Wonderful stay! Beautiful premises, great amenities, cannot say enough great things about this place!!! We had an early morning flight and we stopped by to inquire if we could store luggage until our check in time, with no hesitation we were allowed to check in, wow! Was not expecting that! I always wanted to stay at Humphreys Half Moon Inn and it was everythingI hoped it would be. I love their tropical gardens, it has a beautiful pool open til 11, the tropical/garden room on the 1st floor was lovely, the staff is great, and the location is fantastic. It is both walkable and close to San Diego and all that the city has to offer. Thank you for a great stay!

Our room was in need of an update- peeling wallpaper, hole in ceiling, moldy smell. No one at the front desk let us know that the room they assigned us was extremely close to their concert area, and as there was a wedding there at the time we stayed, there was booming music until very late (we had kids with us). Extra amenity fee seemed silly- WiFi never worked for us, we couldn’t have enjoyed music on the property (again, wedding- no way to attend an event because that was in use), etc. Pool was nice, as were bartenders and housekeeping was efficient.

We loved the weekend at Humphreys. We saw Detroit Underground Saturday night and loved them and went to the Yacht Rock Revue concert. We had a fantastic weekend and Maria at the welcome/check-in counter was really helpful with any questions or concerns we had. Sierra had the pool bar was exceptionally outgoing and friendly. We have always loved Humphreys for the past 25 years we have stayed.

Our stay was excellent in all respects. We had booked a concert at Humphreys for that night and decided rather than fight traffic and rush out after the show we would book a room and enjoy a more relaxed experience. It worked out perfectly and the resort was great all around. Jacuzzi and drinks in the afternoon, a nice meal, great concert venue and the ability to simply walk through the perfectly kept grounds back to a really nice resort room after the show made for a nice local getaway for the day.

It is expensive, but very nice. Too cold to swim in the pool, but the hot tub was great. Spent some time at the propane firepit too. There isn't a parking lot at the back of the property so if your room is back there be prepared to have a long haul with your luggage. Plus parking is extra $.

We had a great time staying here. The only things I could complain about is the receptionist on May 14 around 12 PM was a little rude with her facial expressions and tone while checking in and the Jacuzzi looked green during our stay but everything else was a 10 out of 10.

The property was renovated since my last stay there and they did a great job. I am a designer and it was done modern tastefully. The property and pool are lush tropical gardens around a pool, which is rare to find in San Deigo. The front desk Manager could not have been more accommodating, and friendly. Over all , impressed!

My daughter and I stayed for a long weekend. We didn’t want to leave. It felt luxurious without being pretentious. The pool area was perfect as was the landscaping. The room was spacious, comfortable and honestly we could have stayed in those comfy beds all day! Highly recommend and we will come back!

This cute hotel is a nice stop - especially if you’re wanting to explore their property on the water or pop in to see a show. As we checked in late on a weekday night, we could see the tiki fire-pit area, which was so fun and really lovely to explore. The room definitely left much to be desired… it smelled overpoweringly like an older woman’s musty perfume and gave me a headache all night. The beds were pretty uncomfortable- soft with no support, pillows also offered no support. The shower pressure was strong, and the provided bath products smelled refreshing and worked well. The entrance to our room was actually through the patio which was very weird (we were given a heads up by the kind front desk person, so all good, just still weird). Once we got the patio door open, there were wooden shutters directly behind that we had to battle to enter! It was awkward, but once inside, the shutters looked very beachy and a bit fun. I believe the property is a Mid-Mod era build, so I fully give it the historic nod, allowing for a bit of oddness and quirky design. Once we woke up and got a chance to explore the property, we fell in love with the birds and Koi, the cool concert green, and the fun pool and bar area (we had to get going so did not swim or order any food). Coffee from the machine in the lobby was actually pretty good (there was a small drip machine in the room, but honestly, I can’t do those in room machines anymore - 😝 iykyk)! Would stay again if we got a better room.

We have nothing but praise for this hotel. Our room was immaculate. And, unlike mist places today, our room was refreshed the next day with clean towels. The grounds are beautiful. The firepits a great addition.
We ate both breakfast and a dinner at the restaurant. Which is beautiful. Our dinner, with wonderful attentive service, was amazing. Presented like a work of art, both the filet and seabass were as good as we've eaten anywhere. Will definitely be back.

This property was beautiful!! The room we stayed in was slightly outdated and could use some remodeling, however, the property was beautiful, the pool was wonderful (and heated) and the location was perfect. Also, the restaurant and bar had delicious food. You can either choose to stay in and relax or it’s just a short drive into San Diego to explore. Would definitely stay at the hotel again.

I must rave about the staff. Natalie checked us in. She was delightful. We waited to check in for a short while (the front desk staff was solving a problem) and she was so appreciative of our patience and let us know. We were appointed with a beautiful suite with the Marina view to die for. Just what a lady's weekend called for. The hotel staff and restaurant staff could not be more welcoming and accommodating.

Check in was a struggle. I ended up waiting at the pool to 5 hours. The woman at the desk said there would be a discount on my room for the inconvenience but that did not happen.
I asked for a late check out because of the check in confusion and was assured I could check out hour late but I was rushed out of my room at normal checkout time.
The attendant at check out did give me a discount but overall it was a very stressful experience.
