Cul-Erg House and kitchen is a delightful small hotel well situated on the North Coast. It is well managed with excellent and helpful hosts who went out of their way to meet additional requests. The room was clean, spacious and very well maintained, the bed was comfy and the room well furnished.
Breakfasts (and the cakes when its cafe opens) are excellent with good choice and quality products. They were some of the best loved and prepared meals we had on our stay. Like their cafe produce, amazing home made cakes or carefully selected chosen pastries, breakfasts include high quality ingredients-sausages and bacon locally sourced-and the result is noticeable.
Walking distance to sea-front and local amenities its location serves as a great base to explore the Causeway Coast area.

5 stars is an understatement. JJ, Marie, and James make Cul-Erg House what it is: an absolute gem. They are warm, kind, professional, and passionate. These values translate into their bed and breakfast. We had outstanding food. Their Irish breakfast and smoked salmon scrambles are all locally sourced and delicious. I learned about wheaten bread from James and haven’t had one that could rival Cul-Erg’s homemade version. Marie is a mighty cook. JJ was a steady presence throughout our stay and was always there when we had a question or needed a recommendation for the area. This place is a must stay.

The bed and breakfast was first class standard. JJ and Marie were exceptional in their care. The attached coffee shop was ably headed up by James who had the same standard of care and attention to detail. The available use of a little kitchen for storing food or having snacks was very much appreciated.

Parking was limited. We had hoped to leave our luggage before check in time as many places allow but no one answered the door and a sign stated check in time at 3- it was a very nice stay, small but very nice. Everything was very clean and a comfortable stay. Looking online I saw laundry facilities available but not really. A local laundry would do laundry for a cost. The breakfast was very good and our hosts were pleasant and attentive. I would recommend this B/B highly w/ the exception that laundry is not available

We spent 3 nights at Cul Erg House, along with the 2 other couples. We all had a fantastic stay! Marie and JJ were wonderful hosts. The rooms were wonderful, the breakfast was amazing- a large menu, gluten free options as well. The location was perfect for walking to the promenade (about a 10-15 min walk) where there were shops and restaurants. JJ always had great information on where to go to eat and what to do. There was parking on the street and also a driveway around back. We would highly recommend a stay at Cul Erg House!!!

The friendly owners (JJ and Marie) are second to none and run a great B&B. Great location, close to all the major attractions in the area and within walking distance to restaurants and the city center. The hosts are very friendly and very helpful. The only downside was the non-working heater. By the time we found out it wasn't working it was in the middle of the night and we didn't want to wake up the owners. That was a mistake on my part, because my friend caught a cold as a result.

The room was good but got stuffy under 70 degree weather. A fan would have made it a lot more comfortable. Car parking in the back of the facility was great. Very nice B&B near the ocean (2 minute walk tops). JJ, our host, was quite nice and very helpful, the B&B was clean and well kept overall, room was plenty big enough, bed was comfortable, breakfast was outstanding. Our only regret was that we stayed only one night. Would stay here again if in the Port Stewart area in the future.

We loved this place - modern facilities with all the amenities- wonderful host and hostess - room was very roomy and comfortable and new and clean - parking was easy and it is in a beautiful location next to the ocean and easy walk to great views, good eats, and fun walks. And for those who enjoy sitting by a cozy fire in the evening, one is available in the lounge. We can't wait to return.
