Booked a room for seven nights, but checked out after the first night. It was incredibly hot that week, around 105 degrees. The room had no air conditioning, or fans. The windows could not be open during the evening because there were no screens in the windows and with the mosquitoes and bats flying around that was not an option. It was cooler outside than in the room.
When I decided to check out the following day the staff were apologetic, but there was nothing they could do.
The resort, as of now has not offered a refund for the remaining six nights.

Wouldn't stay again

We stayed in an apartment for 4-6 people for 3 nights. Not happy on a few accounts.
1. There is an exhorbitant deposit required on arrival.
2. There was a detailed inventory we had to check through on arrival and a cost per item if anything was missing. (Some things were missing when we arrived!).
3. We were presented with sheets/towels on arrival.
4. The booking said they spoke French and English. On arrival the person on reception didn't speak any English (although there were other people on reception on other days who did speak some English). (I know it's our problem really for not knowing too much French !).
5. The apartment wasn't well designed. Toilet upstairs, bathroom downstairs. Not much room downstairs and apart from hard chairs next to the table there was only seating for 3.
6. Outside, there was a table and chairs but again, only seats for 3.
7. The grounds (grass area) didn't look particularly well maintained.
The pool and jaccuzzi looked good although we didn't use those.
You can walk into town. It takes about 30 mins which is fine if you're going in for a few hours.

For the price I paid I was VERY Happy with Résidence Lagrange Vacances Le Clos des Vignes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location right next to the park / beach . We ate out most of the time but everything appeared to be within the apartment for those who eat in. Furniture a bit jaded, but again for what I paid for it I can't complain. Would definitely return.

Perfect place to stay with your family. There's a lot to do in the surrounding area. 5mn away from the supermarket Leclerc and 10mn away from the amazing town of Bergerac. Great and vibrante at night with all the little restaurants and places to enjoy the culture and music. The only downside of the property was the lack of air-conditioning.

Helpful, kind staff but run down apartment

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Safe enclosed hotel with plenty of free parking.
Apartment was falling apart. Furniture and fixtures needed updating, wardrobe doors not functioning properly, microwave needed a deep clean. The stairs were extremely noisy and were coming away from the wall, it's probably a matter of time before the structure gives way. Stained sheet provided. There's no way the 6/8 apartment can comfortably accommodate that many people given that 3 would have to be sleeping downstairs on the pull out sofa. These were closed during our stay and we could barely get around the living area. We only stayed for 2 nights so the flows didn't really affect us but I would not recommend booking it for a longer stay.

Complicated check in. Too many checks and needed to book an appointment to check things before leaving. No internet provided and daily charge very expensive.
They took a 400 euro deposit and they still have not arranged a refund six days after check in. They are only open during certain hours and are difficult to contact.

Nice , quiet area about 25mins walk from town centre. Pombonne Park is just behind the property and it is a lovely place to walk.
Good swimming pool on the residence, tho’ might be busy in high season.
Apartments are basic, and could do with being refurbished.

Lovely spacious apartment and complex. Heated pool was great for cooling off. Slightly out of town, about half an hour walk but this meant a quite location and the complex also backs onto a beautiful park and lakes. Staff were all very friendly and helpful making the stay relaxing and enjoyable. Well organised early morning check out and ample parking.

This is not a hotel it is apartments to rent

When at arrival you are given an itinary sheet to fill in of all the items in the apartment, you have to count all items plates cutlery etc to tally with list, you also have to pay a €300 deposit, on leaving clean yourself or pay €50 for the cleaner.
Lack of lighting means arrival after dark is dark
Furnishing could not be more uncomfortable.

Situation is good, pool is clean and good, staff are helpful.
It's ok on a budget but I wouldn't stay again

Easy access to the town, nice, clean and comfortable residence. Internet a bit slow but worked for communication with family overseas. Nice size swimming pool and a little playground for the kids. Bread bought from the reception was fantastic! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends.

Decent accommodation but a few grunbles

This is a holiday resort village with apartment type accommodation, a pool, sauna, gym equipment and childrens playing area. Apartments are adequate, clean with a small kitchen and balcony or terrace. The pool is good but a lack of an on site restaurant means you have to drive out of the complex in search of a restaurant. Beds have to bed made up yourself and there is a 35 Euro cleaning charge if you are not prepared to clean the apartment on exit. Despite these grumbles I would probably stay again.

Good value for our short stay

Having the apartment for the three days we were in area was great for the family we were able to prepare family meals and there was nice pizza place just up the road. Only down fall (but most of France seems to be same) no ceiling fans and bedrooms were very hot. Also on arrival we were presented with an itinerary of kitchen goods, furniture, etc and asked to check everything there and return form next day. I found this annoying as I expect housekeeping to have already made sure everything there for our arrival, I do not think guests should be asked to do that. It put a little bit of pressure on us on our short stay and left us a little miffed, but otherwise had a nice stay and would recommend.

A relaxing stay in a lovely location

Can't really fault this place for the price we paid. The one bedroom apartment was basic, but met our needs well. The pool area was nice, with plenty of sunbeds most of the time, and the location next to a lake, beach and nature park was just lovely. The walk into Bergerac was pleasant (if you take the longer route through the lakeside paths and trees), and the town itself is delightful. Not much here to entertain kids (a small park, table tennis....), but it's perfect as a relaxing couple's holiday. Five minutes walk to a supermarket, and 5 minutes in the other direction to an amazing restaurant La Flambee! All in all a very peaceful and enjoyable holiday, for a great price!

Nice apartment close to country park.

I was allocated a second floor (of two) flat with lounge/kitchen, bedroom with en-suite. Bigger than I expected, large balcony, very well-equipped and very clean. TV had only French stations.
Very quiet, much to do with the solid build quality of the rooms and also to do with the reserved nature of the (mostly French) clientele.
The staff spoke goodish English, were very pleasant , accessable and helpful.
The pool and mini gym were adequate.
E Leclerc supermarket 10 min walk away, Lidl 20 min. Pleasant country park with lake just 50 yards away.
You need to hire a car really. Also , it is not a very lively place.

Could not ask for anythng nicer good area for all amenities, shops quite near by, everthing you need for families is on site pool and childrens area.
The room/house we stayed in was excellent clean with plenty of space, all the comforts of home.
It was not to far from the main town and quite easy to get to other places.

Good location on the outskirts of the town but within walking distance of the centre and only 15 mins from Bergerac Airport. The appartments are situated next to a country park which has small lake for swimming, there is a large supermarket 300m from the site. Car hire is useful if you want to visit the surrounding area (which is very picturesque) as public transport is not available!

These are excellent quiet, well-equipped and well-kept apartments about 20-30mins walk from the centre of Bergerac. They're lovely - I had 2 bedrooms, downstairs shower & sink, upstairs toilet, kitchen, lounge, patio with tables & chairs, TV, phone, dishwasher etc etc. The flat was clean and pleasant and the staff were helpful although the reception is only open certain hours which made it a bit awkward sometimes. The supermarket (E Leclerc) is less than 10mins walk. There is a swimming pool, sauna, mini-gym and a park next to the apartments - the whole area is surrounded by countryside. I would highly recommend this place - it's a great place to stay for surprisingly little money.

quiet out of town area

It would have been useful to know how far out it was, as we were without a car. It was at least a 40 minute walk to town and there are no buses available. The property was good but there was no information in the room such as maps, local markets, etc. Other self catering properties i have stayed in france had a far more welcoming feel. there was no cleaning equipment, not even a dish cloth yet we were expected to clean it. There is only one taxi firm in Bergerac and they seem to charge what they like. Hire a car.

Petit village vacances super mignon.
Les personnes à l'accueil sont de bon service. Il manquait quelques petits trucs dans la maisonette ils n'ont pas hésiter une seconde à nous les donner.
La literie était top.. Très rare dans de nombreuses locations.

Linge de toilettes + draps + couettes fournies et tres propres.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans la location et cerise sur le gâteau nous avons eu la chance d'être surclassé en maison avec jardin.

Nooit meer terug naar deze accommodatie

Wij verbleven met z'n tweeën in een \"6 persoons\" accomodatie. In deze accommodatie kun je echt niet met 6 personen verblijven naar onze mening, hooguit met 4. De bedden zijn bizar slecht. De matrassen zijn nog geen 10cm dik, in Nederland zouden we dit kindermatrassen vinden (en zelfs die zou ik er niet op laten slapen). Ook is de bedbodem gewoon een houtenplaat, waardoor het bed ook nog eens heel hard is. We werden meerdere keren per nacht wakker en zijn dan ook na 3 nachten weer vertrekken ipv na de geplande week.
Tevens is de accommodatie niet gezellig ingericht, dit is niet per se hinderlijk maar wel jammer. Daarnaast is een groot deel van het personeel niet vriendelijk en behulpzaam, een uitzondering daargelaten. Ook staat op de site dat ze Engels spreken, terwijl dit bij de meeste medewerkers niet het geval is.
De accomodatie was overigens wel schoon.
De wifi hebben we niet geprobeerd, omdat we deze belachelijk duur vonden. De televisie deed het eerst niet en toen deze het eindelijk deed bleek dat er enkel en alleen Franse zenders waren, zelfs geen Engelstalige.
Al met al zullen we absoluut niet terug komen naar deze accommodatie, ondanks dat hij wel goedkoop is. Een goed bed is misschien wel het belangrijkste van een accomodatie waar je langere tijd verblijft.

Le lit n’était pas fait. J’ai dû faire le ménage en partant et défaire mon lit. On m’a demandé une caution de 400€ sans faire d’état des lieux. Horrible quand on vient pour un congrès, qu’on arrive à 10h le soir et qu’on repart à 7h30 le matin sans petit déjeuner! Puisque le petit déjeuner n’était servi qu’à 9h!!!! Très mauvais souvenir. On ne m’y reprendra plus à réserver sur Expédia. 70€ la chambre sans confort!!!

Cocina mini donde no dejaron ni lo mínimo para poder cocinar (léase algo de jabon, estropajo, sal, ...) Solo dejaron 1 rollo de papel de wc para 4 personas 5 días en el apartamento. La litera era un peligro y no apta para adultos. Las camas incómodas. Menos mal que había mesa y sillas fuera para poder comer porque dentro del apartamento era una incomodidad por la pequeñez del sitio. Ahhh y si quieres wifi pagando y caro.
