The room was mostly clean. It just didn’t feel clean. The windows were absolutely filthy. The bath tub was slow to drain so you had to stand in water.
Staff seemed nice. We we in a hurry in the morning so we didn’t stop for breakfast. And the next morning we slept in until after 9. Parking was fine. And it was easy to find.

My tub ran hot water constantly. Not a drip, a stream. Had to keep the bathroom door shut to keep the temperature and humidity down in the rest of the room. There is no hot tub. It wasnt out of order, it was nonexistent. Not impressed with the breakfast. And it has to be eaten in the breakfast area. No taking it to the room. So plan to bring the whole family down with you. There was one kind and friendly staff member. I wish I had gotten his name.

Staff was definitely accommodating but the room/hotel surely needed updating and maintenance. My mom stayed in the adjoining room, and she was horrified by the mattress stains and also said the bottom of the bed was broken and was barely holding the mattress. Beds and pillows were horrible to sleep on; we all left with back aches and headaches.

Old, everything painted over quickly and not very well, things broken and outdated, and just not a pleasant stay for someone looking for a nice place to spend the night. Really should have cost 80 dollars for the stay with taxes and fees not 100. Just too much for what it was really.

The staff were genuinely friendly, not fake polite like in some places. They offered to help carry my bags, gave me directions to local spots, and always greeted me with a smile. That kind of hospitality makes a big difference.The pool area looked great, and the breakfast had lots of options. For the price, this place easily beats others nearby. Previously I lived at different hotels but this I like best at the price I pay.If you care about cleanliness, this motel won’t disappoint. The rooms, bathrooms, and even the hallways looked spotless. Overall, it’s fine for what it is, especially for the price. I would describe it as more of an “elevated motel” than a true hotel. The property itself is quite run down and definitely shows its age, but it covers the basics. The bed was clean, and there was plenty of hot water. Beyond that, there’s not much to it.

Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly and professional. I didn’t have a bad experience with them at all, and they did their best to make guests feel welcome. It’s just that at a certain point, their friendliness can’t fully make up for how tired and dated the property feels.

If there’s another place available at a similar price when booking, I would definitely look elsewhere. I wouldn’t hate staying here again if it was the only option, but honestly, it probably wouldn’t even make my list next time.

We walked into our room after a late check-in from visiting our son in Iowa City. Pulled back the blanket to find black hairs everywhere. Then the bug came out and we immediately left. The smell was awful. We still paid for one of two nights and the staff was nice about it and apologized but it was nothing like the pictures and we ended up having to drive another hour south to find an open hotel with a vacancy. We were too tired to ask for a refund or even try to keep explaining why we left as there seemed to be a language barrier with the overnight clerk so they got a free night out of us but I will say they were apologetic, didn't charge us for our second night but they really need to check rooms before checking people in. We travel frequently and this was one of the worst rooms I've seen but I can't complain about the staff, they honestly just didn't care that we left so I'm assuming this has happened before.

The room arrangement didn’t allow for the sofa bed to be extended with the doors to the main bedroom open, but it was nice to have two bathrooms in the family suite. The staff was very accommodating in bringing sheets for the sofa bed/towels for the family (there weren’t enough linens in a the start). The bed was comfortable. It was a nice place to stay for a night.

Can't take breakfast to your room. Not enough tables for all guests to sit in the dining area. My shower didnt work. I had to wash my hair in the bathroom sink. There was no hair dryer. I needed to iron my clothes. There was no iron or ironing board. The TV wouldn't work. I found out when i got there that i had to pay a $50 deposit on the room.

Great value for the price! The hotel is budget-friendly and offers the basics for a comfortable stay. While the building could use some updating & the work in progress, it's clear that the staff are doing their best with what they have. Our room was clean and provided everything we needed. The overnight staff member was especially outstanding—friendly, hard-working, and always helpful throughout our stay.

The complimentary breakfast was a convenient option to start the day, and though it was simple, it’s nice that it’s included. Coffee and warm items like eggs, sausage, and biscuits were available every morning. The effort to provide hot breakfast is appreciated.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, which made a big difference. With some renovations and a few updates this place could really shine. Overall, it’s a decent place for travelers on a budget, and the hospitality of the team truly stands out.

You can tell the owners care about the property. It's an old facility, but taken care of. Aside from the sticky floor, our room was clean & comfortable. The pool was perfect for my 7 year old & never anyone else in it. We didn't get down for breakfast before 9am most days, but there seemed to be a nice variety. Lots of shopping & dining supper close by. Try Granite City for a meal - yum! Definitely would stay here again, for the money savings vs other options.

Affordable stay with good staff

On-site staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good with decent variety. Waffle maker, scrambled eggs, brown and serve sausage, biscuits and gravy. Plus bread/toast, bagels, prepackaged muffins, milk, oj, Apple juice, yogurt. Food was plentiful.

The property was in decent condition overall, but was a bit shabby in the room. Bathroom had stained shower curtain and towels. Cracked plaster over shower, screw holes in walls, sink faucet missing an aerator. Small issues but just looks a bit worn down.

That said, the room was clean and comfortable. Quiet even though it is in a busy part of town. Near restaurants and shopping. Easy to find and well lit parking.

The price was very reasonable.

One issue was that the online check-in said earliest check-in was 4pm and checkout was 12pm. Turns out check-in was 3pm; checkout was 11am. That’s Wyndham’s fault. Not the property’s. (Maybe call the property if you want to know the accurate checkin/checkout times.

Everything was fresh, and I enjoyed the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of the breakfast area. It was perfect for fueling up before heading out for the day.
The hotel has clearly undergone some recent renovations, and the updates were noticeable in several areas. The renovation is still going on while the rooms still have some older elements, they were clean and well-maintained. The hotel is clearly working on making continuous improvements, and it shows in the overall feel of the place.

I looked at previous comments and was a little concerned 😟. However, when I arrived I was happily greeted and checking in was quick. When I entered the room I was pleasantly surprised. The layout of the room was what we needed, and it was clean! When I checked out I questioned the 2 gentlemen about the rating and comments and was told they have new management! So they are improving things. As i discussed with staff the renovation take some time but after that the will be awesome. I definitely recommend it.

Very disappointed stay

When arriving the front dest clerk was hard to understand with his accent. The hotel itself smelled like great grandma's house, musty. The pool was out of order do to license issues. I had forgotten my charger cable and asked the desk clerk if Dick's sold them he informed they did, since we were located on the backside of the store I ask which way would be the quicker way, it ended up being the long way and it was a cold day. I had forgotten my toothbrush and toothpaste and went to the desk to see if they had one and was informed that they did not. I have never been to a hotel that didn't have a complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste, very disappointed.

The pool had been closed for an extended period but still advertised as operating. My bed smelled like urine and some room furniture was broken. The desks clerk placed an unauthorized charge on my credit card and simply wouldn't come out of their living quarters as persons repeatedly rang the buzzer attempting to check out in the morning. I would sooner sleep in the car than to stay there again.

This property is in dire need of repairs, refurbishing. Chipped furniture, everything is worn. One of the lamp shades looked like it had been crushed and reshaped for use. And the shower didn’t work. I doubt the shower was even connected.
