The Causeway Overcharged us by adding on £40 without telling us. Upon checkin the price was given which was the same price as hotels.com. but a few days after returning home an extra £40 was charged to our card. They had every opportunity to inform us at check out but didn't. There was no reason for this charge. I have emailed the hotel several times and have had no response.
The room itself - we left with sore throats. My child dropped their toy behind the bed and when I pulled the bed back from the wall to check for missing pieces of the toy BLACK MOLD and white mildew was covering the whole wall behind the bed! I felt sick - literally! Under the bed is clearly never hoovered either as there was dust everywhere and dust thicknon the skirting board.
Breakfast was nice but not enough to make us go back.

Always enjoy staying at the Causeway. Breakfast was lovely although we missed the buffet part on the lovely round table in the centre of the dining room. Hotel v busy but service was excellent. The biggest downside is the bathroom. Very awkward to use shower in bath. If that was updated we would have no complaints. Thanks

Great little Inn that’s about 200 years old and is situated right next to the Giants Causeway. Parking was easy. Staff were excellent and warm. Check in was in an informal and inviting setting. We loved the whole vibe of the place. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast there too and it was affordable and delicious. The causeway visitors center is right next door and the Giant’s Causeway is right behind the property. We highly recommend the Causeway Hotel.

Hotel was great - room could use a little refresh, but nothing drastic. Would have liked screens in the windows, due to the warm weather, we had them open and a lot of bugs came into the room. The food at the restaurant is very good and the staff is very polite. With your stay, you receive free entry into Giants Causeway, which I did not see anywhere when booking thru the Hotels.com site (apparently it’s stated in your email confirmation when you book direct).

We had a really lovely stay. The location is idyllic, and it was amazing to be able to enjoy the Giant’s Causeway in both the evening and morning. Beautiful stay
This is a very convenient place to stay for visiting giants causeway. I love that we can park easily, which is included in the price, because it was so crowded on the day we went. They were confused about my 2 rooms that I booked together, and even though I had requested to be next to my kids, we were separated by a few rooms. No worries, they are 10-15, but it was inconvenient for packing and unpacking purposes to travel down the hallway. The views are gorgeous although you will see visitors posing outside of your room so you kinda have to keep the curtains closed until about 6 when the tour buses leave and the visitor center closes.
The food was acceptable, just keep expectations at the right level. It’s not gross it’s just nothing really good, steak sandwich was stringy, chicken was dry. My husband said the service at dinner was not good. I was too busy laughing with the kids to notice though. I thought it was fine. Breakfast was great.
The mirror in one of our bathrooms was leaning sideways like it had fallen and been caught by the wall; so I reported it upon check in and they fixed it immediately. There are no lifts, as the hotel is historical, but they offer to help with bags which is very kind. I was too tired at night to check out the bar with live music. I wish I had been able to because I’m sure it was very lovely! And you cannot hear it from the rooms (at least ours were quiet), so I slept peacefully.

The obvious point about this hotel is that it is right on the Causeway with fabulous views and so you can easily see the causeway at lots of different times of day. It has a big car park right next to the visitor center and you get a free pass to the center as part of your visit. The staff are absolutely lovely and breakfast is plentiful, varied and delicious. The rooms are a dated and the walls thin but the beds are comfortable and the place is generally clean. You cannot beat the location.

This is the best hotel to stay at if you are visiting Giants Causeway. I went on evening and early morning walks to the stones and had the entire place to myself.

Excellent customer service throughout, cordial welcome and very efficient with no long waiting time to check-in, beautiful room, quiet, spotlessly clean, dinner and breakfast - we couldn't fault it. And the bonus of course is the location. I walked down to the causeway for the sunset. Spectacular! Thank you for your hospitality, we only wished that we could have stayed longer.

Very nice hotel. Staff carried our bags up the 20 steps into our room, which was very much appreciated. One bed had no sheet not discovered until we we were about to turn in, but a call to the front desk sorted it right out. Lovely restaurant with excellent service and food.

The staff here is always a pleasure to work with. This lovely old hotel offers convenience to the Giants Causeway, as well as so much history within the building itself. The pub is always the best way to top off a night of exploring the coast.

I’m afraid since one of our daughters got married in the hotel 10 years ago nothing much has changed at the hotel The decor is contemporary but in need of serious renovation The bedroom had a 3/4 double bed which was extremely uncomfortable for two adults
However the staff were all very friendly and helpful and it was obvious that some of them were multi tasking both inside and outside the hotel

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. The entrance to Giant’s Causeway is in their parking lot. You can walk down to it any time. There are several walking paths that go right by the hotel. You can walk along the cliffs and hear the sea below, seagulls and birds, and sheep in the distance. The rooms were nice, modern and comfortable. The food and service was great. The included breakfast was more than enough food to fuel your morning. This whole area is idyllic. Sweeping views all around. Highly recommend.

Approaching the hotel i thgt oh look this looks nice ..... how wrong !! So upon entry to the hotel it looked tired.... we then checked in no lift to the room (16) so my 71 year old mother had to hike stairs she was offered a CHAIR LIFT not ideal ! The room was very dated and tired and tbh not very clean (mini egg pkts under the bed ! Corner at window to left abs stinking on skirtings ).... chairs had staining on them walls in need of repair ie filler and painting , knobs missing of furniture which is also furniture dated and painted over ! Blinds on the windows parts missing of the actual blind so light in all night ! The bath is abs not viable for anyone with any health restrictions a step ladder would be required ! I also asked for a fan as the heating was on full pelt room was so uncomfortable to this moment im still waiting for the fan he never came back ! and also didnt come back to turn off the heating so not only were we roasted due to hot day we had the added heat of a system also ..... such an uncomfortable night thankful checking out this morning

A very enjoyable stay. So handy for a trip to Giant’s Causeway with breakfast, easy parking and entrance to the visitors centre included. Lovely staff and tasty food. The triple room had a terrace outside. The beds were comfortable and we had two very peaceful nights sleep.

We were greeted by very friendly and efficenr staff who helped carry our luggage on account of my disabilities.
They had lovely bar and night staff.
The beds were very comfortable. We both sleprt grom the minute we hit the pilliw to morning and the rooms delightfully decorated.
The food was delicious and the service both at breakfast and dinner very welcoming and attentive.

It’s a grand old inn with an amazing location for the Giant’s Causeway and hiking in the area. The restaurant staff wasn’t the best but not the main point of a choice like this.

This is a building that could be described as old fashioned in decor and general demeanour and yet its character is one of sophistication. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our overnighter there. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and tidy in keeping with any modern facility. The evening meal and breakfast were adequate for any traveller. The area is of course of immense quality and hugely scenic because of the Giants Causeway. The free entry into the centre is useful. All in all a very pleasant stay away a very reasonable Expedia price. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely hotel with charm. Room was comfortable but bathroom could do with an upgrade but clean. Breakfast was enjoyable and there was a good hot food menu and plenty of continental options available. Evening meal was enjoyable but triple cooked chips were more like frozen chips.

Lovely location and perfect for the Giant's Causeway. Very good idea to offer free entry to the visitors centre for guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was really great, good food in nice surroundings. One comment however, the bed was a bit lumpy, mattress toppers or new mattresses would not be a bad idea. Other than that, we'd stay again.
