Literally, it's next to the Giants Causeway. As a result, it's hard to park - even for hotel guests- and can get a little noisy b/c tourists visiting the GC eat/drink right outside your window. I was there in July and there were 6-10 tourist busses there daily. 15 min to Royal Portrush. Good breakfasts.

Fantastic location right next to Giants Causeway. Lovely old hotel and the food was good and service excellent. Our friend has mobility problems and there is no lift but property has stair helper. Parking perfect as right there. We had left our lights on and were rung to tell us which was fantastic. Totally recommend to all travellers.

The Causeway Hotel sits at the entrance to the visitors centre. I had booked entry time with the visitors centre. However as a resident you can access the visitors centre as residents are automatically booked. Parking is right outside the hotel, so is adjacent to the Causeway entrance. The hotel has a good range of souvenirs. The staff were lovely and always willing to help. The bars and lounges are older in style and compliment to the overall feel of the hotel. There are several walks from the hotel along the cliffs; these are fairly flat as well as an accessible route. Whilst you cannot see the Causeway; you do get some spectacular views of the Causeway coast. If anyone is visiting the Antrim coast, I would suggest one or two nights here. You are ideally situated to visit the sights to the east and the west.

Only good reason that you should stay in this hotel is the close proximity to the Giant’s Causeway, plus free parking and visit to the Visitor Center. We visited the site 3 times with one night stay and managed to capture the most beautiful moments there.
Other than that, the hotel is old and not well maintained. Staff are ok, not the friendliest. We booked for sea view, ended up with 99% car park view. Breakfast is good though.
Overall, we will stay in this hotel again because nothing beats peaceful sunset and early morning at the Giant’s Causeway.

My goodness! What a pleasant surprise! Causeway Hotel far exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend staying here!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! The atmosphere was so calming. Our room had a walkout balcony and some yard area. It looked out over the valley and ocean. It was a very easy walk to the Causeway. The Hotel also provided tickets to the Visitor Center at The Causeway. Staying at the hotel allowed time to explore the area before and after all the tour busses arrived—that was an extreme bonus!
Our room was huge. So was the bathroom. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower head put out plenty of pressure.
We customarily don’t rave about hotels, but this was above and beyond. Plus the price was well within our budget. We were so happy we choose to stay there.
We were there June 21-22.

If you want to visit the Giants Causeway & see it without the crowds… This is the place to stay! Once the other tourists have gone, you can walk out in the evening (after about 6.30pm) & early morning (before 8.45am) & be there all alone! Also, watching the sunset on your terrace is special. But, what makes this hotel, are the amazing staff who (despite being really busy) are just SO friendly & helpful :-)

Great location, nice hotel but it can use an update. The staff was very friendly. The food at the restaurant and at breakfast was very good. It needs modern amenities like charging outlets. Great location for Giants Causeway visit. Hotel is tired and staff are willing, Restaurant and bar were good, but I really don’t like having breakfast laid up on surrounding tables whilst I’m trying to enjoy a nice evening meal.
Loo seat in room 7 does not fit and was falling off. Heating was not on overnight, so my wife was freezing. Yes it is low cost, but some minimum standards are necessary.

This hotel is not for you if you want modern key carded rooms. Most certainly there is a regal atmosphere in its accommodation. The bedroom gave me concern as it was at the top of the main stairs and could have been noisy however that was not the case. It was quiet and very adequate in value for money.
The staff also are very professional in their attitudes and yet were very accommodating in everything which was very pleasing. Breakfast and dinner were of high standard. Again the staff were very helpful and accommodating. All in all the Teo night break was very relaxing with a great area to explore. The view from the room was also an experience in showing off the North Coast of our beautiful country of Northern Ireland. Thanks to all at the Causeway Hotel.

Our room, 29, was nice and modern. The wind was noisy overnight though and the heating made all sorts of noises, plus the bed wasn't the most comfortable, so I didn't sleep well. However, breakfast was good and the location next to the Causeway was excellent as you don't have to pay in. An upgraded mattress and heating would have made my rating 5*.

The Causeway Overcharged us by adding on £40 without telling us. Upon checkin the price was given which was the same price as hotels.com. but a few days after returning home an extra £40 was charged to our card. They had every opportunity to inform us at check out but didn't. There was no reason for this charge. I have emailed the hotel several times and have had no response.
The room itself - we left with sore throats. My child dropped their toy behind the bed and when I pulled the bed back from the wall to check for missing pieces of the toy BLACK MOLD and white mildew was covering the whole wall behind the bed! I felt sick - literally! Under the bed is clearly never hoovered either as there was dust everywhere and dust thicknon the skirting board.
Breakfast was nice but not enough to make us go back.
Really let down by this hotel.
