The worst place that I ever been

\"First of all, the reservation stated that breakfast was included, but it wasn’t. Second, the room they gave me had fleas—I was there for just ten minutes and got several bites. I requested another room, and while the second one was slightly better, the stairs leading to it were filthy, and the bed cover had cigarette holes. I asked to have it changed, but they said it wasn’t possible. Everything is old and in poor condition. Additionally, the staff were not as friendly as you would expect.\"

This place literally stinks so much. We left early in the morning just ro get out of there as fast as possible and all of our belonings still stink! Everything was dirty and gross, thankfully we had our own bedding. Check in is outside you cant even go in, you have to stand outside in 110 degree heat. Never again.

I thought it was odd to have someone knock on my motel door to offer to sell me drugs. When I declined I was then asked if I needed any phones. I also politely declined.
I don’t believe the $20 cash deposit was mentioned when booking through Expedia. I did get it back though. All business was conducted through the “night window.”
The air conditioning in my room was in need of some repair as well.

Old old old and stunk. Wife had to dry hair in waves because mounted hairdryer kept overheating and tripping. Front desk said no other options. Electrical plugs all loose in walls. Not sure which continent serves coffee, cereal and oatmeal pie cookies for breakfast but THAT should never be considered a “continental breakfast” amenity. Disappointed. Exterior photos should be required. #lessonlearned

Sometimes the saying you get what you pay for is true, but this motel was not even worth it's cheap price, dirty,dirty, dirty! I stayed because it was non-refundable but literally had to make a run for bleach to clean the bathroom with and new towels and sheets for peace of mind because I don't think they wash theirs!

I read some of the bad reviews but seriously this place is very inexpensive. What do people expect for the price. It is old but clean. It is convenient being in the downtown area. I do not like the hardwood floors but I have found that lots of hotels and hospitals are now going this direction. Its supposed to be more sanitary health wise. Want a nicer place? Pay more and further away from downtown.
Staff was friendly and helpful.

Don't expect too much. It's old but clean. Smoke from smokers outside slips in under the door easily. Close to downtown scene but also with traffic noise. Again, it's nothing special but inexpensive and not terrible.

Slum lords of the hotel business

They surprise you when you arrive with a $20 deposit per room, which you will not recieve back if you a) have visitors b) don't check out before 11am c) don't return the key d) have extra people in the room. I arrived with this surprise and wasn't able to afford the deposit since I believed I had already paid for everything at hotels.com. The lady at the counter was incredibly rude to me and everyone in my party and should not be working in the service industry. We had to argue with her even just to get extra towels since only two towels were provided per room. The refridgerator wasn't working, the shower wasn't working, and the room was dirty. Don't be fooled by \"continental breakfast\"- that means one pastry and a coffee available. By \"business center\" they mean one computer with no printer. Basically, they know that you aren't going to find a cheaper place in Visalia, so they use that to scam you and be rude. These people were like slum lords of the hotel business, it was awful.

worst hotel and room was stinking. floor was not clean. Charged $20 extra for 2 guests.
Complimentary breakfast is just coffee and orange juice. How would it be called complimentary break fast??

Over rated even at 1 star

Toilet seat was broken. Bathroom Towel holders were broken, remote for TV had scotch tape holding the batteries, table and chairs positioned in the closet area. Door latch looked as if the door had at one time been kicked in, TV was a joke 1970 model scrabbled picture most Channels . For entertainment I could clearly hear the people in the next room having relations. Walls were very. Thin. This place should be a motel not hotel. Looked like as if people lived in some of the rooms. Only if your desperate and by your self don't take kids here.

Stay away from this hotel. It is dirty, smelly, no wash towels, dirty sheets, mold in the bathroom. Internet kept disconnecting all the time. Rude staff, when I asked for an extra blanket, I was shouted at and told to turn the heat on. This was the worst place ever that I stayed in. Avoid it. It is a filthy place.

Rate America's Best Value Inn

Overall, I was somewhat disappointed. The pictures on the website were more appealing than the actual room I stayed in. The location was perfect and the price is affordable. The room was clean I suppose I could say. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, face soap, tissue paper, blow dryer, etc. The heating worked. I noticed there were NO smoke detectors. It was fairly quiet for a Saturday evening. I did not get a copy of my receipt when I asked for it, nor did I get one when I checked out.

I am not sure what was going on? The carpeting had been recently ? ripped out (bare floors) - noticed it because the carpet was still in the small parking lot, there was a draft of air coming from the door way from when the carpet was pulled out. A strong odor in the room and bathroom (we were in a non smoking room) but it smelled like nicotine. It appears the room I stayed in needs a fresh paint job, etc.

The location was good only because it was close to down town but the actual room was horrible i requested a non smoking room. And as i entered the door the smell of old stale cigarettes punched me in the face then i went to check out the bathroom and it didn't look like the toilet had been clean and sanitized in a month i was scared to sit down then i got to the bed and i sat down and one of the legs of the bed was broken so it rocked back and forth and screeched and moaned with every movement overall i will not be going back it was definitely not worth my $55

This hotel was rated two stars. It doesn't deserve one star. The photos misrepresent the condition of the rooms. When I asked to be moved from the first room I was put in, the manager asked me what I expected for $50. I don't expect anything fancy, just a clean, reasonably maintained room. These rooms were not. I considered leaving to find another place to stay but it was late and I didn't want to. The place was disgusting and should not be called an \"America's Best Value Hotel\". The rooms are in horrible shape.

Wi Fi goes in & out every 10 minutes

The staff is a little hard to understand. The Wi Fi was the biggest problem, especially if you are going to use it extensively.
The Wi Fi would go in and out every 10 minutes. I would disconnect and connect instead of waiting to reconnect.
When asked how it, answer was that many people were using it so that's why it was slow, but that can't be the honest truth because I was there for a week and during non peak hours of the hotel, the Wi Fi would still be inconsistent.

A Good Value

I can't complaint much its a great value and easy to get a room and relax. Other hotela are so annoying this hotel was quik and easy. I would all though say I found a huge live roach in the room yet grabbed it with a tissue and flushed it. The breakfast that was yo be supplied was never there so that was a bummer. Yet I felt no need to complaint because I'm a regular and the value well you can't beat it.

Not worth the money

the staff was rude, when I got my room key I tried it and it didn't work. When I reported this I was told I must have been doing it wrong. When it didn't work again the girl came to try it with that air of \"this person is an idiot\". It wouldn't work for her either. I was put in a different room, the lock was missing, a light bulb was missing, and there were hairs all over the shower. I would not recommend this hotel, next time I will lay down more money for something else.

This is a budget motel in a good location, on main street Visalia. It's an ok place to stay for a night or two. It's not exactly \"nice\", but all I needed was a place to sleep and shower, and it fit that bill.

The hotel didn't have our reservation when we got there. Little bit of a hassle.

The room was sparse and not very welcoming. Fake hardwood floors. No safety lock on door, looked like it was busted off some time ago. Room needed painting and the curtains looked dirty. There was no clothes hanger bar. They did bring a portable bar in so we could hang our clothes. We will not stay there again and we don't recommend it to anyone.

The Wi Fi Internet was slow and inconsistent. It would go out in and out every 20 minutes. The person at the desk was really hard to understand her. The ice machine didn’t work. Good location in downtown Visalia.

Will not stay thare again

Hotel is near the hospital / fire station and sirens will wake you up at least one a night. Room was essentially clean, but there was some old dirt here and there. Toilet seat was hanging on one bolt only, so you better watch. Bathroom door did not open more than half the way. Common areas, walkways and hallway smelt garbage. Some trash was on the floor by our door for two days. On our second day, when we went out to our car at 7 AM we could not renter the room because the key card did not worked. The office was closed. After a while the clerk showed up and encoded our key, so that we could enter the room. He did not look surprised.
The breakfast was really symbolic, a sweet bun in a plastic wrapping, weak coffee and juice watered down. You can stay there if you have to. The price is low, but the value is even lower.

Americas Best Value Inn is one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in. I had not even one reason to complain about during my 5 day stay here. The check-in was a smooth process and I was given a very good room to stay in. Housekeeping staff did a fabulous job in ensuring the room was kept clean throughout my stay. Well done guys.

No regrets at all

I had a choice between two new hotels when I was scouring the internet for hotels in the central valley area. One was a bit on the expensive side so I put my money on Americas Best Value Inn. Well, I am happy I was not to regret the decision later as I had a satisfying stay here. Timely service, good food, free high speed Wi-Fi Internet and covered parking area were all great features about this place.

Well maintained and affordable

The covered parking area was exactly what we were looking for when we visited this hotel for the first time. The four vehicles in our entourage were protected from the mercy of the erratic weather. Rooms were to our liking, well maintained and I must say very affordable. I am planning to visit again next visit and will definitely opt for a stay here.

A satisfying experience.

I had a stay of only two days, too less a time to give a feedback on this hotel. Overall a satisfying experience. The room that was given to me was to my liking. Bed sheets were clean, fresh towels, tidiness all across the room. I made 2 or 3 calls for Room Service and was promptly attended to by the staff. I will recommend it for sure.

No drop in the quality

My ten day long stay with family was a well planned out holiday and a bad hotel would have definitely put a dampener to our plans. The attention towards customer satisfaction was right on top of the agenda of the staff at this hotel. Our choice of rooms was promptly attended to. We were given neat and clean rooms with comfortable beds. There was no drop in the quality of accommodation for even a single day.

The complimentary continental breakfast was a meal of value. I have stayed in many hotels and I know no one pays much attention to the quality and guest satisfaction from complimentary offerings. This was a different hotel right from the word go. The breakfast served every morning was absolutely scrumptious and of good quality. I enjoyed my stay here.

Thanks to this amazing hotel

Clean bed sheets & towels throughout my 4 day stay was the best thing about this hotel. My mother is a big time advocate of cleanliness and I was particularly concerned whether she will like this hotel that we were trying for the first time. Dad loved his evenings near the swimming pool. Overall it was fun vacation spent together with my loved ones, thanks to this amazing hotel called Americas Best Value Inn.

Lived up to its name

I have this habit of checking in online reviews before I step into any of the hotels. Americas Best Value Inn was one such place which had very good reviews written about it across the web. It has truly lived up to its name by proving that it indeed is a wonderful hotel with an exuberant staff who are ready to attend to you with prompt service. The stay was very relaxing and comfortable and the very thought of leaving this place after a 7 day vacation made me gloomy.

Extremely courteous staff

Americas Best Value Inn is a visitor’s delight and its extremely courteous staff is an added feather in its cap. We stayed in an immaculately clean room. It was spacious and convenient. The swimming pool too is squeaky clean and we spent a lot of time over there. The place is extremely clean and my little son had a whale of a time playing and running around. Keep up the good work!

What is the one major thing that bothers you when you are out for a good vacation is what kind of accommodation will I get? Isn’t that the case? Well, when it comes to hotels my primary requirement has always been to get a comfortable place to stay which has got basic amenities and a quick and responsive staff. Amazed Me!

One of the most neglected aspects common to most hotels today is cleanliness. Maintenance of the rooms that hotels rent out to guests must be diligently carried out. Americas Best Value Inn was just the right place for me as it had rooms which had greatly kept beds with super shining bed sheets on them and absolutely spotlessly clean towels. There was no room for any dust or grim and such diligence in exercising your responsibilities is what amazed me the most. Real clean place.

Won our hearts!

Considering that in the recent past I have had “not-so-wonderful” experiences with the hotel staff in a few hotels I have stayed before, Americas Best Value Inn came as a breath of fresh air. I particularly want to talk about the warm and friendly staff who with their simplistic attitude won our hearts! They were also quite helpful when my little son hurt himself in the lobby; they also made sure that he was attended to properly. Kudos to the Staff!

Americas Best Value Inn was the choice of my wife. She was adamant we spend our weekend in this hotel after someone she knew spoke highly about this place. What else could you ask for?

I am an avid believer in keeping things simple when it comes to hospitality. For me hotel stays are all about comfort. The fancy gadgets and expensive amenities can all take a backseat. Americas Best Value Inn scored pretty high on this front. Bed provided to me was very comfortable, sheets and towels clean. What else could you ask for? The icing on the cake was the ever energetic and smiling staff. I liked it here guys and Thank You.

What a brilliant place to spend some quality time. Absolutely in love with the hospitality extended to me during my 8 day long stay here in this hotel. My kids loved it. I have had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful location for 8 days. I was here in the month of March with my friends and we were looking to spend some quality time together. It was during an online search that we read good reviews about this place and booked a stay here. I am extremely delighted we made that choice. The stay turned out to be one of the most cherished of hotel stays in a long while. Serves were remarkable quick and the rooms were neat and tidy.

Absolutely the way I wanted

It was a leisure trip that landed me to this hotel. I was with my friends, searching for a place to stay when someone recommended Americas Best Value Inn. I hate the feeling of too many furniture or decorative items crammed up inside a hotel room and spoiling its look and feel. The hotel rooms here were absolutely the way I wanted them to be. Rooms provided to us were furnished sensibly, leaving ample room to move around. Will visit again soon.

I am delighted with the hotel

The king size bed provided to me during my stay in this hotel was absolutely comfortable and just about what I needed after a long and tiring flight experience. I am really thankful to the executive at the front desk for the smooth check in provided to me. Services were also impeccable and left no room for complaint. Maintain this level of service

Most of the hotels of today have lost the real meaning of hospitality. Throughout my travel to different places, what irks me the most and puts me off are untidy hotel rooms, exorbitant charges and money centric hotel staff. This time it felt genuinely different when I stayed at Americas Best Value Inn.
