The Mirador de la Puerta del Sol hotel has an excellent location, the hotel is very well maintained and the rooms too, the reception is a small place but they make the registration fast, clean rooms, and it has a refrigerator and heating, air conditioning, the hotel has a good price per night, an area where you can eat your own food and heat it up and it is most recommended if you want to be close to the center of Madrid.

The hotel was perfect for me. If you are looking for no frills, good, clean, safe and confortable place to rest after a long day of sightseeing this is a good choice. Good A/C and clean bathroom. Beds were confortable and clean. The location near Puerta del Sol for me is ideal. The hotel has elevator and a lounge area were you could eat take out good in confort. The rooms are very quiet. There was a concert at Sol with hundreds of people and the sound didn’t intrude. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only warning is to not use the Expedia map link, it takes you to the wrong place a few meters away but enough to make you concerned. Instead type the address from the invoice and you’ll get there just fine. I would definitively recommend for those looking foe this type of hotels.

I would not stay there again. Cons: room felt like a trap, too small and rundown, no air, windows would not open completely, bed was too soft, big stains in the furniture, strong smell of cheap cleaning products. Pros: location was where I wanted it, next to Puerta del Sol, and staff was nice.

This property is smack dab in the middle of everything. I was able to walk to everything from Retiro Park and the Prado Museum... to the Royal Palace on the other side of town. It is situated on a busy pedestrian-only street, so your driver will have to drop you off a block or two away. The front desk staff workers were outstanding. The room was small, but clean and had all that I needed.

The hotel is in the perfect location in the middle of everything in Madrid. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. The building itself is old and you can hear the noise from the wood floors when other guests walk in the hallways. The room we stayed in was really small with small beds which for me was not comfy but ok. I'm 5'8 160# but anyone bigger would have a very uncomfortable sleep. One thing they really need to do is to update the showers in the bathroom. They were the \"portable\", kit showers and you can hardly fit inside it's so small. But if you don't mind these things then it's a good hotel for the price.

I came to have a vacation with my son and have a good time. What it means to explore the Madrid as much as I can. Every single day of my 6 days of staying there, I couldn’t fall asleep at in the evening. It’s extremely, extremely loud. I was reading the response of the management of the hotel that they are working on the improvements of the windows in there since 2016, I guess nothing has been done, very disappointed.

The hotel is just off pubertal del sol and the second floor common area has a great view of street. There are many bakeries and restaurants in this area as well. Noise might be a problem if your room is on the street side of the property, but ours was pretty quiet since it was near the small courtyard ( not a nice view though). The hallway can be a little noisy.

Taxis cannot get to the property. Due to its closeness to Puerta del Sol, taxis are not allowed to enter the street where the hotel is located, so if you have luggage or have limited mobility then you have a serious problem and this hotel is not recommended. Otherwise, nice staff, small but clean rooms; no restaurant only vending machines, but outside there are places to eat or buy foodstuffs.

So close to everything! If you're going to stay in Madrid, stay in Puerta del Sol. Hotel El Mirador is close enough to the action without being too loud from all the performers in the plaza. Get a balcony room to watch all the people walking by under! So close to great restaurants, cafes, bars, discos, shopping, everything. Fast and easy check in. The showers have music in them!

The cleaners are extremely loud in the mornings so after a terrible sleep there is no chance of a sleep in to recover.
