The rooms are spotless, the maid comes in daily, all the amenities are first class, there is a walk around the golf course, the food is great value, all the staff we encountered are extremely friendly and they go out of there way to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Portrush is 14 miles away.

The rooms were excellent and the surrounding area was great for an evening walk around the golf course.
The restraunt and bar being onsite meant that we didn't have to go searching for somewhere in the local area. Breakfast was superb with a wide choice. A great place to stay close to Coleraine and the north coast. I really recommend it.

The Brown Trout Golf and Country Inn was perfect. Very friendly staff. Had two meals here. Had lovely food and plenty of it. The breakfasts were also good. Had English and then had a lighter breakfast the next day, yoghurt and fruit with toast to follow. The room was also lovely, our own little cottage style room. Plenty of space and comfortable and clean. The lounge area was cosy as well with a log fire. I could have stayed here a week.

We stayed a night with the dog and it’s a perfect site to walk the dog straight from the hotel door. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed dinner at the hotel too, which included gluten free options.

I absolutely loved my stay here. ❤️ The room was big, clean, and very cozy. The staff were incredible; so helpful and kind. (Jane even drove me into town twice because I had trouble getting taxis.)
And the restaurant is SO good! Big portions and so delicious; the included breakfast is phenomenal.
A bonus is that the locals who frequent the pub are such lovely, lovely people. I had a wonderful time and will definitely come back for another stay.

We stayed in cottage number 4, and while the BTI is not fancy, you will love the friendly staff and delicious food. Drinks by the fire were just what we needed after a long day. So many happy memories here.

Pleasantly greeted at check in by pleasant staff member . Food at dinner time was plentiful and very tasty , breakfast was top notch and cooked freshly. Rooms were spotlessly clean with everything needed . Every member of staff worked tirelessly during our overnight stay and deserve a mention. Wouldn't hesitate to return .

Food is really good, but service not so good.
Had to ask for menus, then had to find someone to take the order. Had to go get someone to order drinks. Stayed for three nights with breakfast and room was beautiful and plenty of space.
Checking out was a bit of a problem, as they couldn't find the payment and it had already been paid before arrival .
It is a lovely place, but not very well organised.

Warm welcome, very friendly staff. We had dinner and breakfast, both delicious! Dog friendly hotel, very easy going regrading our dog. She came for dinner and breakfast with no hassle. Our room was very spacious and cozy for two adults 2 children. It had a separates door in a courtyard which was so handy with the dog.

Staff extremely friendly. Good food, onsite parking everything you need in the rooms.
Room was lovely. So overall a nice stay only negative for us was the bottom of the entrance hall and the bathrooms have abit of a sewer smell.

Very friendly folks. Service at dining was a bit slower than we’re used to. Food was great, large portions.
Had trouble trying to figure out how to heat the room more.
Great value for the money, will definitely recommend to friends.

Great Country Inn
Thoroughly enjoyed our few days at Brown Trout Golf & Country Inn. Bedroom & bathroom were spotless, spacious and furnished to a high standard. Bed was very comfortable and with two double beds in our room, it would have been very suitable for a young family. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was excellent. Great location - very quiet and peaceful but not far from the North Coast, Giants Causeway, Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine. We would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.
Tom
Excellent food, comfort and friendly staff make this an excellent place to stay. Would highly recommend and would detour to stay here again.

A fantastic find
We really enjoyed our stay at the Brown Trout. The Inn is extremely interesting with lots of photographs of Ireland in years past. The rooms are really large and beautifully appointed. The staff are all extremely helpful and the food is delicious. The home made wheaten bread served at breakfast is by far the best I have ever had. All in all an enjoyable experience. We will be back next spring

Great spot to rest and recharge
This was our first visit to the Brown Trout, but it will not be our last. We were in one of the refurbished bedrooms which we loved. The bed was so comfy, and the decor was lovely. We had both breakfast and an evening meal. The food was of really excellent quality and there were a great range of options to choose from. The staff are so friendly, courteous and welcoming.
Emyr
Excellent accommodation set in beautiful grounds. Food was fantastic.

Far better than advertised
I don’t think the photos for the hotel made it justice. It far exceeded my expectations both in terms of charm, comfort and service. The room was absolutely fantastic and so was the food.

A wonderful stay, wish we had booked longer
This is a lovely old world charm hotel. Warm and comfortable with excellent staff. Our room was one of the recently refurbished and was well presented and beautifully clean.
Evening meal was great , the smoked salmon was probably one of the best I have ever eaten, it was smoked by the chef himself apparently.
Breakfast was all freshly prepared and tasted delicious.
