The Pride is my regular hotel in Pune. I’m practically a regular and it’s a second home to me. Room service, laundry, air conditioning, two restaurants on site, pool, spa - all make it worth it. I prefer to have family visit me there than to drive around Pune when jet lagged.

It’s also centrally located especially if you want to see the Old City.

As a former Pune native, this is my go-to place to stay when I visit. It is centrally located, especially close to Old City - the Peths, Deccan and so on. The amenities are lovely. It is a quiet oasis in the middle of a noisy and crowded city. The two restaurants, in-house spa, pool, and incredible front desk and concierge services make it all wonderful.

My extended family usually stays with me at the hotel.

Front office staff was uninformed and told me I did not have the free breakfast although that was part of my trip. They later acknowledged the staff made a mistake.

In room dining menu is mediocre at best, the in room dining staff was courteous and helpful.

Housekeeping staff was fine but mini bar was never stocked.

Location is good but looks like property is not kept up to date, not spending on cleanup and upgrades.

Careful of upper floors. The railing is very low and can result in a person falling to their death. Rooms were in below average condition. Bad lighting in room esp bathroom. Can’t even see the face in the mirror. Staff is nice but poorly trained resulting in back and forth. They were unable to also get my wifi working on my iPhone

PRIDE Pune - 5-star hotel with 3-/4-star Feel

PRIDE Pune is supposed to be a 5-star hotel. However, it has a feel of a 3-star or 4-star hotel. The rooms are dilapidated. The bedsheets, towels etc. did not have a fresh feel and smell. The room did not have the feel of a room that had been properly cleaned and sanitized. I paid more for one night at PRIDE Pune than at THE LEELA in Mumbai which is what PRIDE should aspire to be. Very disappointing one night stay at PRIDE. The only positive is that the staff that I interacted with were very helpful and courteous

A lovely stay with an attentive team!

This is my second stay at Pride Hotel and I would stay here again due to the attentiveness and affordability of the hotel. Granted it is a bit worn and could use an update but it is very comfortable, like a well lived in home might be. They are very attentive and if you have a problem do respond in a timely fashion. Good technology, wifi, tv etc. The breakfast spread is great and worth making time to take advantage of. I would definitely stay there again, they remembered me from my trip last year!

I was locked in the bathroom.

I was not happy. I was locked in the bathroom since the door could not be opened. This had never happened to me in the past.

The hotel food was not satisfactory.

Also bathrooms were not good.

Decent place but not great

A decent stay - rooms are clean and generally the staff are rustic but very cooperative. Food is not good so I rarely eat here. This hotel has been in existence for a long time now and used to be known as the Ashok Executive in the 90's. They had a fabulous run during the time as there were not many star hotels in Pune. Another drawback is that the neighbourhood has no good restaurants within walking distance

Stay at your own risk

We were put up in non-smoking superior room. However, the room was stinking of cigarettes all the time and the bathroom were very dirty. The bathroom was also stinking since there was no facility for exhaust fan. The Staff at the reception are not aware of the facilities provided by the Hotel. The bathroom and the changing room near the swimming pool are was very dirty. There were stains behind bathroom doors.

The location and the service are excellent. Unfortunately the room sizes are small. Though I had taken a premium room as we were 3 members travelling, the bed size was small. My advice is that if you are more than 2 members please do not depend on one room. Also the bathroom did not have any latches!! I have travelled to many corners of the world and all them had the decency to provide one such. The restaurant has limited but good food.

Pride Hotel Pune stay review

Hotel is in a strategic location in Shivajinagar Pune, hence is beneficial to many travellers. Old fashioned charm is reflected in their decor. Do not be taken in with all their declarations. Few facilities e.g. slippers, though declared on their website / channel partners' websites are not provided!!
