Should advise that East St is on other side of railway as well. Reception very helpful to me. Steakhouse was good. Did not realise that we were going to hear trains all night, all good though as we are not precious and enjoyed watching the coal trains while we were sitting on balcony but prefer not to hear during the night.

Very clean, secure parking & a very friendly receptionist.
Had to go off premises & downstairs to smoke on the street, which isn’t ideal for a single female, yet other worse behaviours were expected to be tolerated by myself eg screaming kids & cursing mother & constant noise with doors slamming next door at all hours, yet despite having the quiet balcony, I had to put up with the cursing & screaming next door, yet not allowed to smoke on a balcony when all other windows were closed. Also no noise after a certain time, but screaming kids & cursing mothers, and doors slammed is acceptable behaviours compared to a responsible female smoker Having their safety at risk by being outside on the street after dark

Communication with Oaks was difficult, off shore. Bath towel had holes in it. View was not what is in picture and told what I would get. Spa did not work and had tiles and a cap and hat should be on the drain was missing waiting for someone’s foot to get caught.
TV’s are cheap and picture crap and the bedroom one was size of a computer screen.

Just a quick one night stay passing through. We seemed to get upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom apartment which made the value a little better. Our room backed onto the the train line and it could be loud at times. It's ok, but we would probably try somewhere else in the future.

Good location with excellent parking. Supermarket and resturants in walkable distance. Right next to major train line, and near the hospital, so sirens and teain noises mey bother some. so ask for room on non trainline side. Also West street is cut in half by the trainline, so make sure you enter 1 West street on the Sat nav, as searching by name, you end up at a Sushi resturant .

There were no dedicated disability parking areas for guests in the secure parking or parking close to a lift for people with disability. A great week long break based at Oaks Aspire Ipswich, alternating between local area and visiting Scenic Rim. Staff were friendly, room was spacious, facilities were as expected, weather was variable but balcony was large with both an open and covered area. Separate study area was a bonus. Great location near top of town eateries and easy walking distance to Mall & Riverlink.

I found that the first park I was allocated was VERY DIFFICULT TO ACCESS. Fortunately, Brittany in reception changed this for a more easily accesses park. However this was occupied by a resident who had two cars. Again. Brittany came to my aid and sorted it out. Third time lucky!

Room was clean and comfortable.

Position very convenient.

I had a lot of trouble using my key to get in. After four trips down to reception and a change of keys, the man on reception, whose name I don’t remember went up to the room with me and showed me how to get in. The trick is to turn the key in the lock,PHYSICALLY hold the key in that position then use the other hand to turn the handle to open the door. I have never had to have two hands free to open a door before.

As I am eighty-two, I didn’t find this convenient as I had to deposit everything I was carrying on the floor before going through this process to actually open the door which had to be held open with one hand as the door had a very strong self- closing fitting, before being able to access the room.

Other than this, my stay was great.

The staff upon check in and beforehand when making phone enquiries were excellent - very professional yet friendly and polite. On-site secure parking was appreciated and easy to access. The main issue we had staying here was the cleanliness of the apartment. When moving the beds apart in the room, there was an accumulation of old rubbish underneath as well as rubbish and dirt underneath the couch cushions also. This to me meant that the property is given only a surface/basic clean between stays when I feel that given this is a popular chain hotel with a good reputation, a deeper clean is appropriate and necessary for guest comfort. The spa was not working also which was disappointing. I would stay here again in future but only if the cleanliness was improved.

I didn’t have a physical credit card which was required. I could pay for the room with a electronic credit card but not for the hold on your funds for any expenses on the room after you leave.
The receptionist said that if I didn’t have a physical credit card I couldn’t stay at the hotel.

Why would you rent a room between a place that has a dog that barks every time a person gets out of the lift and an other room with a cat that meows continuously while it’s owner is out.
Then there is the people working there that pick up their drug deals opposite the car park entrance! They can’t even wait to get inside to check what they just bought.

I won’t stay there again.

I booked 7 nights expecting a full kitchen and got a caravan size fridge and NO stove. Expecting views over oval ( because that’s the room I clicked on) and got the railway tracks and constant trains. I want NO smoking and got someone on the floor above constantly smoking.
