An oasis of calm and quiet peace. Beautiful surrounds and very well kept. Staff are lovely. I will miss the wonderful poolside comforts. The food is delicious and super fresh. Room was cool and spacious. Reluctantly a high recommendation as I’d selfishly prefer it stays quiet.

Wonderful stay, we were upgraded into the bungalow rooms, which had a huge bath and an outdoor shower (plus an indoor one!). The staff do not speak much English, but they are amazing. There was a free summer roll making class on Monday, and they do a free yoga class on a Wednesday. Food was ok, I particularly enjoyed the grilled squid. Drinks were lovely, laundry was reasonably priced and it was so nice and quiet here. It is rustic, but that's absolutely the charm of it. The East side of the island is also very quiet and not yet ruined by tourism, so you will have to do taxis or bikes if you're exploring the island, but it's well worth it for the peace and quiet of this hotel. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The entire property is beautifully designed and feels like a peaceful tropical forest, full of greenery and charm. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well maintained.

The swimming pool is a great size and exceptionally clean—perfect for relaxing at any time of day. The atmosphere around the resort is calm and inviting, making it an ideal place to unwind.

The staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was delicious, and the breakfast was plentiful with a great variety to choose from.

Overall, a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful getaway.

The room was beautiful and spacious and lovely outlook.
If you want a peaceful place to stay 20-30 min taxi ride from main areas, the accomodation is good, but there is literally nothing around so you are kind of stuck there or hire a scooter or driver.
We originally booked for 7 nights but left after 5 nights as just too quiet, the owner refunded some of the cost which was very nice as non- refundable and we chose to move.
The improvements we would suggest would be to keep the cats and dogs away from the main eating area. Dogs kind of lazed about and did not bother people, but the cats and kittens meow constantly when you are eating and some guests feed them encouraging. I am not a cat fan and having them constantly around my ankles was not pleasant.
The other improvement is to serve cocktails in the pool from lunch through to diner. The staff are there as restaurant open from about 11am through to end of dinner, but several times when we asked for a drink we were told no cocktails until dinner!

The only real issue is that the staff can't even communicate in simple English. An older male employee who occasionally works at the front desk can communicate in English, but the female employee who primarily works there can't speak English at all. At the very least, it would be good to have someone at the front desk who can communicate in English, even if it's just basic words.

We enjoyed our time at the resort. We didn't appreciate when we booked the family duplex did not have internal stairs. However we made the most of it.

What would have made our stay better was a kids menu. We did need to be creative feeding the kids.

Otherwise a really lovely place to unwind with family.

We enjoyed every moment of our time here. The view from our villa was simply stunning. The pool was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the food. The retreats location is very remote and not close to a beach but we hired a moped from them, which was really reasonable and we toured the island exploring beaches and the national park. It was complete tranquility and we will definitely be returning.

This is a unique property that provides peace and tranquility. The property manager assisted in arranging a driver for me, allowing me to explore Phu Quoc with ease and joy. I highly recommend this place. The staff was very kind, and I had a fellow tabby cat that became my companion during my stay as a solo traveler. The entire Coco Island Retreat was clean, beautifully landscaped, quaint, quiet and amazing staff. If you want a chill vibe, with beautiful comfortable accommodations, with a serene infinity pool away from the noise and crowds this is the place! Watch the local fishermen with beautiful sunsets, great restaurant on site. A 15-30 minute cab ride to all the hustle and bustle. Easy access to all the amenities, other beaches etc. The staff will arrange any excursions or tours and motorcycles and feee bicycles to ride to neighboring restaurants and bar. Lovely stay!

WOW!

By luck, we decided to choose JM Cacavilla retreat to stay for 1st time in Phu Quoc. It's located on the Eastside of Phu Quoc,from the map it looks like on the remote side of the island but that what we wanted. Our first impression was WOW!!!
We got upgraded into a nice villa style with kingsize bed, premium towels ,sheets, nice bathroom with shower, big stone soaking tub and good running hot water.
Our villa is only 100 meter from the ocean, and before that was an outdoor beautiful infinity swimming pool where we spent almost our time there.
Also, catch the sunrise here is unbelievable scenes.
We also had free delicious breakfasts , and the restaurant here has a good menu for everyone including vegetarian dishes. We also met Mr.Dung, the owner of the resort, very friendly and hard working person to keep the place running smoothly. All the staffs here were very friendly, happy and polite.
We felt very blessed and joyful that we chose to stay here. Next year we'll back and stay longer.

My only complaint is that the breakfast needs more options and the coffee needs improvement. It was really bad which is sad as Vietnamese coffee is generally excellent.

The pool is huge and amazing- we loved it! They only have one restaurant- it was also very good. Breakfast daily was wonderful. Our villa was very large, very clean, large bathroom. All is very new. I did love the spa slippers they had for us. The view is wonderful in all directions, mountains or pool and ocean.

I reserved the ocean front view bungalow and everything I expected. I booked this place based on reviews: new, beautiful bungalows steps to the beach. But when I got there, it was beyond my expectations. I am used to 5 stars resorts big chains I.e Marriott Sheraton intercontinental Ritzs etc. JM Casavilla is so unique in term of location and surroundings. The Grab driver cautioned me that this resort is so far from everything from town center, I said it’s ok because I spent a week in sensory overload HCMC so I need the tranquil and solitude, I wasn’t disappointed. Obote everything else, all the staff was so nice gracious and attentive to my every needs, room was cleaned with quick speed everyday, and whatever else you need, they came through. What amazed me was the foods, from the casual look of the dining area, I didn’t expected much, reakfast was nice and adequate; for lunch we just wanted to grab quick bites so we don’t have to venture outside of the resort, but to my suprise the foods were just amazing worthy of Michelin stars (I am a foodie so I know good when I tasted it. Needless to say we ate all our meals at the resort for the whole week and not repeating. I don’t have enough words to describe my love for this place. I will come back for sure, highly recommended to everyone who’s looking for a 4-5 stars of a quiet retreat. A plus for all the staff.

Wonderful staff. Nice facility and quiet away from the main city which I like. You can rent moped at the hotel for the day and ride around the island. Hotel can also arrange a ride for you to wherever you want to go. Round trip to night market is 650,000vnd for 6 of us which is not bad. Only thing I would suggest is to add porridge to the buffet breakfast and have more variety of food on the menu for lunch and dinner. Laundry if by weight 30,000vnd/KG, but please note it’s hang dry and not machine dry. Our clothes came back all wrinkly and bugs on them. I understand the bugs. It is an island after all. Maybe there is a section to check for ironing for a charge which I missed. But overall stay is nice.

We loved: The friendlyness of staff and owners. We are two ‘Travel Journos’ who stumbeled at this jewel. The facility is brand new (3 months) and still needs finishing, but when this happens it will be solid 4 star property which will suit people who like to enjoy quiet and quality. Väldigt fint och välskött, oerhört lugnt och avkopplande. Men tyvärr inte så mycket i närområdet att hitta på eller restauranger att äta på. Hotellets restaurang är bra men blir lite ensidig om man stannar en vecka. Det finns en mycket speciell fiskrestaurang ca 2 km bort som verkligen är värt ett besök.
Är man ute efter lugn och ro, samt total avkoppling kan man nog inte hitta ett bättre ställe.
Personalen är värt att ge högsta betyg.
