The staff was very attentive, everyone from the doormen, bar staff, reception, restaurants and management. The property was well maintained and had a charm that you wont find in the online photos. This is a must if you are fond of hotels with a soul, caring for the «golden-age» of travelling.

I booked a deluxe ocean view suite and expected a luxurious, top quality room for the super high price tag but was sadly disappointed. My room was very ordinary, lacking in style and comfort, the bathroom was spotless but dated. I was shown a renovated room as an alternative but it wasn’t much better. On the positive side the view was great and the staff were all very helpful.

Hotel’s version of junior suite is a joke. Basic (nice) room with two armchairs for USD 750 a night. Nothing about this room resembles anything of a suite. Moldy corridor added to our disappointment. Ok

Fabulous hotel with a top notch staff. We had a great check in with a welcome drink. Room was upgraded to a view of the ocean. Could have sat there all day!! Such a view!! Staff was professional and friendly. Went out of their way to help. Enjoyed the Club. Nice snacks and drinks. Breakfast was wonderful. Variety and service. Great quality. Area is quiet and safe. From start to finish, the staff at Miraflores park were cheerful, friendly, eager to assist and attentive to every detail. The rooms was comfortable and well provisioned. The dining options were fantastic and the pisco sour class offered at the bar was amazing. This was our best five star hotel experience to date and deserves a sixth star.

What an incredible stay - we wish we had more time here. First, the property is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms are stunning. We had a suite with ocean views where we could catch the sunset too. The staff went above and beyond - my husband was having breathing issues after arriving from Cusco and they did everything to support him during that time -- from on call doctors to extending our checkout time until our flight departed to constantly checking in on us. I would truly recommend this hotel to everyone --- you will not be disappointed!!!

Belmond is the Best

The Belmond in Lima ranks with some of the best hotels in the world. We had a suite facing the ocean. Lima is a great city to visit and this is a premier 5-star hotel. The service at levels is impeccable. My wife and I will be back.

Everyone was super nice, professional and helpful. Twice daily housekeeping. Gorgeous ocean view.
The morning buffet was delicious, beautiful fresh fruit, hot and cold items. Eggs cooked to order. Friendly service all overlooking the water.
Bar was wonderful. Quick upscale service. Snacks and drinks and even high tea.
Great location. Walk to big outdoor mall through a park/boardwalk of sorts. Beautiful views of the sea.
We all felt safe and slept great! Highly recommend

Every staff member I came into contact with was absolutely stellar! The bellman showed me around my room and pointed out important details. The bartender was supreme! I was the only one in the bar and I was reading a book and he turned up the light. He offered tea leaves to relax with tea when I got to my room. He showed me different places I could read if I wanted more privacy or if I wanted to be with people. The hostess at breakfast was attentive and very personal which made me feel so very welcome. At the front desk, I first asked for help to find someone to do a manicure. She offered a shop at Largomar and a small sho nearby. Later another person at the front desk together with the bellman helped me find a pharmacy where I could purchase an antacid. The bellman even offered to run over and get it gif me because I was expecting a driver to take me to the airport. Every step of the way your staff went above and beyond. Upon checking out the bellman took my bags and checked the room to ensure I did not leave anything behind. At the last moment I put my phone down to put on my coat and realized it in the elevator. By the time I returned to my floor the maid had already brought it down to the front desk. I’m a short time I had do many contacts with your staff and each and everyone of them held themselves to the highest standard and did do with ease and Grace. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Probably the best Hotel in Lima. Very accommodating within short notice. Their attention to detail really shows from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. We were surprised with a box of \"alfajores\" after asking the housekeeping staff where I could buy some around the city.

Conveniently located in Lima, Miraflores district by the coastal park, within walking distance of the shopping centers. Hotel facilities are awesome, staff, restaurant and lounge are excellent. Unfortunately due to our tight schedule we didn’t enjoy the hotel as much as we wanted. Our excellent experiences at two Belmond hotels in Peru were beyond our expectations.

40th Birthday Getaway

Celebrated my 40th birthday and got to stay at this magnificent hotel which is located in a nice area and is walking distance to many shops and restaurants! The hotel manager personally welcomed us while we were checking in and gave us excellent recommendations of places to visit and eat. The room they put us in was very spacious and had a ocean view. The bathroom was very nice with a separate tub and shower; and the shower had a rainfall shower head that had great water pressure. To top things off, there was a birthday cake waiting for me with a personal happy birthday greeting from the hotel manager. We checked out the rooftop pool, but didn’t go swimming because it was cold. Instead, however, my wife and I took advantage of the sauna and spa services at the hotel. For dinner, we decided to eat at the hotel’s restaurant Tragaluz which was fantastic. We ordered the Tuna Ceviche, Black Butter Grilled Scallops, and North Peruvian Grouper with Creamy Crab Rice which were all very yummy! Would definitely stay here again when visiting Lima!

Beautiful hotel and room. Bar and restaurant staff were great. There was some kind of construction going on behind our room which made it unusable during the day and unbearable the first night as work continued through the night even though we were told it wouldn’t and the hotel was full. At checkout, the front desk staff apologized and comped a couple of charges which was appreciated. The 1/2 day private tour that the hotel coordinated was awesome.

The only reason I did not give it all the stars available in the ranking is that we ask for the toilet flushing mechanism to be fixed on the day of our arrival and it was still not fixed by the time we left (we removed the cover and directly accessed the mechanism to flush the toilet). It sounds bad but was a minor nuisance. The hotel is otherwise superbly located in the Miraflores neighborhood, the staff is great and the amenities outstanding (roof pool, spa, breakfast area, restaurant, bar, executive lounge etc ...). Would go back without hesitation

Incredible staff. Absolutely feel comfortable relying on the concierge, Renzo. He will set you up with an amazing guide and fantastic dinner reservations. The beds and pillows are perfect. I could have stayed in the room all day if Lima hadn’t beckoned! FYI, the club rooms are completely worth it. The executive lounge is comfortable and has great food and drinks, not to mention a sublime view of the sunset!

Great customer service. Excellent location. We enjoyed access to the Executive Club on 10th floor. They allowed us to check out late on mid afternoon to accommodate our late night flight and we continued to have access to the Executive Club after the check out. Staff are professional, yet warm. The swimming pool is rather small, but it was not an issue during our stay because it was not crowded.

The Pisco sour and Cebiche class were great!

The hotel and staff were the utmost professional, friendly, and courteous. The moment we arrived was perfect in every manner possible. We arrived late and hungry. We were escorted to the restaurant, which turned out to be an outdoor patio with heaters. They provided a lovely wrap until we felt comfortable and cozy. The food was so delicious, the service was impeccable. In particular, one staff member stood out, Miguel, he was absolutely always there to help with anything we needed; directions to a restaurant, walking directions to various places we were interested in, taxis, luggage, you name it, he was incredible and so helpful. I loved this hotel and the staff!

SUMMARY: Terrible overall. This is not the place u want to stay if u will be showing up with tired-looking kids. Registration staff little more than thugs/scammers. Breakfast buffet average. General Manager Thomas Moon is outstandingly helpful though.
NOW MY STORY...For the sake of fair review, the hotel did offer my family of 4 one free dinner. I booked 2 oceanview junor suites. A Belmond email from an address [email protected] confirmed that I will have 2 connecting oceanview rooms. When we showed up, the registration staff told us we have cityview rooms. Upon challenging, they said we have gardenview luxury suits. When I asked for oceanview suites, they said they did not have any. When I asked for the refund of the difference in rates, they refused and claimed that the rates are identical for garden and oceanview rooms. Had to call and compain to the general manager next morning to get the refund. A lady at the registration asked why I needed oceanview rooms when it is already dark. Why is it her business when I paid for it? The gardenview luxury suites are pure scam. U will have a small terrace with 2-3 trees, and old unattractive city buildings behind them. Don't fall for the scam. These rooms have no views at all. Cityview rooms are even worse.
ON THE SERVICE: Restaurant/food average, server exceedingly reluctant to refill water. Was promised a bottel of water on the table that never came.

Hotel staff good in hotel area, valet parking very helpful. the concierge staff helpful and explain the things, they little bit nervous sometimes but all ok. Maintainance people all ok, we had an issue in our room that the sauna was not working ok and they fixed to make it ready when we came back. The pool too small,really looks like it has been stuffed in the roof top but a nice view from the roof top to the city and beach. Ah other thing the hotel staff could explain the things in the room or the room should automatic open the curtains when the customers open the door. The only dissapointing part was the restaurant Tragaluz, bad service in the overall, only one guy waiter gave good attention, the rest disaster really , slow, bad attitude, and food not good , too salty the main dishes and too sweety the dessert. A pitty this part cause the staff to help me to book the restaurant in the hotel was nice only in the restaurant itself not a good dining experience as we experienced in many other restaurants in Peru as in Central, and Tzuru. Service and taste are key things in a restaurant.
