Beautiful hotel with warm hospitality

Amazing family owned hotel with extraordinary service and great accomodation. Staff were great to us and pool was great place to relax. Food was beyond great at the hotel and warmth and friendliness of staff were the highlights of our stay there. Thank you for beautiful rawsberry raki.

Excellent value family run hotel

This is an excellent family-run hotel, in immaculate condition, with friendly staff and good facilities. Access to most of the rooms involves a number of steps, so not ideal for the mobility impaired traveller. Additional (very reasonable) charges apply for air conditioning or internet access. The wi-fi network was a bit weak and erratic. I only wish I could have prolonged my stay by another week or two ...

Great Price & Great Space.

This place is perfect for a couple, family or friends. You will definitely need to rent a car to enjoy Crete. This hotel will put you 45 min drive, an hour and a half and 2 from the 3 best beaches in Crete. You will also be 10 minuets from Platanias which has a great strip of restaurants and shopping. Make sure to buy olive oil on the road from the farmers, best olive oil in the world is from Crete. The food at the hotel is amazing, the cook is excellent. I plan to return to Crete and I would stay at Futura again. The grounds aren't suitable for the elderly or people needing a wheel chair. Lots of stairs up and down to move through the property, it is also difficult when carrying your own luggage up to your room.

A Warm Welcome

Very comfortable studio with lounge, kitchen and separate bathroom, and beautiful patio with well tended garden. Air con and Internet extra but good reception. Very helpful staff nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast lovely. Swimming pool and sun beds, all you need on site. Not much in immediate vininity (walking) Agood bus service very near hotel. But would suggest A car as so much to see nearby. Lively tourist area a few miles towards Hania. Would highly recomend if you don't want to be in the center.

Futura Hotel, Maleme

Lovely apartment in this complex. Pool and kids pool are in excellent condition and all day in the sun so not too cold, nice temperature even for the little ones in the kids pool. Only downside of the complex is there are many stairs to negotiate from your apartment/the pool to the exit if you want to go out. As is normal throughout Greece the drainage/sewer pipes are very small so the shower always turns into a mini bath as it cant drain fast enough and toilet paper is to be deposited in the special bin next to the toilet. Cleaners come in every day to clean bathroom, special toilet bin and rest of the apartment as well though, so this is dealt with very efficiently. Deluxe apartment has a separate bedroom, bathroom, living room with kitchenette and small patio to sit on, eat breakfast, e.g. Having a small fridge is very convenient. The complex also has a little shop and 5 mins. down the road is a medium sized supermarket as well. The location of the complex is about 10 mins. away from the nearest beach, pebbly beach though. If you are looking for a sandy beach it will be about 20-30 mins by bus, taxi or car to get to one.

Some parts of the Hotel are older but don't let this distract from what is a lovely family run Hotel who bend over backwards to help you. The staff and owners are great and help make your holiday if 5 star luxury is what you seek then you wont get the personal touch that the Futura staff offer, great location for Western Crete and a great pool and bar area, excellent for family's and the more mature travellers.

good hosts.

Beach is not very pleasant (mixture of sand and pebbles) and 10 minutes walk. No green lawn for children to play at in the hotel. But room was upgraded to a bigger one for free, cleaned daily, fresh towels every day, kitchen was fully equipped. Big bathroom, no bathtub, hot water was hot almost every day:-). Espresso was really bad and costed 3 euro. Good hotel if u have a car and use it as a base for traveling around the area.

Loved this place!

This place is beautiful. The room has a large living room with a balcony and views that are amazing. A fully equiped kitchen, seperate bedroom with kingsize bed, a dressing table and two large closets, plus another balcony. It was so much more than we expected. We only booked for one night not knowing what to expect and have extended the stay to 2 weeks. The lady who owns the place is so helpful and a real treasure. I will recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Crete. Right down the street is a grocery store, a bar, internet cafe.....everything you would need. We rented a car, but I understand the bus system is great for getting around.

Quality in relaxing environment

This hotel provided great service and is located in a great area. There are many restaurants in close proximity, as well as a grocery store. The beach takes a walk up the street to get to and is very rocky (not sandy). The reliable bus service has bus stops close to the hotel. There is no wifi and you must pay to use the internet computer. This is a great place to sit back, relax, and take things slow.

Udemærket, men basale mangler

Fine faciliteter. Meget hjælpsom personale. Der er basale mangler som sæbe, opvaskesæbe og børste, poser til skrald som vi endte med at bruge penge på selv, hvilket er lidt øv, når ikke er der længe. Mange kravlende myrer indendørs som også nogle gange kom op i sengen, så vi købte også en myrespray, som heldigvis virkede.
4 stjerner grundet meget venlig og hjælpsom personale.

Μία βδομάδα στο Μάλεμε

Ωραίο ξενοδοχείο με πολύ ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό. Χώροι άνετοι, καθαροί και με ανέσεις. Ότι χρειάζεσαι σε απόσταση αναπνοής. Ιδανικό σημείο ως έδρα να επισκεφθεί κάποιος το νομό Χανίων. Στα αρνητικά η επιπλέον χρέωση του internet.

Des amis nous ont conseillé cet hotel et on est tombé sur une offre très intéressante pour 3 nuit. Pas grand chose à reprocher (propre, bien situé pour visiter l'ouest de l'ile...) à l'exception de l'évacuation de l'eau dans la douche (très, très lente).

hotel curato e pieno di fiori!

L'hotel è molto curato, in ogni angolo ci sono piante e fiori bellissimi, la posione per noi è eccellente, a 20 minuti da Hania e vicino alla strada nazionale. Sul lungo mare ci sono dei ristoranti (per turisti) proprio sul mare, sicuramente migliori rispetto a quelli nel centro di Hania in cui consiglio di andare per il dopo cena :)

Nulla a che vedere con le foto e la descrizione

mare (1 km) , é una spiaggia di ciotoli vicino ad uno scarico. non vi é letteralmente nulla nei dintorni. Nessun tipo di divertentismo per famiglie / coppie / single. Posto circorndato da campagna e steppa non curata e abbandonata. centro abitato piú carino vivo e attivo é Chania (22 km).Capelli per terra e asciugamani macchiati, piatti e padelle unti e sporchi, frigorifero che non refrigera, celletta freezer inesistente e rotta. stoviglie rotte e sporche e comunque mancano le basi per cucinare anche una semplice pasta o bistecca e quando chiedi alla reception una spugnetta per lavare i piatti o l´ombrellone per far ombra sul balcone in quanto vi é il tavolo (molti lo avevano), la risposta é sempre quella: puoi comprarlo. una famiglia lascia due ombrelloni, tre quarti d´ora dopo quegli ombrelloni venivano rivenduti come nuovi al market dell´hotel (10 Eur). Finestre della camera da rotte (aperte), su una discarica abbandonata, ergo puzza, caldo infernale e casa invasa da insetti di ogni tipo.Wi-fi, servizio lavanderia gratis? Wi - fi 20 Euro a settimana, aria condizionata 25 euro a settimana (peró quando esci di casa staccano la corrente quindi frigo e aria condizionata spenti), lavatrice 5 Euro e comunque non la puoi fare il giorno prima di partire

Vicino al mare, abbastanza tranquillo, personale gentile, una delle addette alla reception parlava italiano. Peccato che il wi fi e l'aria condizionata non siano compresi nel prezzo. Mancanza di uno stendino per asciugare asciugamani, costumi ecc.

Luxus Suite - levede ikke op til forventningerne

Billederne vi bookede hotellet på var helt anderledes end det vi fik tilbudt.
Ganske kort - værelse i rokoko stil ala 1980 med fuld laminat på alt, komfur der ikke virkede, udsigt til baggård fra værelse og terrasse direkte ud til trafikeret vej. Billeder var totalt misvisnede.....
Efter klage fik vi næste dag et værelse der svarede til billederne dog er standarden temmelig cheasy taget i betragtning at det annonceres som Luxus Suite. Der er klart forskel på "Luxus" i deres / vores verden.
Servicen - tonen i vores dialog med hotel ledelsen og e.g. personalet i baren var bare ikke service orienteret. Man gik med en fornemmelse af at der skulle presses så meget ud af en som muligt samt at de ikke var der for kundernes skyld.
For at komme til stranden - som er sten strand - skal man igennem en noget kedeligt område. Men sådan ser hele området ud hvor hotellet ligger.
positivt var at poolen var fin og svarede til forventningen.
Vi kommer ikke tilbage til dette sted!

Czysty hotel z dala od zgiełku Platanias

Hotel Futura jest pięknie rozmieszczony, nie w jednym blokowcu ale w osobnych apartamentowcach/studio między drzewami, palmami,kwiatami. Niestety im bliżej baru tym głośniej w nocy. Jednak na naszą skargę przeniesiono nas do apartamentu w głębi z dala od hałasu (byliśmy z małym dzieckiem).Obsługa niesamowicie miła i pomocna (pani na recepcji wydrukowała mi karty pokładowe po odprawieniu się na komputerze dostępnym dla klientów hotelu).Można skorzystać z komputera na żetony lub WiFi, które niestety jest płatne-dwadzieścia Euro/tydzień.Posiłki w hotelowej restauracji przeciętne i w wysokiej cenie. Lepiej przespacerować się do jednej z wielu restauracji tuż nad morzem (5 minut piechotą)i zasmakować kuchni greckiej. Dla oszczędnych-gyros za rogiem po dwa-pięćdziesiąt Euro :). Basen dla dzieci oraz duży zupełnie przyzwoite choć Skandynawowie zajmują leżaki od samego rana. Hotel jest położony dość daleko od Platanias. Spaceru nie polecam, lepiej skorzystać z autobusów,które jeżdżą dość często. Z hotelu można wybrać się ciuchcią do parku wodnego (obsługa bukuje miejsca)-dwadzieścia sześćE/osobę, siedemnaście E/dziecko.Sam park wodny przeciętny ale dzieciaki będą zadowolone :). Same pokoje w porządku. Materace i poduszki mogłyby zostać wymienione ale obsługa bardzo dba o czystość.Generalnie z pobytu dwutygodniowego jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni mimo kilku minusów :)

Hyggeligt hotel med varm og god stemning!

Futura hotel udgjorde en rigtig god og hyggelig base for os på vores ferie til Kreta i år!
Hotellet er ikke nyt, men der er rent og pænt og rart at være. Poolen er stor og fin - der var tilpas med liggestole og priserne i baren helt fair - 2€ for en sodavand, 4€ for en stor øl.
Vær obs på at aircondition koster ekstra, oven i værelsesprisen.
Når man har 2 ugers ferie, er en bil et must - Malame som turist område er ikke stort og ligger "lidt ude på landet" - kør fx til Falaserna, der er den flotteste sandstrand.

GRADEVOLE, BUON RAPPORTO QUALITA' PREZZO

Buone struttura facilmente raggiungibile dall'aeroporto di Chania da cui dista circa mezz'ora. Si tratta di una sorta di apart-hotel, noi avevamo prenotato uno studio per noi ed uno per i ragazzi e ci sono stati assegnati due bei bilocali attigui, le unità abitative sono gradevoli. Se lo si usa come base per girare la parte occidentale di Creta è ottimo. Maleme ha una spiaggia normale con ciottoli sul bagnasciuga e mare pulito. Per noi è stato meglio i noleggiare un'auto per cambiare spiaggia ogni giorno. I letti sono buoni, pulizia giornaliera con cambio alternato lenzuola e asciugamani. Le dotazioni della cucina sono proprio essenziali. Non contate di farci una cucina gourmet insomma! ma per la prima colazione per noi è stato più che sufficiente. Suggerimento per la proprietà: sistemare le piastre elettriche. Funzionano ma sono arrugginite e fanno una brutta impressione. Non è una critica ma solo un consiglio perchè per tutto il resto davvero ci siamo trovati benissimo, personale e proprietà davvero gentili e disponibili, servizi e piscina ottimi. Lo consiglio.

Skønt ophold på Futura Hotel.

Min søn og jeg er netop kommet hjem fra en dejlig ferie på Futura. Vi oplevede at de var yderst opmærksomme, venlige og servicemindede :-).. Selve hotellet er dejligt, rent og maden er udemærket(Great value for money). Det der trækker lidt ned er selve området der efterhånden er ret "dødt". Heldigvis går der en bus næsten lige ude foran døren,hvor der går busser to gange i timen, som er væsentligt billigere end at tage en taxa. Ydermere er det ikke egnet til gangbesværede.

Siamo stati 10 giorni ad agosto con due bambini. Il residence è molto carino. Appartamenti spaziosi e puliti che corrispondono alla descrizione del sito. L'ambiente è accogliente e piacevole, immerso nel verde, con una bella piscina. Non abbiamo consumato in hotel, ma la posizione a metà strada tra Kissamos e Hania ci ha permesso dcon faclità (avevamo noleggiato l'auto) di spostarci facilmente in spiagge e zone bellissime di Creta (Elafonissi, Balos, Falasarna, Agia Marina, Loutracki...).

il soggiorno all'hotel Futura è andato molto bene, piccolo residence ben curato e pulito, tutti molto gentili, avevo prenotato un monolocale e mi hanno assegnato un bilocale comodo, lì però non c'è una spiaggia atrezzata, quella più vicina è a 4 km.

Hotel tranquillo per il periodo del soggiorno(ottobre), camera ampia, bella terrazza al piano superiore, pulizia camere buona, manca uno stendi biancheria, buona posizione come base per visitare la parte occidentale dell'isola, Chania a 15 m. in auto. Unico neo: l'acqua calda a volte di mattina presto non c'era.

Tar pristillegg for aircondition og safe. Trekker ned helhetsinntrykket.
Støy til tider fra strandbar. Ut mot gaten mye trafikkstøy slik det er på Platanias.
Frokost for 6 euro pr pers. Finn heller en restaurant og ha frokost der.

Kjempehyggelig hotell!

Veldig hyggelig og pent hotell, stille og fredelig, koselig bassengområde. Fint basseng, både for svømming og lek. Styrkerom med grunnleggende utstyr. Leiligheten vår var praktisk og grei og rengjøringen utmerket. Vi spiste nydelig frokostbuffet. Lunsjbaren og restauranten på hotellet serverte rimelig og god mat. Servicen var upåklagelig, familien som driver hotellet er svært imøtekommende, og de snakker godt engelsk. Perfekt sted for de som vil slappe av i rolige omgivelser. Bra utgangspunkt for utflukter på øya, det går busser hver time mot øst og vest, flere bilutleiefirmaer rett ved. Maleme er et stille sted, noen restauranter og butikker, ellers fredelig. Ca 200 meter til stranda, som er en steinstrand, delvis var det litt store bølger der. For voksne er det fint å bade, klart vann, lite folk. Fine strandstrender øst for Platanias (ca 10 km unna). Vi anbefaler Futura Hotel på det varmeste!

Dejlig ferie

Vi havde en dejlig efterårferie på hotel Futura. Solskin og mere end 25 grader hver dag. Vi havde en stor lejlighed med to store soveværelser og to badeværelser samt en stor stue/køkken. Derudover en stor balkon. Lejligheden blev gjort ren hver dag og hveranden dag fik vi skiftet sengelinned og håndklæder. Personalet var utroligt hjælpsomme og service minded. Sengene er til den hårde side. Lækkert poolområde med bar hvor baren først lukkede når de sidste gæster gik hjem. Hotellet ligger i en lille by. Der er flere restaurenter indenfor gå afstand og med rimelige priser. Stranden er ikke umiddelbart brugbar, da der er rigtig mange sten. Nærmeste sandstrand ligger ca 5 km væk. Det tilrådes at have bil.

Sehr gepflegte Ferienanlage&freundliches Personal!

Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Die Anlage sehr gepflegt. Wie wir erfahren haben, wird sie einmal im Jahr gestrichen. Auch im weiteren ist es eine sehr saubere und ansprechende Anlage mit einem schönen Pool und Palmen im Garten. Die Zimmer werden täglich vom Reinigungspersonal in Ordnung gehalten. Das heimische Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Es gibt auch einen eigenen Parkplatz. Ode an die Freude!

Wir hatte ein sehr geräumiges Appartment, in dem bis zu fünf Personen schlafen konnten. Sowohl im Wohnraum als im Schlafzimmer hatten wir einen Balkon. Sehr gepflegtes Außenanlagen inkl. Pool. Frühstücksbuffet war dem Preis (5,50 €) mehr als angemessen, obwohl es täglich das gleiche war. Nettes Personal.

Nel complesso il soggiorno e' stato piacevole. Piuttosto cari i servizi aggiuntivi quali l'aria condizionata a 5 € al giorno come il wifi sempre 5 € al giorno ma comunque efficiente. E' praticamente assente il parcheggio, salvo 3 posti davanti alla struttura e 6/7 posti interrati sotto l'hotel ( troppo pochi per le oltre 50 camere, specie in alta stagione). Alcuni clienti lasciavano l'auto lungo la strada sul marciapiede in posizione un po' discutibile, almeno per l'Italia, ma comunque non ho mai visto fare delle contravvenzioni. La piscina e' abbastanza grande ma gli spazi intorno sono piuttosto piccoli. Come base, ovvero per dormirci e poi girare l'isola va più' che bene. Pulito. Se intendete pernottare qui, chiede le sistemazioni più' lontane dalla piscina perché presso la piscina vi è' un bar con maxi-schermo e rimane aperto fino a tardi. Nel complesso ci tornerei.

Hotelli on oikein hyvä. Varustelu huoneessa oli hyvä, näkymät altaalle, merelle ja vuoristoon olivat upeat. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä. Palvelun taso oli aivan erinomaista. Tässä hotellissa oli oikein mukava vierailla. Henkilökunta puhuu erinomaista englantia. Tuskin voi kehua liikaa tätä hotellia, meidän perheen vierailu oli erittäin hyvin onnistunut.

מלון חמוד, שירות מצויין, נמצא בעיירה מלמה שלא נחשבת אך שקטה וקרובה לעיר תיירותית.בעלי המלון מסבירי פנים ושמחים לסייע בכלשירות חדרים על בסיס יומינקי ומסודר.הופתענו לגלות שהמיזוג הינו בתשלום נוסף.

Seuraavalla kerralla jokin toinen hotelli...

Viimeinen pvä kys. hotellissa saa huonot pisteet, meille esitettiin lisälaskuja joiden syntymisestä oli epäselvyyttä. Osan niistä jouduimme maksamaan, vaikka asia oli toteutunut toisin kuin oli alunperin sovittu. Wi-Fi, ilmastointi ja safety box piti maksaa erikseen ,sängyt olivat kovat eikä huoneessa ollut pesukonetta, vaikka huoneinfossa niin luvattiin, vaan maksullinen pesukone oli yhteisissä tiloissa. Plussana hyvä ruoka ja hotellialueen kauniit istutukset.

Helt kurant hotell

Store rom, med god plass. Veldig bra renhold på rommet. Hotellet ligger i et fredlig og rolig område, med lite støy. God mat.Et minus er de harde madrassene på rommene. Det er koselig med musikk når en ligger med bassengkanten, men blir slitsomt når det stort sett er den samme cd´ en som surrer hele dagen, på alt for høyt volum.

Fantastisk service

Par med 3 børn: Fantastisk service, dejligt hotel med meget lækker indretning af området, rigtig god restaurant. Det ligger i rolig by, hvor det ikke er så voldsomt turistet, men dog med fin mulighed for hurtig bustransport til Chania (20 minutter). Det største og eneste minus er at den nærliggende strand er sten og ikke særlig børnevenligt. Istedet tog vi taxi for ca 10 euro til stranden ved Agia Marina, som er perfekt. Jeg tog meget gerne dertil igen!!

Great family run hotel

Hotel was very well maintaned and staff nice and helpful. Swimming pool was excellent, not the biggest pool but there was springboard and jumping was allowed, kids loved it! Hotel restaurant served excellent food and also special diets (gluten free) were well taken care of. Rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchenette was not equiped as we expected but that could well be our own high expectations. You could not make a 3 course meal on that kitchen ;) Room service (cleaning) was excellent. Hotel was located bit aside, nearest village that had night life or action on day time was 10 minutes by bus/taxi. Remote location also meant very quite and peacefull nights that is a big plus! Near the hotel there was 2-3 small grocery stores (small and with limited selection). Overall a very pleasant stay, would come again!

nice family owned hotel in rural quiet village

Nice view from balcony. Friendly helpfull and flexible owner family and staff. Nice pool area with wonderful flowers and nice but expensive pool bar. Good breakfast buffet but no variation. Lots of stairs everywhere is no problem for most people but avoid if you are traveling with push chair children. Mainly Scandinavian guests. The quiet walk to the pebble beach is approx 500 m. Sun beds available from lovely Verano were you may buy a drink or ice cream rather than pay for the sun bed.

Koselig familiehotell!

Et hotell med en koselig og avslappet atmosfære, bygget slik at du føler ikke du er på hotell - men i en liten "landsby" ( det vil nok variere noe alt etter hvilket rom/leilighet en får) Rent og fint uteområde med masse blomster - veldig imøtekommende og hyggelig stab )
Vi har vært her nå tre ganger, og vil gjerne reise igjen!

Ottimo compromesso tra costo e servizio. Hotel gradevole, tenuto in ottime condizioni. Belli i fiori sparsi un po dappertutto. Camere confortevoli, utile l'angolo cottura. Ottimo il letto matrimoniale a tre piazze!! Colazione piu che sufficiente. Ottima la piscina!

Familiedrevet og hyggeligt hotel med super service

Vi havde en dejlig uge på Hotel Futura. Hotellet er familiedrevet og det smitter af på den gode og personlige atmosfære.Vi havde 2 børn på 2 og 4 år med og de blevet taget imod med smil og venlighed. Hotellet har både almindelig pool og børnepool samt en lille legeplads. Det hele ligger dejligt samlet, så der er godt overblik :-) Vil vender gerne tilbage i hotellet.

Für den Preis echt klasse!

Die gesamte Anlage des Hotels sieht sehr ordentlich aus, der Gärtner war jeden Tag am arbeiten. Die Zimmer haben allen notwendigen Komfort, man kann jedoch keinen 5-Sterne-Standard erwarten. Wir hatten eine kleine Küche mit einem recht alten Kühlschrank. Geschirr ist komplett vorhanden, Spülmittel und -bürste muss man sich beschaffen. Ich hatte mit gar keiner Küche gerechnet, somit war das eine gute Überraschung.
Das Bett wurde täglich gemacht, die Handtücher alle zwei Tage ausgetauscht. Die Sauberkeit war voll ok.
Es gibt einen kleinen Kiosk und insgesamt war das Hotelpersonal sehr Freundlich.
Ein Strand ist nicht direkt vom Hotel aus zu erreichen, aber auch von keinem anderen Hotel in der Nähe. Wenn man abends noch mal ohne Auto zum Wasser möchte, ist das dennoch in 10 Minuten zu Fuß möglich.
Auto ist auf Kreta allgemein vom Vorteil... Und in dieser Lage eher notwendig. Lidl ist nicht unweit entfernt.

Insgesamt hat es uns nicht nur auf Kreta, sondern auch in diesem Hotel sehr gut gefallen. Es ist sehr ruhig gewesen, man kann also auch abends sehr schön die Stunden auf dem Balkon ausklingen lassen.

Für den Preis fahren wir auf jeden Fall wieder in dieses Hotel und können es absolut weiterempfehlen.
