I have stayed at Accor Group / Mercure hotels in many countries around the world. I was unimpressed with the standard of this hotel. Furniture (sofa) in the room was tattered crying out for maintenance. There were Cockroaches in the room.

The hotel is well Located close to key amenities.
However the standard is not in keeping with Accor standards worldwide.
Staff were friendly.

Disappointed!!!

matriculates dance when we arrived. nobody helped with luggage... noice.... the floors to the rooms was dirty and 4am knock on the door ,,, nobody there. terrible stay... will never go back or refer anyone to this establishment .. paid for breakfast .. early anything left when we arrived for breakfast , then bacon is not chewable (both mornings) like eating biltong, fruit on Saturday morning was yeasty... definitely not fresh .. very very very disappointing in hotels.com to have this on your list ,

Excellent stay and value for money

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Easy to find and only 30 mins drive from OR Tambo airport. Check-in and out was quick and easy with very welcoming front desk staff. The room was very comfortable, a good size and spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making facilities were also in the room as well as a refrigerator which was put to use. The bed was very comfortable enabling a good night's sleep after a very long flight. The room was quiet with minimal noise heard from outside or the corridor/other rooms. Internet connection was excellent. As with many properties in SA there was gate security. Definitely my 1st choice for accommodation when staying in the area again.

The Manager on Duty was friendly, but the rooms were very disappointing. They looked nothing like pictures online. We had no bath towels and had to ask for them and the toilet seat in one room was broken. The body wash and shampoo was empty. The breakfast was great, (the best part of the stay) sadly will not be going to the Mecure again

The staff were really good and friendly from reception, restaurant, bar, room cleaning- all very helpful and the gateman gave everybody that came through his gate , the Thumbs Up sign. Very positive when you arrive as a new guest.

Still a few round pin 3 pin plug sockets!!!

Good for business.

Quick business trip. Nothing fancy about the hotel, but in it's price bracket has no equal. Good, comfortable room. Good shower, bed, wifi and nice and quiet. Location good for my meetings.

The cabinet where the fridge is stored was broken, i booked for 2 people but had toiletries for 1 person for both days in both the 2 rooms i booked. When my family arrived to occupy the next room the lady at reception told tgem i only booked 1 family room for 2 adults and 1 child without checking on the system. Upon my arrival down stairs she said the same thing and when i asked when i showed her the 2 keys she then said you can go. No apology nothing not even checking on the computer. all i got was attitude and eyes rolled on me and my hisband said the lady was really harsh with her.

I have been using this hotel for almost 6 years now, and it's home from home. Friendly staff, warm welcome, clean and homely.

However, since the nearby mall is under renovations, hence no decent restaurants around : the hotel restaurant should open all day to cater for residents and even visitors.

Stay was average. Die fact that there's a lot of building and road works happening around the hotel, makes one feel isolated. The rooms however comfortable & clean. Will stay again, once the building of the premises across the hotel is finished.

Great location, cheap, but getting a bit long in the tooth. Room wasn't clean and still had debris from the previous guests including trash not cleared. Breakfast is very basic and not cheap, but the hotel is so for one night on business it can be tolerated. The huge mall next door is now mostly derelict with just one supermarket left.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel but the rooms are small, some maintenance is needed and the price advertised on Expedia for bteakfast is incorrect. The hotel staff helped us a lot and were very friendly.

it was good. the Gautrain picks and drops passengers right at the hotel gate so it was perfect for me as i had to catch a morning flight. also the shopping mall 200m away is super convenient

The reception was welcoming and the reception staff was pleasant. The finishing was tasteful. The bathroom was to die for. Though it was winter the air conditioning was on point making the room comfortable throughout the night. We ordered food from outside and the staff was helpful. All in all our stay was memorable.

Great value

I stayed in this place for 2 days during a business trip. The room is fairly small, but if you only need a place to sleep and stay over it is really a great venue. Fairly quiet, great and friendly staff and very clean. They don't have an in house restaurant however a nice shopping mall with lots of eating places are within walking distance to entertain your guests. I will any time stay here again and recommend it as a place with value for money in comparison with all the other hotels I stayed in Johannesburg.

Good business hotel in Randburg area.

Was a last minute stay in JHB for work. Often stay at the Road Lodge up the road, but for same money (cheap!) I tried this. MILES better for same money, rooms look recently refreshed, shower was good, toiletries were good and bedding was fantastic. Only complaint was that my payment didn't reflect and the wifi didn't work at night, but did the next day.

Little things, ruined the stay

Arriving at the hotel, there was no toilet paper in the rooms, after 3 calls we finally got half a roll and had to go through the same hassle all over again. The other issue was everyday I had to ask for a second towel, there was only ever one left in the room, yet two people staying in the room.
