Staff were amazing, and they made our stay extra special which I can't thank enough. I loved the food/ breakfast. Swimming pool. All the extras like going to the winery and mansion tour.
The only negative was there was a wedding and the DJ was so loud with the base, till around midnight. I didn't complain in the night to ruin a wedding party and maybe nothing could have been done anyways. However I do think they should put guest part of the wedding on the back of the building and other guest on the frontz as it was so loud the glass was even shaking.

The room was clean and staff were lovely.
We had 3 nights and overall a good experience, disappointing was no black out curtains and a spotlight in the grounds meant our room was light all night.
Buffet breakfast was good but with a full hotel did not keep up with demand.
Would stay again if needing to be near the zoo and mansion.

Staff are lovely and the grounds, facilities (swimming pool) are nice, the steam room is a nice addition but it is quite old and very noisy. The room was fine, basic but comfortable. Though no block out curtains only blinds which do let some light in first thing in the morning. Bathrooms are fine, again a bit old and the bath is very small. Tv was a bit slow, I paid for a movie (this was not charged for at check out) but it kept freezing on the screen. Breakfast is buffet style, again fine, nothing amazing, the coffee wasn’t drinkable though - recommend going to the refectory cafe onsite to grab a barista coffee. I had a voucher and got a significant discount off the room, had I have paid full price I think I’d have been a little more disgruntled. Overall a nice stay, pleasant staff and beautiful grounds but not a luxury hotel stay compared to other places.

Clean room, excellent staff. The heritage room was small and ensuite was adequate but the big plus was the building, the facilities, pool, gym, snooker room etc and the fantastic grounds gardens and history. Didn't spend much time in the room. Good breakfast included.

The Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The setting was also amazing. Unfortunately the mattress in our room felt like you were sleeping on a jellyfish. It was so soft and unsupportive that you sank down into it. Needless to say we had a terrible night's sleep. Using the shower over bath was also an accident waiting to happen. The curved floor of the bath was very slippery and there was no hold rail so you had to be very careful when stepping in and out. Both these factors made our stay much less enjoyable than it otherwise should have been.

Hotel was okay but badly in need of a refresh. Room blinds very dusty. Carpets old and look shabby. No fan in bathroom. Bathroom light switch in an inconvenient place. Bathroom door didn’t close fully and without a fan was a bit awkward. Breakfast was very good but dinner at hotel restaurant was fancy and not family friendly.

Hotel was fully booked at the time of stay. We paid a premium to stay one night but were put in a room above the spa and sauna which was very noisy up until 10pm. The blinds were broken. Breakfast was not great.

The king bed was huge and so comfortable. The room was great and quiet. The slat window shades don't provide complete block out but that didn't bother me. Wonderful atmosphere and surrounds but the thing that really made my stay special was the service provided by Renee on the front desk. So considerate and friendly, she took my needs into consideration and was super helpful. She also remembered me the next day and showed gentle genuine interest and kindness in our conversation. I have always wanted to stay at the Mansion and will be coming back for sure - especially when there is a great last minute special like the one that I got.

Very tired, definitely needs a renovation. Definitely not 5* quality.

We had to get them to mop our bathroom as there were still stains on the floor.

Swimming pool, steam room & change rooms dirty and very tired.

Layers of dust and cobwebs throughout the building. Overall cleanness was very poor.

Staff all very pleasant and extremely friendly and welcoming.

Wanted rest and peace, left the hotel with more stress and anxiety: this hotel had no hot water and I followed up 6 times without any call backs/solutions. The pool was out of order, the rooms are not soundproof so it was very noisy at night and we could not sleep! Reception showed zero care whatsoever despite the unpleasant experience - this was unacceptable!

We stayed her for two nights and the building and grounds around were beautiful and well kept. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed we both found was super comfortable.
An easy 10 min walk to the zoo which was good but really busy.
The buffet breakfast was good.
The only negative was that there was some mice poo on the window ledge behind the coffee machine.
Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found it very relaxing and definitely recommend.

Beautiful accommodation and grounds. The mansion is simply perfect. The rooms were a little smaller than anticipated, but beautiful and well appointed. The bed was amazingly comfortable.
We had dinner in the bar, the service was very slow unfortunately, two of our four meals came out nearly an hour apart and we had to follow up the other two with kitchen staff.
The bar staff were lovely.

We had an enjoyable one-night stay at the property. We enjoyed the walk around the beautiful gardens and a swim and spa. The room is comfortable but quite small and outdated with no real window outlook. We enjoyed room service; the food was good, although when we went to order dessert at 9.45 pm, we were told the chefs had gone home, despite it saying that room service as available until 10.00 pm. The breakfast was lovely also; reasonable variety.
The only other disappointment was the steam room; there is not a shared one; they are available in the females and males toilets. The one in the women's toilet is old and smelly and i couldn't get it to turn on??

This place is magical. Forget the hustle and bustle - this is pure \"almost off the grid\" bliss. There's no shopping, or restaurants except what's in house. It's peaceful and quiet in a beautiful setting. I absolutely loved my stay. I look forward to the next one.

The heritage room is quite small compared to other hotels of the same class. The garden is very nice and close to all the tourist attractions in Werribee.
The cleanliness of the bathroom can be improved. Additionally there are no main lights except the side table lights, so it's a bit dark.

The mansion is a beautiful place to stay, the grounds to walk around on and the building it’s self makes it feel like you’re back in time. The hertiage room is incredibly tiny, but does the trick if you’re only staying for one night. The restaurant Joseph’s was amazing for dinner and breakfast, though dinner options are very limited re: costs if you’re not wanting to spend a small fortune (ours was $278 for two people with a cocktail each!) the tour was a nice tough and Shadowfax winery is a short stroll from the mansion for a wine tasting.

A total rip-off. Terribly presented breakfast. When we booked they did not say it was through an agent, we changed part of the
booking and could not get our money
refunded. It is no good complaining about

The Mansion Hotel is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. This is a historic property but it is beautiful and well kept. Unfortunately the lighting in our room was subpar, two small bedside lamps for a whole room. And sadly, despite being surrounded by beautiful parklands, the view out our window was of two industrial chimneys and a service yard, the lights from which shone through our blinds at night. On the plus side, the spa centre was lovely and we enjoyed our time there.

Settled in beautiful gardens, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy some nice walks. Unfortunately half the gardens were closed as they set up for an event.

The hotel, however, is completely overpriced for the experience they actually deliver. I arrived and my room was not available, so I had to wait. I was not offer my complementary wine on arrival and had to ask for it myself.

The blinds in the room and cheap and don’t block out the light. Pillows and mattress were too soft.

The room service was extraordinarily overpriced, with a $6 fee too, for cold fries and a dry burger. The on site cafe is like a roadside convenience store in terms of what they offer. The on site restaurant is expensive for average food. As the breakfast the staff literally sprayed bleach on my table when my food was sitting there.

There were no clean towels in the pool area and the virtual assistant doesn’t reply to any of your messages.

This is NOT a 5 star experience.

An amazing experience for a special birthday. Dinner-I loved the Pork Belly, Heritage room for the night was comfy, there is a lot to see & do, self tour of the Mansion is a must do. Complimentary breakfast was good. The only concern I had was that house keeping entered too early. If I hadn’t returned from breakfast when I did, would all our linen been gone?
