjoyed your warm hospitality. The one thing that could be improved is the limited TV channels available as almost all including international news and info are to be additionally paid for viewing.

This is a stunning hotel, a luxurious contemporary feel. The pool area is great, with lots of pool

It was very comfortable.
The staff is just so awesome. They take care of the smallest of thing.
The staff at the breakfast was amazing. The food was yummmm and the service was prompt. Chef Diksha, Sumarna, Dushyant.. all of them took great care and need special mention.

Also, the room was clean and the housekeeping was very prompt. The food at latest recipe was yumm but i think a little over-priced.

Rest the stay was wonderful and will be back for more.
