It was the perfect place to spend the night while exploring the Causeway coastal area. The restaurant attached to the hotel was newly reopened (it was their 3rd day), so they were packed but the food was amazing and they had live music.

Right from check in it was a fabulous stay. The lady who checked me in (and out) was terrific. Immediately greeted with a warm smile I was made to feel welcomed and at home. She was friendly, courteous and professional. Exactly what you want front of house. The room was fabulous I was a single occupant but there was a single and double bed. The hotel was quiet and peaceful which was great. This was my first time staying here it will be my go to hotelwhen im back up. Thank you Inn on the Coast. 10 out of 10

Great stay. Met with Debbie at reception and omg she couldn’t have been more helpful. We knew when we got there we wanted to stay another night so booked that directly and we were delighted. NIce big room. Mostly clean. Looks like it has had a bit of a makeover which was nice to see. Bed was ok, could have done with more pillows, a few big fats ones for sitting up on the bed while awake. Breakfast was nice although the coffee machine has been replaced with filter coffee which isn't quite the same.

When checking in,husband asked if we could get a room with an ocean view and she was more than accomadating , gave us very large room with a great view,recommended and made reservations for dinner for us at the Tides,again a great view and wonderful dinner. The breakfast had many items and the one we chose was Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. Plenty of room for parking. Just all we could ask for.

This was our second stay here as a family. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Bathroom also clean. The shower in our room was very low which was ok for us ok but anyone taller than about 5’10” might have to stoop a bit! Expect a bit of traffic noise as it is in a main road but it doesn’t go on all night.
All the staff were really friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant which for me wasn’t as good as last time as it was a slightly different menu and didn’t have as good a choice for gluten free. The breakfast was the same but plenty of choice if you have no dietary requirements and hubby and son said the fry up was really good. We would still highly recommend staying here though.

This is a place you always want to come back. Not only the location but the environment is just perfect! Also, I don’t have a dog but it’s the first place I see, that it is really pet friendly and I’d love my daughter to enjoy it with her dog. Smiles everywhere and always friendly, neat and clean. Gluten free -Been over a year and a half since i said I wouldn't be back in this place as it removed alot of GF items from the menu,.......but they have improved the GF options in the bar and breakfast, the place looks to have had a full re-paint and the breakfast area now is NOT in the bar which is a lot better and looks like a breakfast area just of the main walkway, fresh and clean, will be back - good job

The room had everything you would need, comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc. it was spotlessly clean. Good internet. Wonderful stay.
We had a lovely stay and have stayed before. A great spot to base yourself from and central to lots of north coast spots and activities. We had breakfast and dinner and the food was delicious and served very promptly with great service. Staff are all very hospitable and helpful and room was spacious and had all we needed. Only issue was dust and hair under one of the beds (had to move it against the wall to keep my child from falling out at night) but the rest of the room was spotless. Any time we've stayed previously the room has been cleaned to a very high standard. We will be staying again.

We found this area (between Portrush and Portstewart) quite limited in dog-friendly stays, so Inn on the Coast was a fantastic surprise. Although a 3-star hotel, it felt like much more—modern, spotless, and very comfortable. Rooms are spacious with crisp white linen, daily cleaning, and fresh towels if needed.
There’s a dedicated pet-friendly corridor with direct access from the car park, and each room had clean, nicely presented dog bowls on a wooden stand—a thoughtful touch. On our first night, we heard barking from other rooms in the hallway and feared a noisy sleep, but the room was impressively soundproof!
We didn’t leave our dogs alone, but it’s allowed. The restaurant offers a warm, home-cooked style menu, a dog menu (sausages, beef patty, chicken breast), and truly excellent service. Breakfast was also great, with a full Irish fry, cereals, pastries, fresh fruit, and friendly staff once again. Dogs are welcome in designated areas.
Despite a 4pm check-in, we arrived early off the ferry, and staff were very accommodating—letting us work in the lobby and preparing our room early.
Beautiful coastal walks made our stay even better. We’ll definitely be back!

Been here quite a few times now, this trip we paid extra for the superior double room which was well worth it, the room is lovely and comfortable with its blue painted walls, there is a dolc gusto and kettle in the room with tea , coffee and milk and sugar provided, the weather was cooler and just nice, we walked down and around portrush and the beach and sound of the sea was lovely, we stayed and had an evening meal as well and the food was lovely as well, the contrast between the hot summer weather and the cooler weather now is noticeable but both are nice for staying here for a nice we break, we will definitely be going back hopefully in November if not definitely in the new year. Most definitely recommend anyone to go and enjoy a nice overnight stay here.

Amazing place to stay. Ocean views and the staff are so friendly. We arrived with troubles with our hire car, Ash on reception did everything she could to help us including letting us use the reception phone. Nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her way to help us. I definitely recommend this place for the friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel is now fairly dated but the food was pretty poor especially dinner. They have moved the dining tables into the hotel corridor and it wasn't a nice environment to eat. It used to be that the tables were in the bar area. I don't know why it changed. Disappointing for the price

Great dog friendly hotel. Booked a dog friendly room, which was very large and had a kingsize bed and a single bed. They were quite modern rooms with a good size bathroom with shower over the bath. Nice little seating area with table, tea and coffee with kettle and a hairdryer available. Heating controls for temperature as well. Breakfast was nice with a good selection and brilliant to be able to bring your dog with you in the dog friendly area.
