The Good and the Not so Good

The staff are wonderful, always trying to help. The room was not terribly clean upon arrival, but a manager quickly corrected that after I answered a hotels.com check in survey; however, I still had really inconsistent housekeeping service. The towels are old and the bed mediocre with uncomfortable pillows. Laundry inexpensive and fast. Area safe with a supermarket and mall in easy walking distance. Actually very good value for the price. Fyi: Last time I stayed in 4th floor and has better luck with housekeeping.

Nice hotel in the city centre camp area

Friendly staff, excellent food, a great location, good amenities. Shower very old fashioned and had leakages but no big deal to me.Rooms too big for AC unit so it was very hot all night. I stayed in#406

Need renovation in bathroom and beds.

this hotel use to be luxurious but now this hotel maintenance is low quality, same old bathroom without curtains the water will be all over the floor, low quality tissue papers for toilet,

When I enter in this hotel the towels are really DIRTY LIKE A CHEAP MOTEL, then I called housekeeping and got new towels, they have very limited staff but good staff trying to keep this place clean.

the bedroom sheets are dirty with stain on it , the WIFI & Mobile network will not work in hotel rooms since they are on high rise tower. It use to be a 4 star hotel but now it looks old they needs to renovate the internal things like bathroom,beds, furniture.

Food quality was good had good breakfast, and staff was very friendly and trying to do their job promptly.

A hotel at the right location

The front desk staff were very professional and both the check-in and checkout were very quick. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. There is no minibar. The toilets although sanitized and clean need some renovation. The food at the Fennery Restaurant is very tasty but the mostly junior staff take an awfully long time to serve food and have a rather laid back attitude to their work, which I found rather strange considering the upper levels seem very agile.

Clean rooms, clueless staff

I arrived at 2pm after a long drive and needed to take a nap. The housekeeping staff was talking loudly in the hallway and loudly slamming the doors of rooms as they entered and exited the rooms. I asked them nicely to please try to keep the noise down. They said \"of course sir, no problem\", and then went right back to talking loudly and slamming doors. I asked the repeatedly to stop. They always said \"yes sir\" and went right back to the same behavior. Believe it or not, this went on until 5pm (I assume their shifts ended at five).

The restaurant was expensive, the food of poor quality, and from the dining room it appeared that both the kitchen and the staff were unfamiliar with the basic rules of hygiene.

The desk staff, like the housekeeping staff, were polite but unhelpful. They were also very slow and inefficient. They seemed to go out of their way to avoid being helpful.

I did like the room and the location, but there are many problems with this hotel.

Attention all travellers..please do not book Aurora towers
I booked the \"Executive room\" and they refused to give me this room on arrival. First the room was not ready even though I had requested for a timely or early check in. I was kept waiting for 2.5 hours in the lobby and kept being shuttled to different low quality rooms.
Next I am taken to rooms which were stinking of alcohol and they refuse to clean them even on repeated request. When I kept insisting ..they finally showed me some room for which I settled as I thought I had paid all in advance ..will I get any refunds....and I decided to compromise.
But it spoiled my trip completely
Next the cafe was terrible.....cold stale food..which the staff refused to warm even on request...
They are seriously terrible...Please do not stay there ever.....and the morning breakfast which is included....is cold..old....and you will be better without it

pleasant stay

This is my third stay at this Hotel, we were very comfortable and felt at home, very centrally located and can easily move around , everything reachable with famous restaurants , banks , shopping malls at walking distances. Overall a good stay, we will surely stay there again.

Good hotel but i wouldn't go back

Stayed at this property for a day and it's conveniently located at the centre of the city, clean and spacious rooms. Loved every aspect of the hotel except for the front desk. They were very rude and asked me not to take couple of my friends to the room.

Low cost hotel, sliding down from what was probably very nice (20 years ago) to barely acceptable. Prime example of star rating becoming meaningless. Fitness centre and pool poorly maintained, only 1 socket for every appliance. Would not recommend unless your budget is really tight.

Horrible experience of a Life time

1. The room and quality of standard have so badly deteriorated
2. The Service Staff and Front office staff behaved clueless we were being charged extra for a Guest when we had a double occupany and a 3 year old child after speaking with the GM this finally got resolved

Paying for triple occupancy was easy but getting the extra bed was difficult. Wifi access was limited to only 2 devices per double occupancy room, so could not have wifi for my laptop and phone. Current process for wifi access is not user friendly for foreigners.

Stay was not good at all.. There was an attempt to robbery. I have caught the house keeping guy red handed when he sneaked into my room when I went for breakfast. I went for breakfast and he saw me going only with a key card in hand. I dint like the breakfast menu (they charge Rs 400 for breakfast, its not complimentary), and quickly I returned to room, then I see this house keeping guy (by name Srinivas) in my room putting his hands in the handbag trying to steal money or other valuables. And when I complained to the receptionist (Abdul) he is trying to defend this guy. looks like all are involved in all this. While checking out, another guest also complained of loss of money from her room.

Convenient but old hotel

The property is at a prime location but it is quite dated. Things that I didn't like: The corridors at the room levels have a weird smell, the rooms have a central switch console that controls all the lights and tv - which is located next to one end of the bed, the toiletries (shampoo, conditioner) provided are in super small bottles. The bath towels were pretty old too.

Great hotel at an affordable price

Overall the stay was excellent. Will definitely plan on returning to the hotel. The only negative, and it was a light negative, my checkout took about 15 minutes due to not enough front desk personnel to handle the number of checkout guests.

Good location close to city center.

My booking was cancelled by Expedia 1 hour before check in according to the hotel staff. Hotel staff were aware that we are on our way to the hotel. . Initially hotel staff had a CAVALIER attitude and they were least concerned about the booking / cancellation . They were more interested in if we have paid in advance It took them nearly 25 minutes before they sorted the matter out and checked us in.

A NEGLECTED PIME ROPERTY

It was a stopover in my Shirdi trip and i stayed for one night with family in 2 rooms.Right from check in i never felt anything of star hotel atmosphere and nothing was in place. To say a few there were cigerette butts littered on floor in the guest room lobbies for almost aday and funnily my bed was bigger than cot and the house keeping staff gave a free advise to join the 2 cots and unable to answer what to do about phone table which is in between.The front office said it has complementory drop to airport next day to catch my return flight and another gentleman said it would be charged.I would nether recommend nor stay again there.

Dirty hotel, start cleaning c'mon, horrible

The hotel's location is amazing, that's why we got it. But OhMyGod it's so dirty, the walls, the hallways, the elevators, everything about the hotel is dirty. If they just deep clean the hotel, it'll come back to to life. All it needs is a major renovation & a good management.

Perfect for Pune visits

Hotel Aurora Towers is located in a great location. Staff is very attentive with the exception of some of the desk staff who seem cold, distant and unconcerned. Note this only an impression given off by a couple and may not be the case. This is definitely a go to hotel for us.

Fantastic hotel close to all amenities
