The rooms were kept very clean, and the staff is excellent. They are very knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to give a recommendation.
Your location in Praca Velha is perfect. It is right in the middle of all the Christmas events. The garden behind the hotel is quite lovely and a great place to spend some time reading a book in nature.
My wife and I appreciated the fact that we were within walking distance of so many things (Cultural Centre, Library, Museum, restaurants and pubs). This hotel is quite a gem.

Property was located at a central location in Angra next to the garden (which provides the best city views if you walk to the top). Exterior and lobby look very nice but the rooms and hallways were a bit outdated. I had a single room on the second floor facing the street. It was surprisingly quiet. The bedroom was modern with a comfortable bed but the bathroom looked old (but clean and functional). The hallways were dark and the carpets looked dirty. Breakfast was delicious with many options and local ingredients - I appreciated how things were labelled. Customer service was stellar and they arranged me a taxi for an early morning flight on a Sunday.

Every aspect was easy to handle. However, the markup on the price did not match with my booking. It was supposed to be 744€/$840, BUT, ended up charging me $910. Pay in advance instead. Regardless, price was worth it.

Gym was good, broken treadmills and unfilled cleaning spray made it hard for me to clean the equipment after use, but the view into the park was a nice touch.

Friendly staff all around. Not a single negative attitude or vibe. Even helped us clarify where the bulrun eas happening after many people giving us wrong information. I'm pretty easygoing so I may not have noticed it. Otherwise, when I return to the island, I WOULD stay here again.

When we arrived we were “upgrade” to a suite. This upgrade soon turned out to be the loudest hotel I have ever experienced. Our room faced the city square and the first night we could hear people out and about at all hours of the night. The next night was a disaster, it was a celebration for a soccer match and the speakers and drinking bar and people lasted well into the morning. We had earplugs however they did not do anything as the speakers were so loud. We finally fell asleep around 2:30 to wakened at 5am with the cleaning trucks. We explained to the staff and the response was , yes…it was a celebration. Awful experience

We liked the suite room with the loft bedroom and two bathrooms, one up and one downstairs. The town also had a beautiful garden area behind the property. The location was also very convenient. Very nice staff.

We got in at 7am and the front desk staff arranged for our room to be cleaned first and told us to go upstairs for breakfast while we waited. The dining room overlooks the most beautiful garden and we were delighted to find numerous hot and cold options and delicious fresh fruit. The location (at the historic town hall square), was excellent with several small cafes in the area. We were steps from the old port and several museums. The room was large, quiet, clean, as was the modern bathroom and shower. The hotel has an elevator, roof deck with happy hour and 1st floor bar/cafe with several light meals and snacks as well as a large TV for watching the soccer match. I would highly recommend this hotel and believe it’s a great value at a moderate price. I was also told it’s a perfect spot to be for the week-long festival of Saint John!

This hotel is in an excellent location. Close to shopping, the ocean and many restaurants. It has a beautiful view of the city and ocean from the top floor terrace along with being next to the beautiful garden - Jardim Duque Da Terceira. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to be in the heart of Angra Do Heroismo.

The location was excellent. The gardens are wonderful. The rooftop bar was a great spot to relax in the evening. It was fun to watch the gatherings and entertainment in the square across from the hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful.

Azores Angara Garden never disapoints. The staff is simply the best, efficient and kind. The rooms very comfortable and clean. Breakfast starting at 5 was ideal for our flight departure time. The Azoris Angra Garden hotel is a very nice property. It sits in front of the Duke of Terceira Gardens and it looks out over the town square. You couldn't ask for a better located hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The hotel staff were very helpful. We were there during the St Joaninhas festival and there was a party outside our room every night, but shockingly the rooms were very quiet. The only problem is the air condition (it was very cool) had the smell of mold and both my husband and son left with pretty bad colds. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Don't book during a Festival...

Beautiful hotel and the staff was friendly and helpful but we arrived on a festival (which happens a lot here) and it was noisy all night. I asked for a garden room but was sort of ignored. Also very run down, needs updating, small room with HUGE Balcony, maybe the room could be larger and the unused balcony smaller? However the gardens in the back are worth the walk up the hill....

Great place to stay as long as you don't have a car to use/park. No parking available. In Terceira a car is usually needed unless you stick to the city and organized tours via bus.

I had to pay for 5 nights but only stayed 4. My flight diverted and we arrived the next day. They said shouldn't be a problem to change but in the end they declined to adjust. The hotel was never full so it's not like they would have lost money to refund the first night. Considering we are repeat customers I thought that wasn't cool. I'm not declaring I wouldn't stay again but I'll try to avoid and consider a hotel with more accomodating management.

A lovely resort hotel. But they should have taken more time to explain how the place works. We didn't know until day 2 that there was an indoor pool, for example. And they should have explained that we were to use the grey towels and bathrobes for the thermal pool. And we didn't know they supplied flip flops. Better communication would have made a better experience.

It is so quiet even if it's located in the city centre. The garden (Jardim Duque da Terceira) is just behind my room, which added to the serene ambiance. Shopping and dining are just within walking distance. Praça Velha, the town square, is in front of the hotel. There is also an abundance of taxis just around the corner and buses from across the town square. They have a fitness centre that includes a pool, sauna, and gym. Breakfast is excellent with many choices. Overall cleanliness is of excellent quality. Most importantly, the staff is so helpful and friendly. Shoutout to Igor for letting me check in at an earlier time. He truly understood that I am so exhausted from a very long flight.

The Gardens are in the perfect location to explore the island. The taxi stand is in front of the hotel, the town square and best pastries are across the street and the best restaurants , shopping, and marina are all within a 3 minute walk. Staff is friendly and helpful.
