The hotel was good. The only issue I had was at check-in. Expedia had a lower rate on their web site and when I pointed it out to the front desk person she was put off by this. Forcing me to book with Expedia.
Once I made the reservation she challenged my claimed, stating it would take up to an hour for the booking to show up on her system. I refused to believe it and forced her to complete the booking with the confirmation from my cell phone.
This all happened with a full lobby with other guests. Prior from dealing with me a couple with a child asked for a government rate for their booking and was denied because the hotel has no more government rate rooms available!
Been in the industry for 30 years, don’t know if I should praise her ability to increase the hotel ADR by refusing discounts to increase hotel performance or not. With dynamic pricing on rooms the common individual does not stand a chance anymore!
As a guest in a busy hotel I would hope that her manager reads this review and consider my point carefully. Forcing a brand hotel card member to use a third party booking because it was lower than the property management system price at the time. She then chose to state that the booking could take hours to reach her system. Only backing down to an hour when challenged.

The hot breakfast buffet was disappointing. I stayed there previously, before COVID and the breakfast was one of the reasons that I have stayed there a few times, but it has really gone down hill. I understand the need to manage cost in todays economy, but it was noticeably lower quality.

We loved our stay. Room was large and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the nice couch for tv viewing. The room also had a very large desk that was wonderful for working. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Hotel is also only a 10 minutes from airport and shuttle runs every half hour.

No recycling bin in our room and there is only paper plates and individually wrapped utensils (fork,knife,spoon) in plastic for breakfast. Everything goes in the garbage, real plates and utensils would be easier to use and better for the environment.

I booked to stay in this hotel to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary with the kids. They are excited that they will get to swim after a long time. But then when we arrived, the receptionist told us the pool is closed and is under renovation. Didn’t even offer us anything except asking us to go to a public pool instead. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against going to the public pool, but what’s the point of booking to stay in their hotel to let the kids enjoy it. But it’s all ruined. It was never noted that the pool was closed, and I even received instructions about the pool’s operating hours when we checked in. Yes, we did check in because we drove for almost 30mins in the middle of the snow and zero visibility. It was just frustrating that we were not offered any discount or anything that can at least make up to the closed pool. Also, the room they gave didn’t have a good view, floors are sticky and washroom is not spotless. Breakfast is not one for the books as well. We are not going back there.

The Hotel was beautiful, very clean, had that brand new smell to it. The only issue we found was the shower did not have very much pressure at all. But other wise it was 5 star.

Breakfast was good. The free coffee provided included different roasts. The bed was comfortable, the temperature was easily controlled and the bath products were for sensitive skin. We had a quick and enjoyable stay.

Pool was out of commission due to renovation. Would have like to have know before I booked I would not of booked. Breakfast area was moved to another location due to renovation ls at it was a horrible setup. Renovation noise woke me up at 6 am

The room was clean and partially renovated so there were outlets not covered and a smoke detector not actually secured to the wall but hanging by wires. There was also poor lighting in the room. Breakfast was great…lots of selection and the staff we dealt with were great.

Was under renovations so during the day it was noisy and dusty. The fire alarm went off one morning at 0600 hrs and when we went outside there was ice on the sidewalk causing a few people to slip and fall No one was outside to help people. Then the rest of the day the alarm kept going off

Not aware of state of hotel under construction which apparently has been the case since October 2025. Pool not open. Woke in morning to sound of construction after being assured it was far from our room and would not be heard. Room was clean and newly renovated but all other areas of hotel, lobby, dining room and hallways dusty and under construction. This information should be disclosed before booking and rates lowered to reflect lack of pool amenity and construction state of hotel until complete.

The hotel is under renovations. Dust everywhere. As a severe asthmatic that isVERY problematic. I would have avoided booking here had I known). The Pool and fitness center were both closed (although we we bottle that until after we checked in) and was one of the reasons we booked there to begin with. When going to bed, i discovered the door’s lock/deadbolt was broken. When I told the front desk, they didn’t really seem to care and just said “ok”. Over all, not a great experience. I do t think it’s fair to advertise amenities that they do not have a charge $180 for room for a night without letting the customer know what’s going on first.
I HAVE stayed here before and had a great experience. This time, I was disappointed to say the least.

We had a great stay at Hampton Inn! We love the free breakfast, it's one of the reasons we pick this hotel. The pool is wonderful and warm. They were under renovation while we stayed, but it did not interrupt our stay in any way! Breakfast was still going ahead, the pool was open and our room was perfect! Some 'eyesores' in the lobby, but I love that they were still open and providing excellent service during their renovations! Will definitely stay again, as our kids also love this hotel.

Do not stay here during easter hockey tournament week. The kids were up all night, no way to get any sleep. Management was aware but didnt do anything about it. I'm a hockey parent and recognize kids can be a bit noisy, but this was over the top. 3am and they were still going strong. Would not stay at this hotel again.

The room was newly renovated and really nice. The breakfast was good. The room didn’t seem very sound proof. Could hear a fair amount of noise from the hallway - doors banging and could hear others in their rooms.
