The place was obviously popular once but hasn't been looked after and is now forgotton by the owners It's full of old furniture that should have been thrown away and walking through reception the smell of mould was strong. My guess is that it was left during COVID and has never recovered. The staff espcially the cleaning and restaurant staff tried really hard to make me feel comfortable but it was largely empty and it felt sad and lonely. I had paid in advance and left a day early. I asked for a refund for the final day but was refused.

This was my first trip to Thailand and the Kiree Thara Boutique Resort was the perfect place to land. It is situated in peaceful surroundings, the gardens are calming and beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, the staff were generous and hospitable. It’s a short ride from the city (easily accessible via the Grab app) and far away enough to experience the tranquility of the hills in Chiang Mai. Great food and service. I highly recommend staying here.

At first we wanted to cancel the room because it was too far from the city center but the staff said it was not refundable and offered to upgrade our room so we decided to stay. When we came back to the room at night, we discovered ants in and around our baggage. The front desk then moved us to a new room. There was a huge cockroach in the bathroom! Each time we tried to talk to the front desk and the manager was never available. They refused to give us a refund. We ended up leaving the next day. The only good part of this stay was the free breakfast and how the staff was so kind. I hope they get their bug issue under control.

The hotel is beautiful & serene but the rooms are old & a lot of stuffs in the rooms are not working properly. The shuttle service was great as they used very new & 7 seaters car. Service was great & the staffs there are all very helpful. One minus point is the place are not so wheelchair friendly.

This is an outstanding place to stay in Chiang Mai for anyone who prefers quiet natural surroundings and a beautiful facility over being in the busy downtown. The Executive room was tasteful and luxurious with a large bath and separate shower. Hotel staff were lovely, the restaurant food was good, and the service reflected the respectfulness and kindness common in Thai culture.

We booked for two beds, patio with mountain view. Our room was one bed, no patio, no view, it was below ground. very disappointed about that. we paid extra for the patio and mtn view but did not get it. there is also an extra charge a few days after we left for $58 don't know what that is for.

Fabulous respite

The setting at Kiree Thara is fabulous - from the restaurant to the pool! A 10-minute Uber or taxi gets you to shopping and restaurants. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. The only reason I rated it a 4 out of 5 is because the walls are thin. Loud noises in other rooms or next door kept me awake at times, but other than that, my stay was amazing. If you want to be off the beaten path, away from the city, at the foot of the hill near the jungle, this is your place.

There was absolutely nothing to do in this are. The hotel is very secluded and you can't even walk to a restaurant. You are forced to take a minimum 300b taxi into the city. We asked for a taxi one morning and had to wait 1hr for it to arrive and then were told we had to pay 400b because the hotel staff had called an airport taxi (even though we were not going to the airport) overall this hotel was the worst I had ever stayed at. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable vacation. I'm extremely disappointed.

We stayed here for one night, we were very pleased with the property and the rooms. However, we weren't notified of their policy regarding ordering food. I ordered coffee and fruits for breakfast, reception charged to my hotel bill. During check out, I was charged more for my meal. I wasn't told that I had to spend a certain amount of money in order to avoid the additional fee. Manager explained it was policy, I stated that I wasn't told that, and that should have been explained to me. However, manager wouldn't budge.

Loved this place.

Booked online at an amazing price. Stayed for four days and enjoyed this place immensely. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly, and the pool was nice.
It's not on the river, but about 3.5 km from the old city and at the end of a road, really quiet location compared to others.

Have to say the gentleman who greets you is incredible! Came back late one night and he was still there (never goes home?!) We had a flight in the early afternoon and we discussed departure times, he helped us decide when to leave. In the morning, I'm headed to get breakfast and he's already ordered the taxi! This guy was super helpful and incredible! Would recommend this to others.

Peaceful hotel with great ambiance.

The hotel was in a remote location and surrounded by mountains. Very charming, comfortable and peaceful. Far away from city center but a good place if you want to get away from city life and be around nature.

Resort for local folk

Location is pretty far out from the airport and the old city. The resort and facilities are pretty. However, much of the facility is not inspected before folk check in. The air conditioner was broken in the Executive suite. The staff was helpful about trying to fix it and upgraded us to the penthouse.

The wooden floors are dangerously slippery. We were traveling with my in-laws who are 83 years old. We could not risk staying here and moved to Holiday Inn.

The fitness equipment is old and was mostly broken. The elliptical machine was not working and the treadmill kept speeding up dangerously fast.

Nice secluded hotel, needs some plumbing upgrades

This hotel is away from the crowds, but only 10 minutes to the action near the Maya mall, and about 20 minutes from the old city. The hotel is showing it's age, but still a nice getaway. The family suites were large, clean and spacious. The pool was refreshing and central. The food and drinks we ordered were quite disappointing, I'd recommend eating elsewhere. Our biggest complaint is our first room toilets and one of the AC did not work. We did get a nice free upgrade, which was a nice gesture, however the master bathroom smelled terrible, likely from the sewage system. This did not sit well with us and unfortunately tainted the entire hotel. We did see others complaints online about this, and we can confirm, it's true. They did have one lady at front desk with amazing English and she was very helpful and apologetic, with a great understanding of customer service

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights of our honeymoon in Thailand. The hotel manager is doing an amazing job with service and care of their guests. From the moment we arrived they had a beverage for us and warm refreshing towels so we could freshen up. They were very attentive to us; checked in on our plans and helped us arrange transportation to and from. The manager was also great at suggesting local cooking schools, or more adventurous elephant camps. The places suggested where also very nice places and provided similar hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place.

Relaxing and quite stay

Reception staff were friendly and very helpful, greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival. Rooms were good, bed and pillows were a bit stiff though. Tv had english channels and movies. In room safe. Grounds were well maintained and looked awesome but pool was freezing. Had a gym and free bikes available to take for a ride. Full time security outside the property.

Perfect relaxing getaway!

Great hotel with wonderful staff. We had spent three days in Bangkok before arriving in Chiang Mai, and were definitely ready to get away from the city. Kiree Thara is the perfect relaxing getaway, and still close enough to easily get to attractions and downtown.

Lovely quiet small hotel

The hotel is small and while we were there, there were very few other people staying there. The hotel is next to a military base (comprised of an open field primarily) and a rural area, making it tranquil. The staff were kind and the room was a good size. The restaruant in the hotel is decent but for some the food might be a bit too spicy.

awesome resort with a very friendly staff. It is starting to show its age a bit however the grounds were very well tended to. The rooms were comfortable with lots of room. The breakfast was excellent and the pool quite nice for a refreshing dip. As long as you have ground transport I would highly recommend this to anyone wishing for a peaceful stay.

Kiree Thara a Gem in Chiang Mai

We had a wonderful stay at the Kiree Thara Hotel. The manager and his staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and help us out in any way they could. We would definitely stay here again.

The restaurant was also very accommodating with our request for vegan meals. We were delighted to discover they serve organic food too. This is a wonderful oasis in Chiang Mai!

Over rated for a four stars boutique hotel

Staff was helpful and friendly but unfortunately the room smells really bad . Its not just one room as I over heard another guest making the same compliant at the reception desk and demand a refund . The room is really dark and lights need to be turned on at all time. Also there's no window in the room for you to open .

Secluded yet convenient

First of all this is not for those first-time CM tourists who want to cram as many sightseeing acts as possible into 2-3 days, or those who do not have wheels. Located a few kilometers northwest of CM city square, this place is a gem in a sea of tourist resorts. Very zen and tastefully designed, with teak wood flooring and nice amenities, this place sits at a cul-de-sac of a main road adjacent to the convention centre. There is a deck overlooking a pond which is perfect spot for a drink and chat. There is nothing pretentious or garish about this place. Be careful of Google map though because it has the location way off.

Quiet location with up close mountain views

Stayed here for June for 3 nights with a huge family of eleven pax.

As compared to many other mountain resorts which are at least 45 mins drive away, this hotel provides a good balance of mountainous views and distance to city. It is not nestled on the hills unlike other expensive resorts but being able to take in the mountain range view of Doi Suthep is really good enough, or I Should say wonderful enough for any city dweller. Within 10-15min driving distance from the city, it's convenient. We hired a driver called Mr.Sun who works together with the hotel for transport hire. He is a licensed guide and can drive u around for the whole day for a negotiated sum.

The hotel staff were very polite and friendly, and operated like a small cosy family. As the hotel only has 24 rooms, they will know guests we'll. I was also pleasantly surprised that all items in the mini bar are free.

The honeymoon suite that we booked was great. Nice ceiling-to-floor glass windows that allows you to wake up to nice mountain views. The open air roof top was a nice place to just sit around and chat at night. A great place to chill.

The only thing is that the swimming pool is generally unused so I didn't find it as clean as I expected it to be.

not worth the trouble

the first room we were given -- the room was extremely hot since the air conditioner cannot run unless the room key is plugged into the wall. then the bathroom stank of urine. i called the lobby and they asked me -- ' what is wrong now?' like i was pestering them. when i told them, they immediately switched us to the room next door. i believe the urine room is room 401. the whole urine smell really set a bad tone for our stay. overall, i am sure -- at this price, or even paying a bit more, you can do a whole lot better. also, to offset the price, there is an added inconvenience of the taxi drivers charging extra to drive you there. they also have to look at a map to find it.

Brilliant hotel in a hard-to-find location

I can provide little to complain about the actual hotel, other than the location and the difficulty every tuk tuk, taxi and red truck driver had to find it. For some reason Google maps placed it on the other side of town (near the river), and the free maps we got weren’t much better at providing any idea of the location. This resulted in many frustrating late-night driver negotiating, and it was even more difficult given it was close to New Year (we stayed from 28 Dec- 1 Jan). It wasn’t until the very last night that we asked the reception staff to write in Thai and English the location of the hotel and directions from the city, which helped enormously on New Year’s Eve.
Other than that, can’t fault the place, it was beautiful, staff friendly and helpful, food delicious. Would stay again but will be making sure to get a detailed map and Thai directions for drivers!!!

Superior may not be what you're thinking!

Please understand that the \"Superior\" room is a dark, dank, subterrianian hovel. There is a large window that if you should choose to open the blind makes the room feel like a reptile aquarium. In my lexicon that does not imply superior.

It is far from town so expect the drivers to complain about taking you anywhere. The restaurant is neither a relaxing nor enjoyable place to take a meal. Chiang Mai is a very enjoyable stop on any trek through Thailand. Plan to stay near the old city so that you can enjoy the Saturday or Sunday night markets.

We decided to check out after two nights because I could not bear the thought of celebrating Christmas in our \"superior\" accomodations. The hotel desk manager was sorry and understanding and very graciously called a cab to take us to another hotel. He also comped two drinks that we charged to the room but did not offer to refund our remaining two nights of accommodations.

The breakfast is fine and the staff is okay but overall the Kiree Thara is not a welcoming nor enjoyable place to stay while in Chiang Mai.

This is a charming little hotel. The gardens were lovely and the breakfast was good. The room was large and very comfortable.

The downside is the location. We rented a motorbike -- but that is not for the faint of heart. Driving in Chiangmai is scary.

My husband and I loved this hotel. First of all it is located in the mountains and the view is spectacular. It is a bit far from the center of Chiang Mai and there is not much to do at the hotel in the evening, but it is very relaxing. The rooms were very clean and the staff is incredibly friendly. It was a great place to come back to every evening. Also, my husband and I were the only non-Asian tourists staying at the hotel which was a nice change. I would recommend this hotel.

A perfect getway near Chiang Mai

The quality of service and staff was unbeatable. Truly exceptional resort. It had a great restaurant and swimming pool on site. It was a great break from the hussle and bussle of the city. the only downside is that if you wanted to travel to the city it needed to be arranged in advance and some of the local tuk- tuk and red taxi drivers did not know the location. All in all it is a perfect location to rest and relax but close enough you can still go to the city for the day with a little extra planning.

This Resort is only lacking a hot tub and good access to transportation. Taxi and Tuk Tuk drivers complained it was too far even though it was only fifteen minutes away from the Old City. However, if you are there for rest and relaxation and don't need any outside disturbances, this place is PERFECT!! Staff is phenomenal.

Amazing!! Best hotel in Chiang Mai!!

This place is incredible, every aspect of our stay was better than we could have hoped for.
The location, because it's far from the city, was perfect! We were out in the countryside which was exactly what we were after, for a quiet stay away from any noise and pollution. The hotel can arrange transport anytime you would like to go into the town for as little as 150 Baht sometimes, and we always got a Tuk Tuk back for 200 Baht (we didn't barter too much on this, we were more than happy to pay $6 for the ride.) There are shops just a short walk down the lane from the hotel, and a coffee shop and some restaurants. There are some amazing bars just over the main road with no tourists because it's so far from downtown. We loved it!
The service at this hotel was impeccable, the staff were all so friendly and so kind, they all went completely out of their way to make us feel happy and welcome. The Manager and his wife (and kids) even let us borrow some toys for our 2 year old to play with and they accommodated every request we had, they were all amazing always booking trips and arranging things for us.
The food was fantastic, there was really no need to leave the hotel but we like to explore, and the choice on the menu meant there is by far enough to suit everyone.
Overall, I just couldn't recommend this hotel enough, I'm so glad we chose to stay here, it was beautiful and perfect in every way.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint about the place is the location, which is a little ways from the city center. Each way by taxi was about 200 baht, so with tip we were spending about $15 roundtrip each time we went into town. This can start to add up. The trade off of the location is that it has a very quiet, serene feel that I don't think you could get at the city center. Overall, my boyfriend and I loved it.

렌트카를 이용해서 옮겨다니는 중에
2박 있었는데, 가격대비 만족합니다.
비수기라 그런지,
시내와 거리가 있어서인지,
손님이 없었어요.
조식 괜찮았어요.
주문한스크램블 에그를 오믈렛으로 가져다주셨지만..
중식도 한번했었는데, 스테이크와 시저 샐러드 정말 정말 맛있었어요.
근데 고기를 웰던으로 주문했는데,
미디엄으로 해오셨어요.
휴양을 위한 목적이면 강력 추천해요.

Alles war super von der Begrüßung. Leider am abreise Tag war es nicht so toll. Leider hat man als Frau mal ein Problem was Übermacht kommt, das Bettlaken wurde schmutzig! Um es ins klar zu machen wurde peinlicherweise das Bettlaken runter an die reszeption gebracht und wir mussten dafür 800 Bath zahlen!

오랜 호텔을 리뉴얼 했으나 좋은 목재를 써서인지 매우 관리상태가 좋았고, 작은 수영장과 수영장 샤워시설, 예쁜 정원이 좋았고, 레스토랑 음식 솜씨도 전반적으로 뛰어났습니다.
음식은 매우 싱겁게 주는 편이어서 다소 간이 된걸 원하시는 분은 소스 활용을 하시길.
다만 시내와의 거리가 좀 되기 때문에 택시를 이용해야하는데 우버를 이용하면 150 ㅡ220바트면 가능합니다.
공항까지도 200바트 내외면 충분하니 참조하시기 바랍니다.
걸어서 10분 거리에 전시관이 매우 큰 것이 있는데 사람들이 조깅이나 자전거를 타곤합니다.
조용하고 깔끔하면서도 태국의 풍미를 느낄 수 있는 곳을 찾으시거나, 사이클링 ㅡ 주변이 산으로 둘러 쌓여있어 싸이클링이나 산악자전거 타는 서양인들이 많음 ㅡ 등 스포츠 원하시는 분들에게도 추천드립니다

Hotel is located at remote area and about 20 miniutes of driving to Maya Lifestyle Shopping Mall. Partitioning of rooms is poor, so you can hear your neighbouring guests talking about. Glass on wall by the corridor make you have no privacy unless you shut up curtains. Anyway, staff are generally polite, friendly, efficient and very helpful, especially staff Gift, She offered great help for changing of room and solving problems in the first instance. If there was just a few hotel guests, only Asian, Continental and American styles of breakfast for your choice. And breakfast buffet is provided when sufficient guests in the hotel.

Hübsche, ruhige Hotelanlage mit toller Aussicht

Ruhig gelegene Hotelanlage. Sehr engagiert Managerin, die bei allen Problemen sofort Abhilfe schafft. Teils etwas schwierige ommunikation mit Serviceangestellten.
Anbindung an Innenstadt, Zoo und Nationalpark in 5-10 min mit Auto oder Roller problemlos möglich.
Flughafentransfer vom Hotel aus hervorragend.

Typique et Très bon rapport qualité prix

Nous avon passer un bon séjours le personnels aux petits soins le cadre typique et magnifique le soir ambiance détente dans un cadre idyllique avec concert live de piano, j'ai était agréablement surpris par la qualité du restaurant vraiment pas cher

Glimrende overnatningssted.

Ganske fint hotel - igen til pengene (cirka 70-80 US$).
Morgenmaden var fin, men ikke prangende.
Værelset var tilpas. Sengen meget fin. Badeværelse fint.
Selvom der ikke var balkon, kunne man bruge en fælles balkon for etagen.

Restauranten havde fin service, men med svingende madkvalitet.
Vinen bliver opbevaret for varmt og havde taget skade.
-
Der var live-musik, men sangeren piano var ikke afstemt med øvrige musik fra cd, hvilket gav en pinagtig falskhed.

Ruhiges Hotel am Rande des Bergwaldes

Ich war drei Wochen in diesem Hotel in der Nähe von Chang Mai und habe die Ruhe und die gute Luft genießen können. Mit meinem gemieteten Fahrzeug war ich beweglich und konnte Besuche der Stadt bzw. der Umgebung frei gestalten. Insgesamt übertraf diese Situation sogar meine Erwartungen.

풀장 썬베드에 누워서 본 하늘과 나무가 반사된 옆 건물의 유리창 풍광은 지금도 잊을 수가 없습니다. 몇년 있다가 꼭 다시 가 보고 싶습니다.

確かにリゾート型のホテルですが…

評価がそれなりで期待していたのですが期待ハズレで非常に残念でした。
シャワーのコンディションが非常に悪くそれを従業員に伝えた所、早急に直すと…
次の日になっても直っておらず…
ドアの開け閉めの音や隣の部屋の声が筒抜けで防音対策は皆無。
クオリティは最悪です。

野外レストランが安くておいしい

評価出来るのはそれぐらい。
他は何にも評価する所はない。
部屋にいたっては致命的。
シャワーカーテンにカビが生えており小バエも飛んでおり不衛生なホテルです。
宿泊していただければ分かりますがオススメは絶対にしません。
従業員の対応も人を見て変える対応です。
見かけ倒しのホテルです。

เขาพักสี่คืนที่นี้ ได้พักห้องราคา3000กว่าๆๆ แม่บ้านน่ารัก พนักงานส่วนต่างๆๆทำงานไม่เป็นระบบ พนักงานไม่ค่อยรู้งานเท่าที่ควร ห้องพักด้านบนอาบน้ำ เดิน เราพักอยู่ด้านล่างแต่ได้ยินเสียงดัง ไปเชียงใหม่คงไม่กลับไปพักอีก
