Taste/Quality and price of food.
We ordered out and for 10 Omani Riyal we all ate, exceptional food, and had food left over for later.
Hotel was charging us 10 omani riyal each, 5 for our 8 years old (£50) for just one meal and taste and quality was not equal to outside restaurant food.
Taxi _ being ripped off, taxi driver arguing when challenges, stating your staying in 5 star hotel, paying 100 Omani Riyal (we were not) we can charge, if dont like it, go stay in 20 ORiyal a night in town etc _
Stopping our outside taxi picking us up, having walk in the heat with baby and daughter to get taxi, not being able to go see Salalah due to ridiculous taxi prices,
Even when got hotel taxi, window did not go down, no AC, car not up to standard etc

When we 1st arrived, having to wait over 3 hours for our room, no one coming over to offer or see how we doing etc
Baby had to sleep on the sofa,
We had to approach reception at 315, when check in was at 3, to enquire about our room

No indoor pool/privacy

Enjoyable, Relaxing Stay

The resort is nice and close to the attractions. Rooms are spacious and interestingly they have a room fully equipped for people with disability. There is a play room for the kids in the lobby. Breakfast buffet is good as well the big nice swimming pool with sliding for the kids. The area is nice for walking. People are soo friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend it.

Two concern : the receptionist did not give me full detail of what I can get or how to get the in the facility, I have to ask for everything. 2nd: as 5 star resort the breakfast was normal with less choice and same plate every day.

Really Really Really bad.
Came at around 2:30 received the room at approximately 3:30.
Was given a wrong room and had to move again.

Next day i was told to leave at 12:00 pm becuase they were fully booked which was not true because the new law in Oman is they are only allowed to book 75% of the hotel due to covid-19.
I told them my flight is at 11:00 pm at least give me till 3:30 because i received the room late and you gave me a wrong room.
The reply was sorry sir this is our policy and were fully booked.

Many thanks for you the good services overall.
I but I did not see pid parking, otherwise I will park, I have asked them for the parking which in front of reception, but they said it is for some special guest. And down parking there is a high risk for car damage because of parachute iron.

Overall I am happy to stay in Hilton Salalah Resort.

Actually I already wrote my Comments for your good hotel, i repate

1) I fave problem with food as there were no any vegetable cook by olive oil,
2) no good green and black olive oil in breakfast
3) over boiled eggs which is dangerous for health
4) most of the meat , chicken either fried or by alot of oily sauces.

All above complain advised to Mr Ahmet food manager who is very nice very cooperative man and he assist me alot for the food ,
Also Elena in reception is very good girl.

So if food improve people from Mediterrania will have muxh wnjoyable stat in tour hotel

Great Room! Ocean is further away than expected.

The room was fabulous and newly renovated. We only had one patio chair, but they brought another one up right away. Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. Pool was refreshingly chilly, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. We were happy to lounge out by the pool, however the walk to the ocean is further than I expected. Once you make the walk, you will find it breathtakingly beautiful. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

All facilities are very old and poorly maintained. Food is expremely bad and crazy overpriced (do not even waste your time going for any on the restaurant). Reception staff is the only positive thing in the entire resort. At best it is a 3star resort which ruined Hilton name for me

pool timing up to 8:00 PM need adjustment as we are tourist during day visiting touristic places we will go back to hotel around 6:00 Pm so we cant enjoy the pool max up to 8:00 PM plus the birds so bothering so many birds on the pool even they mess up with the seats and whatever they can see big bird with noisy sounds

Fantastic service.

The staff is so friendly and so helpful - really the highlight of our stay. Right from when we arrived, our bags had been delayed by Oman Air, but of course the Hilton Staff took care of all the details and contact with the airline and we got our bags once they arrived. Check-in staff was fantastic as was every single member of the staff that we encountered. We were able to check-in well before the check-in time with no problem which was beyond appreciated. They were always sure to check if we needed anything. In the evening, the lady at the Mayfair Cafe prepared me a fantastic ginger tea in the evening. The food was tasty. The location of the hotel is a bit far from everything, a new hotel is in the process of being built next door, but given that many people hire a car and drive around its not a problem. The pool is nice but not the biggest.

The hotel is a bit old. The front desk staff was nice fast. We had no other encounters with them later on. The pool has a round shape so it's recommended for people who really like to swim, because basically you just can't. Baby's pool was ok. The hotel has access to the beach. But right next to the hotel there are some major constructions so my advise is to book if possible on the other end.

The hotel is ageing and looks not very well maintained. Nobody to greet you at the restaurant for breakfast: looks like anybody can can come in and out.
The pool is small but water is temperature controlled.
The room is OK except the bathtub: no water pressure and when you switch from tab to shower, water still runs out from tab.
On top of that, could not connect to Internet and nobody was able to fix it.
Not worth the price.

Overall a nice stay with friendly service.

Staff was super nice but there is major construction going on next door and it overlooks the pool area so for a couple of days relaxing by the pool was accompanied by the rattling of jack hammers. Hotel is not super new, getting a little shabby around the edges, but in general, a decent place. Staff should make sure though that bottled water is replaced in the rooms daily as I generally do not drink tap water on vacation and some days there were be two bottles, some days one, some days none. Having the car rental on site was great and it was easy access. It does have a lovely view of the port so if that kind of thing bothers you, it might not be for you, but HUGE beach.

The Hilton is a lovely hotel in a fairly central location to the sights we had planned to visit. The beach and pool area was beautiful. However be aware of the Mosquitos. We also found big black bugs in our room as we were checking out. Rooms are in need of some pest control.

Because it's very nice and clean however the location also nice in quiet area.
In my opinion the hotel needs to make an activity for guests. Like fishing and sea trips. And jet ski, aqua bisicle, kayak boats.

The hotel is damp and showing its age, the restaurants were under-staffed and the quality of the food on offer was generally poor. Nice hotel, but has no personality.

I try to stick to global brands but this time I think I made a mistake. Staff was overworked. Probably because it was high season. I paid for a mountain view suite but was given a parking lot facing room. I would consider it as fraud but I know Hilton will find ways to explain itself out of it. What a Shame. Kids club was nice. Parking was good. Location was decent. But you don't get the bang for your buck. Stick to one of the local brand resorts. They are much better.

Central beach hotel

This hotel is located near the city centre yet on a large beach. The staff are more than accommodating and the food is top rate. My room was comfortable, quiet and spacious. The downsides were that the view from the beach was that of the heavy machinery at the port nearby. In addition, there is a new hotel under construction next door which could be a little noisy if your room backs onto the site. The hotel is a bit tired in spots and could use a renovation. In general, I would recommend this hotel but if you're looking for true luxury, try the Rotana which is further down the coast.

1. On arrival, no one To carry the luggage
2. I had booked for junior suite, but they allotted me facing parking lots and I have to change it & settled for deluxe room which is lower than my booking .
3. Takes several hours to come to clean the room.
4. The facility for health club very poor, no jacuzzi no steam room, only Sona room bearly fit for 1 person.
5. Upon departure, I called them to pickup my luggage, waited 25minutes, but no one appeared and took them by myself

I stayed at the Hilton Hotel in Salalah for 2 nights. The staff were friendly, however the breakfast was very poor for a 5 star hotel and their Transportation service never showed up, and almost caused me to miss my flight! I was leaving Salalah on an early morning flight leaving at 5 am on April 13. I requested for a transportation service to be ready at 3 am to take me from the hotel to the airport for my 5 am flight. I confirmed with the hotel about this transportation the day before, and paid the 14 Omani Riyal Fee to the hotel. The day of my flight, I went to the reception and informed them about my transportation request, and I had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the bus that did not even show up. There were no Taxis available at that time of day, nor were there any other forms of transportation…I got frustrated in the thought that I would be missing my flight! Fortunately, there was a security man who offered us a ride to the airport! I paid for a service I did not get.

Sadly the plague of sand flies and mossies amongst other things spoilt our visit. There was no kids entertainment except a small kids room. The bar by the pool stops serving alcohol between 3pm and 6pm. The breakfast was good but the buffet evening meal was pretty poor on most days. Hotel transfer to/from airport is 0R7 per head (about £13) each way a taxi costs OR7 each way.
Very very expensive for a few days, minimum for family of 3 just for breakfast and evening meal is way over £100.

We stayed there for the Xmas night with mi husband and 2 kids. We were before at the Marriot but we thought the Hilton was going to be better so we check in specially for that day. When I arrived it was completely dissapoinitng and we were absolutely wrong about Hilton. The hotel seems a route hotel, ok a good route hotel. It is completely tired, they didn't renovate or invest money since it was built like 10 years ago. The lobby didn t look at all like a 5 star hotel! I would rate it a 3, the same as the common areas!

We arrived at 9.00 pm and our room was not ready. We had to wait for 30 mn at the reception. We had booked a non smoking, sea view King Hilton Deluxe Plus room. We were \"upgraded\" to a smoking Junior Suite with a view on the shuttle buses parking space ! We couldn't have the curtains opened as the drivers had a direct view into our room.Of course, on the next morning we asked to move out of the suite and were given a double room on the 4th floor but still smoking,no balcony, partly sea view on the port cranes, main view on the land and a ciment factory. However, we chose to keep the room as we didn't want to spend our short stay in packing and unpacking ! We were 7 friends spending Eid holiday together and out of 3 double rooms, only one had a nice balcony with table and chairs overlooking the pool and a view on the ocean. 5 of us were very disappointed and we won't go back to this hotel on our next stay in Salalah.

A 5 Star that should be a 3 Star

My wife and I were disappointed with the Hilton, Salalah. Oman. For the more than $320 USD per night and the 5 star rating we expected much more. The rooms were average 3 star quality. The service was poor. We ordered 2 cappuccinos from room service at 4 PM and were told the coffee machine is off and to call back around 6 PM when they plan to turn the machine on again. We paid extra for a sea view and got a palm tree view and a screaming kids play area view. The staff tried but I feel like they are not supported by management to be able to provide 5 star service.

I was expecting a 5 stars hotel rating. By standards of other 5 stars hotels, I rate more like a 4 stars. Amenities are poor. No WIFI connections in the rooms and very limited coverage in the lobby are with a snail speed. A real disappointment for a five star rating.

Good base for exploring the Salalah region

Last minute Eid holiday booking travelling and as a result very expensive - over £700 for three nights, no breakfast. Hotel location was outside of Salalah and I was very relieved to have booked a hire car. Plenty of parking. I expected the location (out of town with distant views of Salalah docks), which wasn't a problem for me as I wasn't hanging around the hotel in the day. Nicely finished hotel - wide corridors, large rooms, comfy beds, good sized tv in the bedroom etc. Pool was very clean, but a bit smaller than I expected. The pool side bar appeared to have been abandoned, hence my rating of \"ok\" for the upkeep of the hotel. Internally everything at the hotel was clean and spacious. Very easy access to the beach. Staff were very friendly and responded to every request promptly (extra pillows, ice-cream not on the menu etc). I am not sure I would recommend this hotel as a romantic weekend away, but it is an excellent base for exploring the wider region in the Khareef and I would happily stay again.

This is nice hotel for Salalah which does not have high hotel standards, The staff are very friendly especially the front desk (Diana and Jose). The bank they have is very loud and can be heard from all over the hotel. This was slightly annoying for both guests and staff.

This hotel is punching above its weight if it insists on being classed as a 5 star hotel. It is already looking and feeling tired and the staff seem to personify there surroundings. Staff were on the whole pleasant but an undercurrent of apathy toward guests and a handful of down right rude staff made the experience a chore rather than a pleasure. The arrival of a large contingency of cruise ship passengers was enough to buckle an already poor level of service in the restaurant and bars but was seen as a suitable excuse. Surely if you are going to suddenly flex the number of guests using the facilities you have to flex the number of staff to look after them.... not at the Salalah Hilton! A middle of the road hotel not deserving of its room rates or stars. Sorry.

Overall…not a bad stay

The hotel could use some touch ups here and there. The bed wasn’t as soft as I would have liked for it to be, but the room was cozy, spacious, and clean. The food in the hotel club was excellent. I ordered a cheese burger from the late night room service menu and it was delectable. Two thumbs up! Upon check in I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who went out of her way to assist me with my reservation. There was a gift shop for souvenirs, a mini mart for snacks and toiletries. The hotel is located right off the beach. The pool has a slid and the bar has a hookah guy. Nothing was located around the property but the cabs will take you just about anywhere you want to be.

The stay was great! The hotel and amanities were very nice and the breakfast buffet delicious! the taxi service from the hotel should be closer viewed by the hotel. Considering that it is a 5* Hotel they should not allow dirty taxis pick up guests. Also guests should be informed about the taxi rates. Service at check-in and check-out was very good as well as in the restaurant and pool area. the proximity to the port does not offer the nicest view but is also not disturbing. rooms close to the elevators are not so convinient due to the music and the noise of elevator. but as the rooms are quite big it's ok.

I remember mfirst stay seven years ago the hotel was new back then and nothing had been renewed.comparing the services with another five stars hotel in the same area they are a bit advanced upon your hotel because they provide wi fi service even in your bed. i like to stay at hilton because its quite and simple. the food was great. thank you

Nice beach location, but....

For a Hilton 5* beach hotel, we were unhappy with a few things - Charge for internet in room!!!! No hotel info in room about what facilities/restaurants etc available and the opening times. No TV channel list..., daily newspaper not recieved in hotel until 11pm NIGHT!!!! No male spa for massage or treatments. Otherwise the Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Nice place and location ok if you get a sea view. You need a car to get around. Lots to see around Salalah.

Friendly staff and efficient check-in. Our room was comfortable and quite spacious. Decent size swimming pool but uncomfortable sunbeds. We ate a number of meals at two of the restaurants and overall the food was quite disappointing . Breakfast service was very slow during the Eid break. A welcoming hotel overall with a beautiful natural beach but because of the inconsistent quality of the food it did not quite provide value for money.

The Hotel Hilton in Salalah

I stayed with my family during Ramadhan. Dinner quality was lower than our expectation. I didn’t get any information from the hotel that swimming pool was not available. It was under repairs. However, I was stratified with cleanliness and comfort of rooms.

R & R during the rain

The weather was rainy and foggy. The rooms smelled a little damp due to all the humidity. The pool area was nice as was the morning breakfast (which was included). The lobby and the staff were excellent! and the coffee shop where you can get wireless was a great place to relax. The trip was impacted by the weather....so we really didn't do much.
