I was participating in the UTMB 100km ultramarathon in December 2025 and needed a base for my time there. What a lovely hotel - great staff - very helpful - and that restaurant downstairs - what a find ! Maybe it was the marathon tiredness - but that bed was so comfortable and easy to sleep in - just wonderful ! Thanks for a great stay.

One of the rudest staff I have ever seen. Zero service and always busy. Refused to help me with the coffee machine, refused to provide ketchup with omlet. The list will go on. I think this hotel staff needs to be sent back to the management school. And it’s not just me, while travelling to the next hotel the taxi shared a similar experience of many other guest. Apparently he has taken many passengers to other hotels. For the same reason “ Bad service “

I booked five nights based on the reviews, but I was very disappointed. The room had a persistent musty smell, and there was also a strong odor of cigarette smoke, which seemed to be coming from downstairs or somewhere within the building. In addition, the shower area had a significant amount of mold, and each time I opened the bathroom door, there was an overwhelming stench of mold and dampness. I understand this may not be a top tier luxury hotel, but considering the brand, the overall condition was far below expectations.
I was disappointed with Novotel at Bangkok Airport before because it wasn’t clean and the price was high, but I booked it this time hoping it would be different. However, it still seems that, at least in Thailand, Novotels don’t really meet the standards expected of the brand.

Good location and great buffet breakfast for both westerners and asians. Hotel and rooms are very clean and in new condition. Not sure I’m crazy about the open concept bathroom and room but not a deal breaker. Gym facilities were well equipped with plenty of free weights and machines.

Set apart from the main street, this hotel provides a quiet calm space. Its relatively new and spacious. The bar and dining area has a nice open feature. The food and beverage staff esp Kookae is especially attentive and the F&B manager provided us with good local options for dining which was excellent. Easy walking distance to mall and good dining options around the place. definitely recommend if visiting chiangmai on business.

This is primarily a business and transit hotel.
Prior to booking we checked most recent reviews and did not fathom this.
Just be aware that it's right under the flight path (loud) and also for the money there are infinite better options for tourists who may appreciate a better location and general traditional hotel ambience.

During our trip we stayed in far nicer hotels for a lot less money. We expected a little more from an Accor hotel such as the Novotel and wanted our last 2 nights in Chiang Mai to be somewhere nice. But this is not a resort hotel. So our miss judgement. Staff were very accomodating

Finally, the walls are paper this and you can here every little noise from neighbours, even several rooms away. Lol. This should mot be Novotel standard. Even $50p/n stays in old Chiang Mai vintage guesthouses had better wall insulation. Lol again.

Staff were great, friendly, however management and or Accor seriously need to look at what they are offering under the Novotel brand in this location.Facilities are lacking, swimming pool on roof with tiny area and no option to get out of sun, terrace rooms are just a table and chairs tucked under a giant construction fence, with very little shade, lots bird mess, not cleaned before or during my stay and upstairs guests ashing cigarettes down onto table and chairs which management allowed to continue after being alerted to it.
Breakfast buffet seriously lacking in choice and quality. Certainly not what I expected from past experiences with the Novotel brand.
Again not a reflection on staff, definitely a reflection on Accor.

Property is along flight path of some late night flights that can still be heard going into midnight. Nearby bar can be heard too and noise goes away after midnight. It didn’t really affect my sleep but for light sleepers, do bear that in mind. Really close to the maya mall and nearby cafes in the nimman area.

Our Impression to the Hotel is new , room is big and clean , comfy bed. Everything the hotel uses is with good quality
hallway is a bit messy due to renovations.

Aircraft and nearby bars made noises at night , but the noises are usually gone after 12am.

Location of the property is quite good , 5 min walk to MAYA Lifestyle Mall, and few steps to a night market nearby

Everything was fantastic. Just one thing, the lights in the bedroom are all grouped up. It is hard when you have more than one guest. For example one wishes to off a certain light and keep another light switched on there are no such option

The staff and rooms were lovely. The beds were extremely comfortable

However, there are issues with noise and location. The corridor flooring creates a lot of noise, and the large number of visitors coming and going late at night (tour groups) make it hard to sleep. The hotel is also under the flight path which at times made it feel like a jet plane was going to come through a wall.

The location of the hotel is right next door to an empty lot which has a big metal fence around it, which. Completely renders the balcony off the rooms on one side as useless.

I like the modern design of the room and amenities at the property such as pool and gym. It is also located on “Nimman” area where it is walkable for foodies. One thing that I found creepy is the alley leading to hotel entrance where there was limited light and it made me feel uncomfortable walking out at night, but hotel staff sent a message to me explaining that the property is newly open and they are developing lighting system. I have a pleasant stay with Novotel.

Brand new. Little bit away from old town but it takes about 10 minutes to get there by taxi(any car). Super comfy bed. There is a every day night market near Maya mall.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Everything was in good condition and brand new, interior is modern and comfortable.
A few things that bothered me during our stay, our room was on the ground floor and located in a corridor next to the hotel lobby. The noise coming from the lobby and corridor waked is up every early morning. The noise protection was poor, you could hear people talking in the corridors.
Room was tidied up every day but was never vacuumed or floor was never cleaned throughout my four night stay, my hair was found all over the room.
Last, most disappointing was there was a cleaning staff that knocked my room every morning at 8am asking if I need to clean up the room even if my do not disturb notice was hung in front of my door.
Apart from these, the hotel and rooms itself are great.

Their service was somewhere between \"slow\" and \"ridiculously slow\".
When you ask them to do something, you can't know if it will take 15 minutes, 45 - 90 minutes, or will just never happen.

At a comparable hotel in Bali, everything happens right away.

We arrived around 3pm which is the check-in time and the room wasn't ready for us. The staff just run around and didn't say anything about the room and let us wait for almost an hour. Some parts of the building were still under the construction and the elevator wasn't ready to be used and it was ugly. The room was very small compare to other hotel with the same price in that area. The check-out staff didn't look up if we already paid for the room from Expedia and almost charge us for the room twice. The management is bad and staffs have no experience.

New hotel near shopping and restaurants

Very new hotel 8 min walk to Maya Shopping center and the hip neighborhood of Nimman. Rooms are cheerful and bright and beds are very comfortable. Pool is on rooftop, so a liitle small, restaurant is good, and they have a small gym. Overall, loved it and would return. Good value for money.

Comfortable rooms, and good service. Hotel shows some signs of tear and wear. Pool is located on the roof top, and is not too accomodating. View out of the hotel room was not very nice, looking onto a dirty yard next to the hotel. The hotel bar is quite nice.
