Parking was easy and convenient, which is always a bonus when staying centrally. The location is excellent — right in the centre of town with very easy access to the train station, making it ideal for both short breaks and onward travel.
The room was well equipped with everything you might need. Having a microwave, fridge and sink was particularly useful and made it feel more flexible than a standard hotel room. The TV and en-suite bathroom were both practical and well maintained, providing a comfortable and functional space.
Dropped a star as the shower was faulty and window we were unable to fully close.
Overall, Linen Bank offers great convenience, thoughtful facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. We would definitely choose to stay again.

The bed was really comfy and got a good sleep. Room temperature was good but easily adjustable if needed.

We were in Room 16 which had amazing views over “The Cross” in the town centre. Felt like Royalty! A bit noisey as there was near constant traffic noise from the cobbled streets but the view more than made up for it.
The room was spacious, the kitchen useful and the bathroom luxurious … but the automatic bathroom light did go off while I was in the shower and required me to open the door and wave wildly :))

This is a beautifully restored property but it is on a cobbled street where the traffic is going past and it is worse than sleeping alongside the A1. Thankfully we only booked for one night because we got very little sleep.
