Perfect hotel

So nice, I was worried reading its old reviews at first,
but after one night stay - expecially breakfast, found its actually so nice, and the fascilities are clean. Breakfast so nice!!
Hotel counter ladies so kind and helping, even guards too kind.
Among my more than 100+ hotels as business traveller, one of the top 5 hotels - at least my stay.
** But need a car, around these area is a bit inconvenient for foreigner

2 night great stay

This place is a must if you’re in the area.

Service was white glove top-notch, they upgraded me even tho this was not a VIP access hotel from Expedia.

The room was super spacious, luxury apartment style, everything is there for your needs.

Room service is a tad expensive, but a small nag considering the overall experience was enjoyable.

WiFi is good.

Will 100% stay again without hesitation.

Worse Kantary Hotel Experience

I have been to Kantary Hotels for a few branches but never experienced such a poor service like this one.
There was some problem with the aircond which we did inform early evening. The guys came and told us they fixed the aircond but it wasn't. Later the night the aircond didn't function as it was supposed to. They simply asked us (pregnant women and 2-1/2 year-old kid) to move to the new room in the middle of the night without sympathy! this hurt me the most. They could have taken action earlier or checked prior to our stay.

Everything was excellent except:
The smell of sewage in some areas around the pool on the top floor of the hotel is probably from the flower pots.
The amount of detergents in the water was a little too big - I couldn't swim without binoculars.
The noise from the street and the air conditioner at night was unlikely and hindered us sleeping more for me than the children.
Hotel staff have no in-depth knowledge or contribute to the success of the trip in the old city of Ayutthaya. For example, the only way to take a trip to Ayutthaya is in Tok Tuk. 150 baht one direction. A taxi driver who brought me to the hotel offered to take me a whole trip around the city for 500-400 baht all day. The hotel staff had no idea where the boat tours organized around Ayutthaya came from. So we had to rent a private boat for an hour and a little at 800 baht without a guide who knows English.

This is a worn out, unkempt and unclean property on the side of a busy highway. I blame myself for not looking at the surrounding area closer when I booked, but there is absolutely nothing walkable nearby as it sits in a very industrial area. Our room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in what looked like a very long time, and the balcony and the window ledges (albeit there would be no view to speak of anyway) was so thick with bird feces, to the point where we wouldn't have even considered opening the doors. For a hotel of only 10 years old, it is obvious that upkeep is not high on the list of priorities for the owner as it appears much, much older. This was definitely the low point of our two week vacation where we stayed in 7 different hotels - so we have lots to compare it to.

Excellent quality - well appointed apartment

A well appointed and looked after serviced apartment,15mn drive from the train station and the heritage site. So you need to take a tuk tuk to get there at a flat rate of 150 baht each way. No point in bargaining as it is a flat rate. The area is quite industrial / business but there is a very nice massage place 50 metres down the road and a few places to eat scattered about as well as a Tesco supermarket. In the apartment you have fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave, oven and a washing machine handy when like me you don't like travelling with dirty clothes. No dishwasher but the cleaner will do the washing up for you. (Nice one when on holiday). Wifi is good. As ever we never bother watching TV when on hols so no comment here.
We booked a one bedroom apartment - it was the only one available on hotels.com but we got a free upgrade to a two bedroom apartment. There is a gym on site and a lovely roof top pool and jacuzzi.
The reception staff was a bit confused as we booked for 3 people but the booking mentioned breakfast for 2 people only which did not make sense. Anyway this was sorted straight away by reception. This is a very comfy place to stay in Ayutthaya if you don't mind not being in the heart centre but as transport cost is okay we were happy to stay there. Staff are very helpful, they printed our new flight boarding pass as our flight to Krabi had been cancelled by Nokair.

Great hotel for family and Japanese speakers.

Stayed for 2 nights while visiting monastries in Ayutthaua, Shinburi amd Angthong. Room is very clean. Facilities in hotel excellent. Buffet breakfast offers wide selection. Learned that the hotel is also a service apartment for Japanese workers in Ayutthaya, the live streaming of Japanese TV channels in the room is a big plus. I enjoyed the Japanese TV channels too because I know the language well. Room comes with a mini kitchnette with all the necessary cooking utensils to make a simple meal. As such, it is suitable for family travellers with elderly and small children too.

Wonderful hotel/apartment in Ayutthaya, Thailand

I cannot say enough good things about Kantary Hotel and Serviced Apartments. We traveled to Thailand to visit our daughter. After reviewing the hotel options available on Expedia we selected the Kantary because it offered a one bedroom apartment layout with room for us to enjoy time with our daughter.

There were some negative reviews on Expedia based on traffic noise from the nearby highway. While I noticed it on the first morning my husband and daughter were oblivious to the noise, and I never noticed it after the first day.

Kantary is a new building with a relaxing rooftop pool. There were many features that set the Kantary apart from other area hotels.
1. Our apartment included a clothes washer which meant we did not have to pack as many clothes. I did three loads during our 8 day stay.
2. The bed was remarkably comfortable.
3. It is comfortable and clean with excellent air conditioning, a huge bathroom with a great shower, and a kitchen. We also used their room service and had a pizza delivered, much better than eating out every meal.
4. We paid to add the breakfast buffet to our room rate and it was a huge bonus. The food was incredibly good and the service was even better. The pastries are amazing and they offer full Thai, Japanese and western food selections.
5. Best of all, the Kantary staff is committed to providing excellent service.
6. Kantary is off the island but the sites in Ayutthaya are spread out.

We would absolutely stay there again.

My family had the pleasure of staying here around Christmas time. The hotel helped us arrange a custom tour and even sent my Mom her coat after she left it on the tour. The room and in house restaurant were so nice we spent one entire day just enjoying the hotel.

Lovely hotel

On arrival was upgraded to the Penthouse suite, which was very nice, the hotel is very modern and service was good. The only criticism I would have, is the breakfast which had that awful American streaky bacon, which was rock hard. The hotel is in a reasonable position, and can hire a tuk tuk for 200 bht an hour which we did, and he took us to all the historical sites. I would recommend this hotel, just wish the breakfast bacon was edible.

Good hotel, noisy road

Kantary is a good and modern hotel, the rooms, actually apartments are well equipped and spacious. There is a nice swimming pool and gym on the roof top, that's a big plus.

The food from room service is very tasty and the breakfast good as well, egg station, fruits and wide choice of hot dishes.

The hotel has too building, one very close from a noisy road so better to stay in the main building, the one with the lobby and the pool.

The hotel is a nice gateway to go to visit ayutthaya or if you stay for business but you will need a taxi to move around, not many things to go at a walking distance from the hotel.

I will be back to Kantary for sure.

This is a fabulous facility and the staff was truly amazing. The only complaint is the location. It's quite a distance from the historical town and takes a (relatively) pricey tuktuk ride to get anywhere near where all the action is. If they would offer a free shuttle into town it would make the place practically perfect!

The hotel is just a short tuk tuk ride away from all the historical monuments. The hotel arranges reliable tuk tuks for their guests.

We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment even though we had booked a studio. The apartment was spacious and very clean.

Room service was good and prompt. Breakfast was good too.

The staff had very limited knowledge of English but we could make ourselves understood with a little effort.

A great clean, friendly and well equiped hotel

If you are visiting Ayuthaya this is the perfect place. Initially it appears to be on the outskirts of the town but it is easy and cheap to get a tuk tuk wherever you want to go. The initial impression is of a business hotel and in many senses it is but as a tourist it also worked. The rooms were really comfortable, easy internet connection and we had a superior room which was more like a little flat with its own kitchenette. the staff were really helpful. We only had breakfast in the hotel but the restaurants reception recommended were excellent, inexpensive and interesting locations. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi is good and there is a well equiped gym. So for a couple of days visiting the old temples in the town this is an excellent choice.

Kantary Ayutthaya- Nice hotel, bad service.

The hotel itself is very modern and comfortable, though while sitting on the couch we found used (not ours) tissues under the coffee table that had not been cleaned from the previous guests. We order room service dinner and the quality of food was AWFUL. The server dropped off the food, still wrapped in plastic, on the table and quickly left. No condiments, napkins, etc. were brought. About 30 seconds after the the server left, we called down and asked to have several basic things brought up to the room- ketchup, soy sauce, napkins and an ice bucket that was not brought the first time around. 30 minutes later, the items had still not been brought, the food was hardly edible, so we decided to walk to the Seven Eleven up the street to get dinner. On our way out, we let the front desk know the situation and they expressed some sympathy. At check out, I was surprised that we were still being charged for the dinner. The restaurant manager came out to meet us and though she litterally asked, \"do you want a discount, is that what you want?\" she refused to give us one. Terrible service and disgusting food. I will not go back.

Overall a good stay

It was overall a very nice stay. The amenities were very nice. I used the sauna and the steam room, but unfortunately they were powered off when I went up there so I had to wait for them to heat up. The room was very comfortable. I didn't understand having a washing machine in the rooms without a dryer or a drying rack or drying line. There is a very good night market near by, but walking there is a little scary, you have to walk over a very busy road.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Zufahrt zur Autobahn, wir hatten jedoch einige Mühe die Zufahrt zum Hotel zu finden. Von den Sehenswürdigkeiten in Ayutthaya ist das Hotel ca. 5 km entfernt. Unser Appartment war gross und gut eingerichtet, die Betten waren aber hart, und die Klimaanlage liess sich nicht wirklich steuern. Der Pool und Whirlpool auf dem Dach sind ein Highlight des Hotel, von oben hat man auch eine gute Aussicht. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig, die Qualität aber nicht ganz top. Das Verhältnis Preis-Leistung ist aber sehr gut.

Frühstück war eine Zumutung. Sauberkeit und Service beim Frühstück ebenfalls eine Zumutung. Waren im 15. Stock und noch immer war der Strassenlärm die ganze Nacht zu hören. Im Zugehörigen Kaffee war ein Bier erst ab 17h00 zu bekommen.
Preis / Leistung Stimmt hier bei weitem nicht. Keine 4 Sterne würdig.
