Ali
This hotel was better than we expected. The staff were really lovely, especially the receptionist plus the woman who seemed to be in charge of the kitchen and also the waiters . I’m a veggie and they made sure I was offered choices. I really couldn’t fault this place. We go on numerous weekends away in Northern Ireland all year round and this is definitely worth rebooking.
Wendy
Such a central hotel and it was spotless. The staff were lovely. We will be back 😃
FIONA
The food menu had not hit a very good selection for someone who can't est spice or a plane ester butvwgrn asked the chief catered for us.
Laine
Easy to park but I wasn’t there during summer months. Friendly staff, good breakfast.
David
Great location hotel right beside beach and resort centre. Room and breakfast v good, staff very friendly and helpful.
Sean
Staff were absolutely delightful and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was great and the room had a perfect ocean view over Antrim Gardens. We went in May, so parking was free on the street right in front of the hotel. Central location for all that Portrush has to offer.
Shannonlee
It's amazing stay and I would stay again and the staff were very lovely and very helpful and very friendly.
Rylan
Front desk staff were amazingly helpful
Hayley
Very clean hotel just on the outdated side but couldn’t fault staff the beds was comfortable and the breakfast was grand.
Suzi
We stayed next door in their partner hotel Adelphi. It was beautiful. Comfortable beds, lovely breakfast and great location.
Karl
The hotel is under new ownership and currently undergoing major renovations. Our room recently painted was OK - limited renovation scope. However, we had a comfortable bed with new clean bedlinen. Bathroom clean and bright but old fittings. The major area for improvement was the restaurant which was totally under going renovation was the restaurant - we had breakfast in a room that was essentially a building/decorating site. The food was of poor quality and inedible. We left without taking breakfast. Whilst the hotel is clearly trying to improve itself and will no doubt be better in future, for us the lack of upfront disclosure of the true state of works was very disappointing. Had we have known this, we would have selected another property. Receptionist was friendly and polite but not really able to affect any of the issues.
Drey
Walkable location to sites and great view of the ocean.
Andi
Staff were very polite and helpful, including alerting us to shared ownership with the Adelphi as Atlantic restaurant was closed.
Janie
Amazing as always

No restaurant or bar facilities. Not notified at time of booking or updated prior to arrival

Got a free upgrade and my room was fantastic. Clean room, fresh towels, free wifi, stunning sea views and the breakfast is superb. Reception staff are always very friendly and welcoming, as are the morning waiting staff. Another great stay!

Nice stay again in Portrush Atlantic. Good that room wascready for earlier check-in as 4pm would be a bit late. Enjoyable stay.

The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, the staff friendly and efficient, and the breakfast tasty and plentiful. The best part though is the shower! Seriously, the shower is one of the top five showers I’ve ever taken in my life, and I’m not young. It had plentiful hot water with amazing water pressure. I could’ve stayed in that shower forever! I’ll dream about that wonderful shower long after my vacation is over. I wish I could get that kind of water pressure in my shower at home. I could go on, but suffice it to say, if I ever return to Portrush, I’ll definitely be staying at this lovely hotel!
Yvonne
The breakfast was lovely and the staff were lovely and friendly, really enjoyed ourselves. Love this hotel 🙂
Colora

Excellent two nights with a great view looking east over the North Atlantic with views of Scottish peaks. Spacious room
Rose
The MOST comfortable bed we’ve slept in so far! Pillow, duvet, linens, mattress! All wonderful! Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast a bit disappointing but we were one of the last guests so very little to choose from. Music was a bit too loud for a morning meal, but just my opinion…

Wonderful location, beautiful town. Hotel us old but nice. Employees were very nice.

Great spot
Andy
Lovely friendly staff, very nice hotel inside (looks a little unloved outside) there is a night light in the room, wouldn't be turned off. Other than this, we had a perfect stay. Thank you and we will be back.
William
Hotel is conveniently situated in the town,
Hope
Hotel is older. No air-conditioning so room was a little stuffy if you didnt open up the windows. They do provide a fan. Complimentary breakfast was a good perk. Staff was very helpful in helping us book a taxi. Taxis should be booked in advance as last minute taxis are hard to come by. Everything pretty much in walking distance.
Anne
Nice property and good location
Paige
Nice stay for a night. Some of the fixtures and areas of the room are a bit worn or look a bit rusted but for the one night we stayed it was good.
Aubrene
The food was very good 5star for the food but when we asked about sunday lunch we were told there was no lunch due to a cruise ship stopping in with all on board .
The shower head wash dirty plus the fan never worked in the bathroom .
Bed was made with the tv romote in the bed so the quilt wasn't shaken also we stay 3 nights and the bed was not changed in that time .
Also outside around the front of the Hotel was discussing with the summer seat were green from moss plus dirty cigarette butts lying all over the outside seating area.
The switches in corridor area was left switch on it would only take a child to put there finger in and they would get shock from it no happy with the sunday lunch we had to make arrangements to get lunch in another hotel .

This is an older property and it shows. The rooms are outdated and the lighting is poor. Also, the only fresh air came from a small window that only cracked open a couple inches. Also, we needed help figuring out how to flush the archaic toilets. We were also on our own to find parking, and luckily located a spot on the street. On the plus size, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was very good.
Melissa
Great location, rooms and restaurant uncomfortably hot. No ac and no airflow at all. Tiny fan in the room did nothing to help.
Rachael
As always, this was my favourite place to stay during my trip. Canadian/Irish citizen, moving to Portrush, so having a place to get to know the area that's right in town is essential. The renovations are incredibly well done and the new beds are the coziest mattresses I've ever slept on. The staff, top notch. Super friendly and helpful. I was so tired checking in, I left my luggage beside the reception. Within seconds of entering my room, someone was at the door. With my bags and a huge smile. Thank you greatly Portrush Atlantic. I want to apply to work here!
denise
Friendly comfortable hotel on sea front
Great room with sea view, lovely hotel with lift and good buffet breakfast, close to all pubs and restaurants
Helen
Wonderful stay right near the water in Portrush. Convenient to walk to local sights and restaurants. Comfy room, with lovely sea view
Yvonne
Great spot for a few days away, we had a sea view room which had recently been upgraded, location was excellent.
Joan
Hotel in the heart of scenic village, lovely aspect, harbour, trails and beaches. Easy to explore The Giant’s Causeway and to feel right at home. The restaurant was spacious, efficient and the food was splendid! Hotel and restaurant staff were super! Loved every minute!
Angela Laura
Amazing staff hotel a wee bit dated but apparently it’s being renovated we had a lovely 2 days
Natania
Delightful room, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, relaxing, the perfect getaway. Close to the train station for outings elsewhere, and very nicely located in Portrush. Great views and sea walks from the front door!
Elaine
Hotel was nice and clean but a bit tired overall. Breakfast was great loads of choice and really tasty. Bar staff were very good.
Gillian
Lovely stay
Lovely room with sea view, very clean, comfortable bed,
Aileen
Good food. Comfortable bed. Friendly and efficient Staff.
Stephen
A reasonably priced 1 nite away. Sea view double room inc breakfast- £124. Room was large enough but a bit dated. Shower over the bath and the toilet flush action needed some muscle power to operate. Hotel is getting a bit of refurbishment at present so there is quite a strong paint smell in the corridors.
Breakfast was fine but the coffee machine was dispensing some strange tasting coffee.

Nice hotel. Should be even better once ongoing renovations are completed. A very good value that includes a great view and a free breakfast.

Portrush Atlantic April 2025
The Portrush Atlantic Hotel has a nice facility with a great view. We understood that it is under new management and that improvements and renovations are already underway. This will be an even nicer operation in the future.

Atlantic Hotel stay
Staff were all very friendly and efficient. The room(sea view king room.. 122)was very tired looking, in need of a refurbish but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had everything you'd need for your stay. The only downside to our stay was our room was situated opposite the lift and corridor doors so everytime people were coming or going we'd hear the doors shut with a bang which went on well into the early hours(3am)
John
Lovely sea view room in beautiful Portrush :-)
Lorna
The room we were staying in was very out dated, carpet very badly stained and nothing in room relating to the beautiful North Antrim Coast which would make u think u were on Holidays
Jean
It was good
Paul
Hotel was good staff pleasant and helpful
Ian
Room clean enough with power next to bed.
Bath / shower combo not ideal.
Hotel didn't inform that it wasn't doing food until arrival.

Refurb required
Haven’t stayed at the Atlantic for a few years , breakfast was really good but the rooms and the hotel
Itself really could do with a refurbish.
Carpet in room very stained and room
doesn’t have enough plugs for chargers etc .
Staff nice though

Great location but a little dated
What was good - central location, great breakfast, friendly staff, comfy bed, shower pressure
What needed improved - bathroom needed replaced, bigger bath towels, door to bathroom kept sticking on floor and door to bedroom only shut if you banged it closed.

The small things make all the difference
For what I paid for the night was okay. Had I of paid more I wouldn't have been happy. The bathroom had mould and looked grubby around the bath, taps and tiles. They need either replaced or given a good scrub..I had a bath and couldn't get the hot tap to turn off. Eventually after alot of effort I finally got it off before it started to over flow. The TV is just basic and mine had a blue lie running down the side of it which was very annoying trying to watch the channels. I think this day and age a Smart TV wouldn't be an expensive thing to buy. The room itself was clean and bedding very fresh.

Room was comfortable, good bed. Walls must be thin as we could hear couple in adjacent room talking until 2am and then woken twice later by sound of snoring! Breakfast was excellent and staff at breakfast were efficient and pleasant.
Jessica
It was alright...
The hotel is very old so I didn't expect it to be in pristine condition but it wasn't the cleanest, there was a crack in the sink and the window in our room had been left open so there was a lot of flies both dead and alive in the room. It was still an alright place to stay but I will say, I'm very pleased with the detail to food allergens, we were both gluten free and for breakfast the next morning the staff detailed everything we could have and they even had separate unltensils for handling the food, they even had a selection of GF toast, cereals and sausages! Amazingly done, best that I have been to! They view outside to the sea was incredible as well.

This hotel is so well placed in the heart of Portrush and could/should be doing more to take advantage of that. It is a modern hotel but is already looking a bit tired in places and could do with a revamp, particularly the bedrooms. We had a room to the rear of the hotel, which was okay, but there were significant noise issues from the entry/street throughout the night. The king size bed was not the most comfortable, tbh. Our electronic room key cards were annoyingly temperamental, only working occasionally, which meant looking for staff to open our door on 3 separate occasions! The breakfast was pretty standard fare, the bar was pretty lifeless in the evenings, and parking outside was at a bit of a premium. Okay for a night or so, but could be so much better!
Julie
Run down
Overnight stay. Hotel very run down, torn seats in restaurants, rooms very basic and stains on carpets. Location is the only positive. Hotel needs a massive upgrade.
patricia
This is my second visit. I love it so much, I brought my sister here while she was visiting Dublin - well worth the drive! The hotel is perfectly located in the town allowing for lovely walks to stores and restaurants. There are amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean from each room. Although it is an older building, it has a priceless sense of character and history. It is also convenient to Dunluce Castle and Giants Causeway. I highly recommend visiting this iconic hotel.
David
Only there one night, staff very pleasant. Room comfortable & good breakfast.
Islay
Hotel has seen better days. Carpet was stained. One of the light fittings in the bathroom was dirty and didn’t work. Receptionist was helpful. Breakfast was very good, proper bacon.
Rachael
Beautiful rooms, kind staff and comfy beds. What's not more to love? Only reason I'm giving four stars on the amenities is due to the fact that there is only ONE outlet in the entire room. I was in a King and Single. Good thing I was alone! I could only charge my phone overnight and not my camera battery... And the darn outlet wasn't even beside the bed or near the nightstand. It was behind the tv. .. For me that's a big problem. Other than that I'd definitely stay again!
Ericka
The dining options were very limited in the area. The bed was supposed to be a King but seemed more like a Queen size. The restaurant inside the hotel had a very limited menu. I would have liked to have had some dining suggestions from the staff.
Peter
Hotel is close to multiple restaurants and pubs, very affordable for the area and located right on the main road (although still quiet). The breakfast was amazing and our view of the water was beautiful.
We’d stay there again.
We’d stay there again.

Room was fine.
Couple of nitpicks being: noticed the lamp by the TV was a little tatty and the toilet roll holder was loosely placed in the wall mount so fell out when being used. Other than that the experience was passable for a night's sleep.

The hotel is older and has a few small issues with toilets, lighting, furniture, etc, but is in a great area convenient to restaurants, pubs, and the beach. Staff was courteous and helpful and I was very satisfied with our stay overall. If you go, check out the Springhill pub on Thursday night for awesome Irish music! And tell Johnny his American friends say hi!

Ok for one night
Just an overnight before going to Giant’s Causeway. Very helpful front desk staff. Breakfast was not fantastic. Room was pretty bleak and uncomfortable.
